Honestly, living in a small town in Saskatchewan, without space for a SIM setup anyway, and on a budget, this would be perfect to pass the time in the winter, especially with some guys from our volunteer-based golf course mens league in Allan, SK.
I live in Montreal. Its a great little tool for working on your game in the winter months. especially in practice mode. I love the swing plane graphs and swing path numbers.
Looks like it would be a fun game to play, especially having a few drinks with your buddies or if you have kids. Good alternative you can’t afford to build or get to an indoor sim. I’m interested in checking it out!
I bought this after watching your video months ago. Been using it daily since. No, its not super accurate but the most underrated things are that 1. My kids can learn golf in the living room with me and they love it. It allows a lot of forgiveness so they dont get upset by bad hits. 2. When i watch a golf instructional video i take out the phigolf stick to practice along with the video without worrying about hitting the floor, a lamp, or the ceiling. Thanks for the recommendation!
1. It comes with a strap so you dont have to worry about the kids throwing it through the wall. 2. It has a mode called approach where you start like 150 yds out and finish the hole. Its perfect for kids.
Align the arrow on the sensor with the club face or center of the grip. When adjusting aim press the button and turn the whole club not just the sensor then press button again. This should help give accurate club face data.
Yeah, I mistakenly asked for Phigolf 1 for Xmas not realizing there was a v2. I hit my 7ir 175-180 but in the game it goes 145 unless I swing out of my shoes. The direction of shots based on my swing is also off somewhat considerably. The chipping and pitching is pretty solid though. Also, for the putting you can actually push the button and turn your body to pick your line.
@@NewNineGolf I'm 6'1" and my living room is "normal" height. Not one of those fancy high ceiling houses. Is the "club" short enough that it wouldn't hit the ceiling? Thanks.
Can you show the PhiGolf with bad swings, I would really be interested in how it works with high handicappers and possible open/closed, inside-out/outside-in swings. Basically people with not so experienced and consistant swing paths and see how they actually register with the sensor compared to high end simulator. Basically, will owning this improve your swing path, tempo, etc? Or will it register a near perfect swing each time. Can you hit fades, slices, draws, or hooks? Can you top or chunk the ball?
Very interesting! 2 questions for ya: 1: Don’t you think that could potentially mess with your golf swing? 2: Is that Grand Funk Railroad for your closing music? Thanks man! Keep up the good work!
1. I think potentially just cuz the weight might throw off your timing. Having said that. The sensor analysing your swing is supposed to help with your tempo. You can also put the sensor at the end of an actual golf club so that might help. 2. It's an indie pop rock track called Fever by the artist Yellen. Thank you. Appreciate it. 🍻
thx for the review. It was real generic though....how does it compare to your real shot shape and distance....how is the putting, can you give more details on how it reacted to purposely bad swings??
I can move the ball both ways with confidence. And poor swings transfer for the game relatively realistic. For the putting, I’d recommend grabbing your real putter and putting the sensor in it.
Very interesting! Would you mind doing us a small favor and try to intentionally mishit (out to in swing, club face open/closed, etc) to see if it registers them properly? Thanks!
To connect your phone to your tv wirelessly, you will need a newer smart tv. You can still connect it to your tv via an HDMI cable. I would just google "how to connect (your phone model) to an older tv) there's videos on TH-cam that will walk you through it.

I'm curious if any bad habits would engrain themselves over a winter with this.... Without "ball contact", you'd loose swing bottom out point, which then gets you into the fats and thins once you introduce a ball. I totally get that this device is just for a bit of fun come winter (like now here in Alberta) but I'd be afraid of bad habits.....just me?
You’re not wrong! You can also put the sensor in a real club and hit balls with it. You’ll get live club data. You could play a round of golf at the range or golf dome.
Desperate to figure out how to screen mirror to my TV and get sound to play. New Iphone and new TV.. everything up to date. Will only mirror image but no sound. Gone through all the obvious checks. Help.. anyone?
@NewNineGolf that's pretty cool. Yah it just never said anything about multi-player from what I saw until I watched your video again lol great content btw bud. Keep up the good work 👏
@NewNineGolf maybe you would know this? Is there anywhere in Calgary that can do putter fittings that can actually do a real putting fitting though. Camera angles, stroke path, all the goodies?
You're right, its definitely not a launch monitor. However, u can actually connect it to the e6 software that alot of other simulators use. I guess the term simulator is up for your interpretation. The sensor does give you club data so similar to Arcos or equivalent technology I'm assuming. You can also connect to a golf club. Its definitely not like a Wii sports video game or whatever else that's out there. I mean for the price, it's pretty good.
I had something similar to this.....don't waste your money on this, unless you are aware it's just an elaborate toy. There is no ball to strike, therefore no true measure of swing path, angle of attack, ball strike, face angle, etc. If you have a Will, stick with that. This WILL NOT help your golf game at all. If you want real data, get a used foresight or trackman.
This has a sensor on the end of the club to record tempo and analyze your swing similar to something like an arcos or comparable swing analyzer. You can actually put this on the end of an actual golf club and hit balls with it. You can't do so with a Wii. It's a fun golf game/simulator/analyzer. I don't think anyone looking at this is comparing it to a 20-30k launch monitor. Haha. Even with launch monitor, it still won't make you better. It's tool, just depends on how you use it. Even playing on one as a simulator won't make you better. I don't know how someone can dismiss something for others when they haven't even used it or used "something similar"
So with the WGT software you have to pay to play certain courses and with E6, you get one free course and you have to pay for a subscription unlock 40 courses and other game modes. The Phigolf software is free to play.

Perfect for the winter blues!
Mate, get a Quest 3 and Golf+. Standing on a sunny golf course in VR, when It's winter outside, is just amazing.
Looks legit! Really like the aiming and alignment in the Bluetooth sensor.

Perfect timing. Courses in Canada are starting to close. Great cost efficient way to keep swinging a club over the winter !
Nice to hear it's better than the original. Might be time for an upgrade!
Much needed for the cold weather here.

Love it! So much mor practical than a simulator at home
Looks pretty sweet and a good way to stay loose in the frigid Calgary winters!!
Totally!
I have the first version, but this new one would be as wonderful to also play WGT, which I play daily on smartphone!...thanks!
Would love that for the cold Alberta winters!
Need this to numb the pain of the bush league winters here in Sasky! Looks sick!
Phigolf and a case of Pilsner and you’re laughing!
@@NewNineGolf perfect way to beat the winter blues.
Looks like a interesting alternative to a traditional sim if your lacking the space and or funds
Exactly! Even if you have the room for a full sim or new you can put the sensor in a real club and hit balls and get the club data.
This is another reason I moved to the West Coast!
Bandon Dunes anyone?! 😎
Sounds so good right now.
Just got our first snowfall of the season here in Ottawa... I wasn't ready to put the club away yet. Hopefully this can help.
Same! Winter is the worst

Exactly! Already shot twice as good my second round.
Were you able to get the E6 software to work with it? I wasn't :(
This looks like a sick alternative to paying 4 figures for a full out sim!
Looks much better than the 1st edition. Did you happen to find out what extras you need to pay for?
Just the E6 or WGT software if you want to play on those platforms. The Phigolf software I was playing on is free.

I should have included that! In testing it, I can intentionally miss hit it right and left. It’s surprisingly accurate.
What are the difference between version 1 and 2? Just the connection to Wgt and E6 Connect? Or there is more to consider?
The swing / club data is a lot more accurate in version two. Plus the integrations.
Can you please tell me if the Phigolf (1 or 2) simulator with swing stick can be used by left handed? Thank you in advance.
Yes they both can
