Im doing a total restoration of my 1996 xr600. I havent really started yet, but it seemes to be a hard restoration when it comes to get parts. Not plastic and easy stuff, but decomp parts for engine and so on. I might need to buy a used engine or something. Scammers are also working hard on sites, so its hard to trust people. Too bad that it has become like this.

Hi yes I agree, finding parts is the hardest part . Fowlers honda bristol uk , also cms netherlands are good also everett honda usa . I had to get some parts from breakers to . Good luck on your build well worth it when done . My next vid will be on my xr600r not a full resto just suspension work and a good clean up . 😀

Hi thanks , getting there. This build much quicker parts are more available 👍. Still a bit messy at mo oily fingers prints etc . Not going to the extent as i did on 650 as this one will live off road i hope 😀 if i get time that is .

Ah great thank you . I started doubting my work been measuring and checking wheel on off many times haha 😆. It just seems like it should come all the way through. Thanks again saved me from worrying 👍👍👍

Reference your front spindle, can you make sure your two spacers (left side) are placed together correctly as they look like both touching on the smaller ends when I think they both should have the smaller ends out. Small end into hub and small end into fork.

What did you use to clean the headers? They look new. Thanks in advance!

Hi thanks for watching 👍. A few stages of cleaning , 1 started with just soft brush by hand , 2 wet and dry paper 600grit , 3 wire wool , 4 wipe down dry cloth , 5 used 3 in 1 oil on cloth and polished it in when this gets hot it will stain the pipe slightly gold and be easier to clean next time . Hope this helps 😀.
