Should The New York Rangers TRADE For PAVEL BUCHNEVICH?

- New York Rangers will possibly look to add a top 6 forward this offseason and if they do former Rangers Pavel Buchnevich could be the perfect target. When he was with the Rangers Pavel played quite a bit with Kreider and Zibanejad so there very well could still be some good chemistry left from that time together.

I do miss Buchnevich! I hated that they traded him. I'm not sure about a 1st rounder and Kakko. Maybe a 1st rounder and 2 mid prospect. It's a 1 year rental.
Buch is one of the better options... potentially. I also wouldn't mind a Tarasenko reunion.
They should’ve never traded him away but the key today’s all season is getting rid of the captain at all costs, no matter a buyout whatever just get rid of them he is not captain Jacob

Why trade prospects & draft picks when Otthman is THE perfect RW to play with Z&K. O can score & plays a physical game. Exactly what that line needs. It's the D we need to upgrade!
Panarin, first round, and maybe 3rd round pick for Drisatle. I love bread man so much but he became a ghost this season.

It isn't just the cost for Buch, but the cap cost especially if you want to look past next year.
Need a grinder who can pass and isn't scared to get hit to play with them , otherwise just split them up, cause its not worth losing over
Pavel’s trade will ultimately define Drury’s tenure if Rangers can’t win the cup. How many draft picks and money did we waste trying to fill that hole? He has not pulled a similar haul to right the ship since the trade.

The biggest mistake he made was passing over Knobloch and hiring Laviolette who will be fired within 3 years as usual while Knobloch would have been here for more than 5 years. Did the same thing with Quinn when he hired Gallant who had a history of being canned after the second year. PL has won a Stanley Cup and taken 5 teams to the playoffs and been fired 5 times after a couple of years. Doesn't that say something?
This is a panic button move, imo. Yes, near or at ppg player, but not the type to get us where we need to be.

Panthers are just a good team. Everyone hating on Mika need to remember, not only did he take a discount, he had a pretty good season and decent playoffs until the last series. It happens. I'm not saying it's excusable, but do you now how many teams would kill to be us right now? All-star goaltender, Fox, Panarin, Laf is growing up, Tro, Mika, Kreider. Top power play and penalty kill. They don't need to be rebuilt, they just need a few psychical pieces. Trouba needs to go, Miller either traded or get better. Losing. Chytil and Vesey hurt. Goodrow came through big in the playoffs. I'd package Kakko plus Miller and maybe some draft picks, if possible for a top two RW.
If you want Buch, I think you'd need to start with Lindgren. I kinda doubt that alone does it, though.

Good Video, as usual. I think that ship has sailed. Even the fact I liked him, it might be the best years of him were over in St. Louis. Unfortunately, due to the mistake to trade for/sign Jacob Trouba John Davidson & Jeff Gorton made, GM Chris Drury had to trade him, since, as he said, it was a matter of Dollars & Cents. No stupid to try to get Buch, Drury got rid of him for a reason I don’t agree with the reason but doesn’t make sense to make a trade . He isn’t the guy we need, and giving up our future for a almost 30 year old guy who might have chemistry with Mika and Kreids isn’t something I’m doing

Imma guess:
Stl gets Roslovic rights, signs with stl for 3 or 4 years, - I think stl has forward slot open, a 3rd, then a prospect or two, depending on what gmda wants for the future and how that all shakes out.
I guess the deal could also be roslovic rights and kakko straight up. I don’t think nyr would have to contribute more in that scenario, stl would maybe have to give a little back for 2 roster skaters.
As of now I’d propose the highest that buchnevich’s value will ever be is on the trade deadline and he would have to be healthy as well as performant.
Every day before that day he is worth less. So less than a B+ prospect and a 1st.
Not my top choice , but i wouldn't be mad either . Really would depend on the price, i dont think buch is gonna be the piece that gets us over the hump but if the price is right .
With Buch......who wad the play driver on the mika line.......that mika line was top 5 in nhl 5 vs 5

Every time a trade is made that player is no longer the same as he was previously and that's because if placed on the Kreider, Mica line more concentration by the coaches are pointed to those two players. Players that were with the Rangers tend to play better on other teams, why?
