Bizzaro because I've seen other reactions with this band that hasn't gotten block. So the good thing is that it seems we're good to go. Glad you didn't think I was ignoring the requests :)

    Grace off of Wrath is a legendary song. It has all the beatdowns of their main catalog and features some beautiful guitar duo work as an intro. Whether you do a reaction or not, you're going to like the band even more for creating it when you hear it. The live renditions are extended in the opening in the best ways.

    When I saw the title I was almost upset that you were doing Laid to Rest but by the end of the video you helped me appreciate a song I'd heard a million times again. I just didn't think this lamb of god song would be much fun for a composer but I really enjoy your insight. Their song Reclamation is one of my all time favorites and has a unique composition with time signature changes, brutal riffs, ocean sounds and a panning guitar breakdown that will send your mind through a loop man. Love the work you're doing, hope your stuff stops getting blocked

    I found the one! Actually like with many people, this song was my intro to LOG, but when I first heard it as a 10 year old I didn't really recognize the complexity of the arrangement, I just knew it was and still is a killer song! So many songs to recommend from this band, they've consistently put out bangers for over 20 years now!
    I'd love to hear your perspective on "King Me" and "Reclamation" in particular. They're two of their epic album closers, and hence have great atmospheres. "Overlord" has the rare, unique cleans from their vocalist, Randy Blythe. Lastly, "Walk with Me in Hell", "Memento Mori", and "Hourglass" are highlights from their regular songs.

    Lamb of God is masterclass level metal. It was this album that they really started paying attention to their sound engineering. Their first album still sounded good in a raw sense, but their 2nd album here and on, they worked on engineering and expanding their sound which makes them one of the best metal bands out there. Each new album felt like a level up from the previous one. And Chris Adler is one of my hero drummers. He self taught himself drums on a right handed kit even though he's left handed. He's a very fast, technical, and precise drummer. His brother is also lead guitarist which may explain their level of tightness in playing. The singer Randy Blythe, used to be a bad alcoholic, but once he sobered up, he really started honing his craft, and it shows. He was also dealing with PTSD after serving in Iraq at that time, so I don't judge him harshly for his drinking. I'm just glad he's in a better place for himself. I think he's a hugely underrated songwriter. His lyrics are really good. I highly recommend you give the song the album was named after, Ashes of the Wake, a listen. It's more of an instrumental with some spoken words, which actually says a lot in a few words, and shows how tight the guitars and drums are. Keep up the good work my good man. Mahalo!

    • @lilpoo22
      @lilpoo22 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's such a shame that Chris is not there anymore... He was really driving the band to surpass itself album after album. Ashes of the wake, sacrament, wrath, resolution, Sturm und Drang, they all surpass themself and go in places they never touched before. With the last one I really sensed that Chris was not there and that they stagned. I really hope it's just cause they had to release an album quick and didn't wanted to go too deep cause of the new drummer so they stayed in known water. I feel like they just pick in their bank of riff, it's all sound the same except momento Mori. Like you can't say it's bad cause it's classic sound lamb of god that we love but you can't say it's great either...
