How lovely the sounds coming out of silence ,as you cycle across the land ,how the vegetation crackles beaneath your feet , how the bark of the tree russles , fire talk and soft rain ,food being prepared . . . . .all a delight to ones ears . How gently you move across this delcious landscape . Thank you from England .
Fantastic, love this direction. Music was great, angles were interesting. Very peaceful yet told a lovely story. Less can be more sometimes, especially today where there is so much noise, and so little signal.
Thank you Chris! I have had to practice it many times to make it stick but such a wonderful skill to have. Anyone can learn! It's a bit fiddly in the beginning but you'll get the hang of it for sure! All the best
I hope it was good for y’all to do something different. I bike tour with my wife (@pronetowander.together) so what we enjoy is the communication and teamwork between you guys. You were a big part of our just completed “1700 mile trek from Rome to Amsterdam then across the pond” trip. So, this style of video isn’t our favorite. Cheers though!
I appreciate the "mushin no shin" vibe of this video. I usually watch your more instructional or informational content, but this was a pleasant departure. Thanks for a very peaceful 15min!
Dank & Groet!
I love the place, so soft and benign, so different than here (Mendoza Andes) instead is the opposite, now in summer there are gusts, hail, 35°C during the day and under 0° at night. The terrain is all rocks and dust, the plants are cacti, thorns and spines. The sun is abrasive, no ozone layer. Anyway, your video is very good. I think you coul talk while doing things tell something about stealth camping or the things you use or your meal recipe some times. Best wishes
i live in copenhagen and can take the train to sweden in no time. going tomorrow for a 1 day forrest tour. its strange but i always get another energy when i ride in another country. nice with a pre season video.
I can relate to that! How nice to be able to take a train over to Sweden. Such an amazing place for camping 👌🏼 I hope you had a great time! All the best!
It's Stealth-Eric. suddenly looking a bit more tactical. Perfect color scheme. My latest new things are trying millet instead of oatmeal, which is harder on your gut lining. (glyphosate here in USA) I love mug breakfasts like that. I even add coffee into the cereal. And peanut butter, if I have that. Good for 30 miles or so. I just got a Peruvian Alpaca wool hooded poncho and a camo military rain poncho, which might also double as a tent fly. That system is a bit bulky, but unbeatable for sitting around camp. Feels cozier. Gonna do a two nighter soon for trout. Onward.
Nice Robert! That sounds like a good system. Being comfy in the cold is must! Never tried millet but I am stepping away from oats for the same reasons. Also I find the energy output is just mediocre for me. Love some peanut butter :) Happy fishing, Best!!
Nice! Looks like the shootings of Martijn Doolaard in the Alpes renovating his cabin and that is a compliment because Martijn Doolaard is a master at it! Guess you are influenced by him.
Very Cool video without speach!! Complete serenity 😊. Question: you did not use a protective layer under the cooker to avoid the ground from catching fire...not to speak of the fire in the woods....that is pretty dangerous...not only for you?
Nice! Thanks :) Good question! The ground was very wet and I selected a save spot away from branches etc. so I didn't have any doubt about being a fire hazard. Very important to be (fire) safe!!
It's a beautiful video, but it's very idealised. Minimal gear, perfect setting, etc. In a previous video, you all said that you had left your apartment/flat and were living totally on the bikes. I would like to see more details of how you all cope with living on bikes in the winter. Thanks
Thank God that the materialism that each and everyone of us has, sets us apart and reveal our uniqueness. There are a ton of UNCUT lives who do nothing, but take away from their peers; from our academics to our creative talents to even from some, our Family history; parents, relatives, etc. and here is the kicker of it all; all these phagocytic types of human souls DENY all the lives in whom they have STOLEN FROM.
Hi Jay! There are many for different reasons. Noway and Sweden for bushcraft. The Sahara for the magic of emptiness. Otherworldly landscapes in Tajikistan. So many places still to visit...!
Nice video out in the woods, but you didn't speak... New tent for one person, how is Maudi doing? Tell her she was missed... See ya on the next video, and Eric it's great to see you, I always look to see if you've done new videos... ❤for Maudi, and still waiting for the video of Maudi changing a flat tire... maybe in the future 😅😅😅
Personally I would like to see long-haul travel videos like you used to do. Not short rides close to home like this one. Or short tours like the Morocco videos.
Amazing scenes, Eric! Inspired me to pack up some gear and go for an overnighter away from the metropolitan chaos. Was this filmed in the Netherlands? Didn't see a lot of woods there during my cycling tour a few years back.
Dank! Dat is kokos santen. Erg lekker en ideaal als je het mij vraagt. Het smelt door de hitte. Een klein beetje vocht erbij om het iets te verdunnen is misschien gewenst anders wordt het wat "dik".
Arent you afraid of camping alone in the forest? On my trips i allways stay in campings or other places. I would like to be more free, but it feels a bit unsetling to stay like that in the woods. I know its irrational fear, but i think i wouldnt sleep well. With another person I would do it with no problem, but alone.. Does it get better with time? Is there something you do to make it easier? Thanks.
I had to start as a beginner too. Yes, it's a bit daunting at first but it will get better. For sure a thing to get used too and when you do nothing compares. Give it some trail and error and realise that it could be a process... All the best!
Vriendelijke groet Aad
Totally chill, I like no music, and the real sounds. Good job.
🙏🏼 Super! Thanks 😊
yes its very nice with nature sounds, and not some crazy acdc number on full blast. that you hear in some videos.

Love your films , thank you

Why am I fascinated that a country as small as the Netherlands has places like this? 🙂
I don't know. It's quite diverse and has place similar like this. I would add some big mountain ranges though if I could have my way 😉
I love the place, so soft and benign, so different than here (Mendoza Andes) instead is the opposite, now in summer there are gusts, hail, 35°C during the day and under 0° at night. The terrain is all rocks and dust, the plants are cacti, thorns and spines. The sun is abrasive, no ozone layer.

@WheelstoWander Thank you I appreciate that
Nice video, I really enjoyed it. What was that white stuff you added to your breakfast at 10:32 - some kind of coconut fat?
It's dehydrated creamed coconut with a bit of fat. Lightweight, easy and delicious :) Thanks!
Loved it, haven't seen you for awhile, stay well.

It's Stealth-Eric. suddenly looking a bit more tactical. Perfect color scheme. My latest new things are trying millet instead of oatmeal, which is harder on your gut lining. That is an older video, we did that for a long time! There are videos of us in Turkey during winter which are more in depth!
@@WheelstoWander OK - thanks.

The food looked...interesting.
What was the white thing you added to the rice?
Haha, it's creamed coconut! Very delicious :)
How do you dry your gear out when it is constantly damp , I went bike camping in the Biesbos and all my gear was damp and ended up getting moldy
It is a challenge for sure! Everything takes way more time so don't be in a hurry. I am hoping to find the perfect answer someday 😉
Where is your whole bikepacking set up
I could tour with this quite extensively!
A little strange without hearing your voice - but such a great capture of the moment

very nice video, but it is a lot of set up for just one night, I think this is more convenient for a longer stay.
It's quite some work indeed! I expected more rain and then a canopy like that is worth the extra time in my opinion.
Eric! Which place was the best for wild camping that you have been too?
Hi Jay! There are many for different reasons. Noway and Sweden for bushcraft. The Sahara for the magic of emptiness. Otherworldly landscapes in Tajikistan. So many places still to visit...!
