But generally I like performing magic for people who are non-magicians that are also "into" magic.... :) I've discovered over time that some people just simple don't enjoy magic as much as the next person. And some people love every moment of it and appreciate every nuance! :) Those are more easy to perform for and of course it's more enjoyable!

Ukraine seemed like a nice place to stop traveling and focus on building a TH-cam channel. :) I keep forgetting that I should probably make a video about this.... it just seems like a BIG task to encapsulate all that and communicate it well.

Fun video! I very much like that this is done in a relaxed "at home" way. This is how it is doing magic for a few friends at someone's house or a pub. I noticed some other comments that this video is not a polished performance - but that is entirely the point, it is not supossed to be. Victoria is very photogenic, and is very appealing on camera.
The first trick is one of my all time favorite tricks to perform because of the reactions it gets despite how simple it is to perform. One way I’ve found to perform this is to pick up the card with the deck hand the first go through then “pick up” the card with the deck hand the second pass. Makes the move natural for more keen observers. I also like to have the spectator do something different the second time around - or have a second person do it - then freak out when the trick didn’t work a second time around. Quickly Talk through what happened and figure out with the spectator(s) what went wrong. Then go “Ohhhh. Well then your card is here!” And flip the blue card.

Nice. I think I can reverse-engineer the first two card tricks. _Some_ of the last one too (I think it involves ancient Egyptians and cutting the odd ones out) but aside from that I'm not sure if you're just being super accurate with your banking accounts or if there's some other twist there.

Hey Jason, I saw you interviewing some of the magicians from Fool Us.... Can you do such a similar interview with someone from the Spanish school like maybe Daortiz or Yann Frisch or Aragon or Javi Benitez..... I will like to have some insight about their ideas on magic.... you know right... that their ideas vary significantly from the American magicians....
We know it was a jack and that he pulled the correct card, she knew it was the correct card when he revealed it, though she said the wrong name maybe because English isn't her native language. Who cares?
yeah it was just a little trouble with her English... in fact before we started filming I was teaching her the names of them in English. Pretty amazing how good people's English is in Ukraine, for being a second language when most of them already know two! (Ukrainian and Russian).
OH... and after I repeat "King of Hearts" back and show the Jack of Hearts... you will hear a little DIIIIINNG sound effect. A green arrow was supposed to appear at that moment and point to the card name in the upper left corner for emphasis. Somehow the video editing software (Final Cut Pro) decided it didn't want to show the arrow after rendering the final video!! Thanks a bunch FCP! 😆 I can still see it in the editing timeline... but just didn't render out. Oh well!

The irony of this comment is that it was about her getting the name of the card wrong, and it got the name of the card she got wrong wrong.
