My memories of the Milwaukee Railroad go back to the the 50’s in Jackson Minnesota With the steam engines and wonderful Memories my Grandpa worked for the Railroad gif over 50 years and was in charge of the Jackson facility My Dad also worked For the MR until it was closed down What great memories I have. I wish They had made a museum out the facility In Jackson It would have been awesome
We miss the road"43 yrs lived by the Ford plant in St Paul...tracks to plant were 70' my apt...10 mph track all way to dntwn 5.3mi used to hop and get off dntwn bus home, last train into Ford plant 2012,200 acre yard is all condos in 2023,trains 5x a day...the best old days for me
It costed them more money in Derailment's then it would've cost them to just maintain the Damn mainline .Former N.P. / B.N. management sure did a number on the Milwaukee Road .
Very nice…images reminiscent of 70s railroading anywhere in the U.S. One critique: a quick brush and puff of air across the slides before you scan ‘em.
Wow! I so miss the 70ths, these pictures and videos bring a tear to my eye's. Good Stuff! Thanks.

@2:43 engine #193 looks like it has some sort of bull horn by the regular horn. What was that?
That would be the electronic bell.
