    I CANNOT get enough of those GE90s, especially the thrust increase right at 06:00! Consider this a sneak peek of another trip report coming soon 👀

    The GE 90‘ s are power pure. I like the Triple 7-300 ER with this huge engines. It is a wonderful widebody plane!

    Stunning!! This view and that sound never get old!

  • @RyanEmeryLovesCars
    @RyanEmeryLovesCars 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    These are such strange-sounding engines and sound so distinctive compared to RR and PW turbofans. It starts as a high-pitched whine that keeps climbing until a deep, buzzsaw rumble slowly emerges and overtakes the initial whine that then fades away, then that rumble climbs in pitch while becoming more and more coarse sounding. 1:41, 3:06, and 6:00 capture these changes.

    Gotta love that GE90 Sound. i really hope i can fly on a AC 777 someday

    • @dartetov
      @dartetov 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Don’t. AC 777 are some of the densest configurations on the market, and their service is garbage. Actually, I take that back, because it’s disrespectful to garbage to compare it to AIr Canada.

    • @Youngmantis51

      @@dartetov honestly dude I have only flew with Air Canada. I like their service, and i respect your opinion

      @@Youngmantis51 I’m happy that you’ve had good experiences. (Truly, not being sarcastic).
      On one flight to Europe I had fallen asleep (aisle seat) and my foot was overhanging into the aisle. FA was passing by kicked my foot and said “your foot doesn’t belong in the aisle.
      On another flight during meal service I asked for a beer, first one none prior. FA says to me “why don’t you just take a nap instead.
      In both cases when I confronted them they said they would have me arrested when we landed “if I didn’t calm down”, when I was completely calm.
      In both cases the people seated around me were shocked at what happened and were willing to give statements.
      NEVER again with that POS company.

      @@Youngmantis51 Cathay Pacific has much better service than Air Canada.... and their 777-300ER's are kept much cleaner in my opinion. They seem to take more pride in their planes. I've flown to Asia with them. China Eastern is also great. and Philippines Airlines. They all fly 777-300ER's
      The reason you like Air Canada so much is..... you have only flown with them and have no other airline to personally compare them to.

    • @robertwilliamson6121
      @robertwilliamson6121 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@dartetov Air Canada has some terrible customer relations. There are some worse... but also many with much better service to their customers. I found Cathay Pacific to be one of the best personally.

    Man...it's been too long. How much I miss being on a big jet like the 777-300 ER for an ultra-long haul flight north over the Arctic Ocean and then south to south and south east Asia. The take off pressing you into back and down into your seat. The GE90-115B engines..... amazing engineering.
    Later this year or early 2023...... back to Asia.... on a great flight. Maybe never come back. I just got my new ten year passport.

    AP. If you have field contacts at Calgary, ask them if microphones can be set alongside the runway so you can get the engine sounds from the outside.

    ...except that on a long flight the GE90 and its 'racket' can become tiring ... the Trent-powered (-200ERs of course) are wayyy quieter. I have recently flown back to back on both and the difference was huge.
    I have to agree tho that start-up from inside on a GE90 bird is an exhilerating experience!
