The books make it very clear that Harry is bang average. It’s the help from his friends and his bravery that makes him succeed.
You and a lot of other people don’t seem to understand that being a great wizard doesn’t mean you need to be good at casting spells. There’s so many more things that define a “great” wizard in the Harry Potter universe and it’s usually more based on their personalities and actions that come from it

It was a kid's power fantasy to be taken from an abusive home to a magic school where you came from a famous family. With no concerns for money too..
But...yea the goblin banker thing still makes me uncomfortable. Like a lot. Let alone the slavery thing in both the books and the movies.
Yeah it’s really made well to show a fundamental difference in normal vs wizarding culture at the time and begin revealing the seriously dark undertones of the magic world from the get go.
I find it intriguing how they effectively incorporate the borderline feudalism type class divide that matches the other areas of backwardness that their worlds isolationism has resulted in. And perhaps more so, I think the underlying cultural aspects that are direct results of the previous war against Voldemort are very interesting, adding that extra layer when you realise that things would have been blatantly different in many ways before Voldemort.
Yeah, it's however awful written by jk Rowling how he names his kid after an abuser and it's like thr addressed issues Hermione is only one to care oddly enough

What amused me (as I got older) was how casual Harry was to being introduced to the whole Wizardry world.. lil dude got shown a world that shouldn't exist and just simply ran with it 😂
Also its crazy that he knows nothing about the wizard world and they made sure he never learned anything growing up, but they still only sent him a ltter...not even a person to come help him. He got lucky that he saw th weasleys going through the platform.
I’ve seen Harry Potter sporadically throughout my childhood but never cared for it or got into it. I’m 25 now and just got into it and wow; it hits so different. So much more than I ever thought. I watched prisoner of Azkaban on shrooms the other night and holy hell what an absolutely trippy and super layered movie. Definitely enhanced the experience 3 fold.

For those who didnt know the director Christopher Columbus directed the first 2 Harry Potter movies also directed the first 2 home alone movies. So knowing that you can see similarities their is as video comparing films

If you are watching films while high you should try audio/visual synchronicity. Replace the soundtrack with a music album and when it ends either restart it or change to a different album. This film works well with 'Dark Side Of The Moon'. 'Goblet Of Fire' works with 'The Wall' and 'Hits Out Of Hell'.

As a kid watching the movies and reading the books the prisoner of Azkaban was my favorite too, but thats the movie that I feel they started really not adapting the books as well. The 4th movie really went far away from the books...now for the books goblet I'd say is my fav now and for the movies the first 2 movies are the best especially around Christmas time
