I managed to put the seals on with the doors in place. It involves pulling the rubber down (which obviously then becomes thinner) past the hinges. Even when you squeeze contact adhesive down the channel, it should still work when it eventually goes off. You can then close the door fully to hold the seal in place. I didn’t do this because of the risk of the door sticking if there is any surplus, but you could open and shut the door to check. As you know, different seal makers have their own profiles so do a dry run to see if you can pull it through ok.
Hi Gary, briliant video. Think your right about the colour of the sealent. Clear would only go yellowish as it aged... keep up the good work. Be interesting to watch the headlining fiting, if that camera is pointing in the right direction of course..GN
Yeah it's quite a good camera but has annoying habits, perhaps I should read the instructions 😁😁 Not looking forward to the headlining, but it has to be done.
Thanks for a very informative video Gary.

Good video, now I'm waiting for the xk8. 👍🇬🇧
Remove each hinge, just the side that bolts to the door itself, one at a time and just pass the door rubber behind the hinge.
certainly worth a try
