I’m not exaggerating when I say that this scene made me cry harder than I ever have for an show. I was a sobbing mess even before this scene but then Cliff said “I made it home.” And I was gone. Such a goofy show with an absolutely beautiful ending.
I'd like to start with this video being how I first saw this scene now. I sobbed through it and minutes have passed and I still am. I lost my grandfather a month ago and he spent the last 24 years just wanting to be in my life. That probably contributes to my crying.
No superhero media has wrapped up a group of thoroughly interesting characters in such a short and satisfying way as this finale. Everyone got wrapped up and became the ppl they were always meant to.
It’s a shame that Rory will continue the cycle of abandonment but at least he’s still trying to be a better person to his family down the way and Cliff is finally seeing everything his family before he passed away getting emotional 😭
Rory likely continued the cycle because Cliff wasn’t there to mentor him, to teach Rory not to repeat the mistakes that he (Cliff) made….but because Rory will be there for Jordy, it does mean the Steele cycle of abandonment will be broken and it’ll be broken thanks to Rory. And Cliff got to see Rory do it.
When the final light left his eyes got me , such a long emotional yet funny adventure. I wished he lived longer and the doom patrol never disbanded but all good things must come to an end and begin again anew.
Whyy.. just whyyy..?? Sucks to see it all come to an end, but happy Cliff got that final moment to see things kind of work. Heart breaking scene, fantastic show
That's what the doom patrol is for people who are outcasts finding solace with others and working through trauma then get called upon when needed again
Show starts on Cliff’s being a living piece of garbage and ends on his being a halfway decent father who watches his grandson slowly but surely break the cycle of abandonment set by the men who came before. Beautiful.
I love the fact that with the final scene in the entire show, every single member of the main cast has finally appeared on the show with their faces. (Matthew Zuk was older Rory in this scene)
Hey if you watched Banshee you should watch Warrior. Apparently same creator and just as good. Might be slightly better. Anyway Doom Patrol was one of the best.
@@chrisfarley503 i haven’t even watch breaking bad! One day one when im retired and have all the time in the world. I’ll binge watch everything that I miss. Series like Doom patrol and game of thrones was just in my line of sight. I watched accidentally and was hooked.
It's poetic that the show started with Cliff and ended with him
Makes sense. He is after all the mascot of the entire series
Glad he made it home.
The fact that the show ends on Cliff peacefully passing away is like a gut punch

Right there with you, even my boyfriend who never cries shed some tears.

Just when I thought Sons of Anarchy's "I got this" made me cry. Doom Patrol was like hold my coffee.

Same here, this is one of the best endings in comic series history for me…..that last line reminded me a lot of my grandfather
“I made it home.”
Man, that made the backs of my eyes go warm…

Agree ,some curse can never been broken ,we can only accept them and look in another direction.

I miss Doom Patrol a lot I totally missed a lot 🥹🙏🏾
I'm not crying, it's this goddamn allergy 😢
Good Luck James Gunn!
I watched cliff from the beginning and leave this finale with him seeing the light before he sparked out of life for good.
Best part is Cliff stayed with them even long after he's gone. The Steele legacy lives on.
Anybody else had to just watch this alone so that you didn't cry infront of people?
All aboard the feels train!!
I’m not crying, you’re crying.
Why am I doing this to myself ?
masochism my dude
Finish watching Doom Patrol Season 3 & 4😭❤
The ending broke me
I’ll never forgive HBO for canceling all their shows.
I will say they really knew how to hit us with a good ending. but a very sad one
