In tabletop, the Stormcrow has 182 armor points compared to the Marauder 3R at 184, a 6/9 movement profile putting it even with skirmisher scouts like the Commando, and is over cooled so flamers and inferno SRMs aren't a threat to an all energy build. The clan ERLL does the same damage as an IS PPC but with max range of 25 hexes compared to 18. The C variant is my personal favorite. Clanner space magic in full force with pulse lasers and an LB10X autocannon that can reach out 18 hexes and punch or crit seek. It's a hard to argue against it as a skirmisher in heavier stars, or a hammer for a light lance.
The Stormcrow Prime is one of the most versatile medium mechs in existence. With a loadout stronger than the Crab-27 and the ability to fire it's all energy loadout near continuously due to it's massive cooling potential, it could simply draw the enemy into overheating then kill the now shutdown mech. It's also very fast for a 55 ton mech @ 97kph. This speed lets the pilot pick the engagement range to suit their ER lasers' tastes or withdraw whenever needed with little chance of interception. Combined with it's (quite decent) armor coverage and a gangly profile that made individual components hard to focus... The Stormcrow Prime was hands down the best invasion era clan medium.
Evasion being built into the AI was a great change, it really makes the lighter Mechs more viable. They feel nimble and it makes speed almost as important as armour.
I loved the MW2 manual when I first played MW2. Loved the music too.

Love the MW2 soundtrack. 😎

The keep moving and shooting while going back in between shots strategy is real.
This MWO player humbled his singleplayer mech boomer buddies.
They had to see the poptart to understand the power of the poptart.
Enjoyed watching you play.
My unsure 'mech is, and likely always will be the Atlas-K3, for I am a pure Steiner through and through.
The Stormcrow is a monster, it eats inferior spheroid heavy mechs for lunch.
