Death's Gambit: Afterlife - Heroic Dark Knight (no damage, 110 lvl)

Phew. That was close. But "Jump dodge" talent saved me again :D
Today i tried Assassin class using recommended level against Dark Knight.
I tried to make cooldown reduction build for assassin and i think it's pretty nice. The key is "perfect block" and rolling as much as you can XD. Light of the Grey Wanderer is important item for me against Dark Knight.
Items used:
Consumed Knight's Helm +5
Cloak of Darkness +5
Consumed Knight's Boots +5
Light of the Grey Wanderer
Blades of the Phoenix +5
Necrotic Shield
Augment Plume x10 (150% increase damage)
Stats: Level 110 Assassin
VIT 1(+27)
FIN 77(+25)
END 15
HST 30

I feel stupid.. How are you able to see during that purple ring (instant death, forget your stats) move? Things go pitch black for me and I can't gauge diddly squat. I just can't figure out the counter to it.

Can you help me with my choice? ...Is there any real difference between parry and blocking in that counterattack after it, and receiving energy? I want to start with soldier or sentinel, but parry is not so comfort for me on game-pad(blocking I can do better), but sentinel reduce 50% of stat for shields.

Difference are: Parry will stagger the boss perfect block wont except for the dmg ure dealing and you have about 3 seconds to do whatever when you parry, parry heals you, does more damage than perfect block.
Also Tipp: if you don't feel comfortable with parrying that is prolly caus of the awkward default controls (you can fully customize tnem)

Ese es el bloqueo perfecto. Si levantas el escudo a ultimo segundo puedes paralizar algunos enemigos y jefes. Si atacas inmediatamente después del bloqueo lanzas un ataque que te hace inmune durante su ejecución.

Dark Knight makes specific sounds before most of his attacks. I try to hear them)

Is he unparriable ?
I can counter him with perfect blocking but he seems unparriable with regular parry. Regular parry has more dmg than perfect blocking. Spamming Parry is my strategy to beat some level 80 heroic bosses at level 50 since I didn't have enough dmg.

Honestly I haven't tried to parry him, I usually use perfect block to lower the cooldown of abilities and kill the blob

You can parry him, but if ure used to the blocking it rly becomes hard, caus parry window is earlier

Oh, do you mean abilities cooldown? Talents and haste in stats helped me. Also talent Gouge mastery increasing casting speed

Oh thanks. Actually Dark Knight have dark magic resistance, so it might be harder to fight him as acolyte
