it's not just the high caffeine, its the high potassium content that's the prob and has a high chance of escalating heart related problems, not to mention the 15mg of sucralose, and just bad marketing to children without an open disclaimer do proper research before making a video.

@@heey_im_mike my guess is that children genuinely have a higher tolerance to sweet things. I'm not sure how old you are but I'm 19 so I'm kind of bridging that gap. From the ones I've tried they're definitely very sweet but I find them decent especially if I am craving something pretty sweet. Also its technically healthier than gatorade, at least their main lineup. I defienetly see myself growing out of it at some point tho

Caffeine is not a controlled substance, and as such, there are no regulations or restrictions on who it can and cannot be sold to. So no, there's nothing illegal about a kid buying an energy drink.
A lot of shops choose to not sell it to children for ethical reasons. Which is probably a good thing.

From my understanding, companies that sell canned pre workout drinks that put other ingredients in like beta-alanine are only able to put in smallish doses because it's hard to suspend high amounts of other ingredients into a canned drink without it then settling at the bottom or becoming grainy and gross, which then makes the efficacy of the doses basically negligible. Although the convenience and taste of canned pre workout drinks probably makes them suitable for those who aren't needing all the extra stuff and just want an energy kick.

Then wondered why my sleep was fcked, my bowels were in pieces and I was stressed and anxious and even developed a severe facial twitch. I don’t drink caffeine at all anymore. I hate how people have painted caffeine as some innocent substance. There are people, like me, too sensitive to caffeine. To anyone who reads this: always test how you react to a substance before really going into it. Once I took the actual full dose of a pre-workout and I had a terrible workout and an even worse evening after. The whole evening was ruined with me just laying down thinking if I'm gonna die, maybe I should've stayed active, I dunno. Now I use no-stim pre workouts.
Regardless the best pre-workout you can give yourself is proper sleep.

Sodiumchloride and Glucose do the trick, two super cheap ingredients. That is the actual legit rehydration formular, since it is not based on osmolytic function, but actual colon bridge mechanism of NaCl-Glucose-H2O that even works if you suffer from diarrhea. Osmolytic rehydration is 1. inferior to the bridge biomechanism and second less reliable.

Just a side note, there are probably other differences between where these are distributed. Monster Energy in the standard 16oz can here in the US is 160mg. I think quite a few others with this same size can are usually within 160mg as well. Usually if a brand is selling with more caffeine (such as the smaller Red Bull cans and equivalent competitors) they sell it as a separate product.

Have you done or would you do a video on powder energy drinks like Gfuel? I drink them as an alternative to Red Bull and Monster as they don't make me feel like shit an hour later. I'm also not a big fan of coffee. Though I do drink a lot of the stuff even when I'm not exercising.

I know you'll probably not see this but if you do, please help cuz they came back with a counter argument to your meal replacement video, for everything you put forward.

I've always wondered if there is a big difference between drinking energy drinks vs taking a pre workout. I've decided to stop drinking energy drinks permanently (haven't had one since December 2022) however I still take a pre-workout (1 scoop) on days that I need the extra energy for gym. Am i bullshitting myself? or am i making a difference health wise.

Atrial fibrillation (AFib) is an irregular and often very rapid heart rhythm. An irregular heart rhythm is called an arrhythmia. AFib can lead to blood clots in the heart. The condition also increases the risk of stroke, heart failure and other heart-related complications.
During atrial fibrillation, the heart's upper chambers - called the atria - beat chaotically and irregularly. They beat out of sync with the lower heart chambers, called the ventricles. For many people, AFib may have no symptoms. But AFib may cause a fast, pounding heartbeat, shortness of breath or light-headedness.
Episodes of atrial fibrillation may come and go, or they may be persistent. AFib itself usually isn't life-threatening. But it's a serious medical condition that needs proper treatment to prevent stroke.
Treatment for atrial fibrillation may include medicines, therapy to shock the heart back to a regular rhythm and procedures to block faulty heart signals.
A person with atrial fibrillation also may have a related heart rhythm problem called atrial flutter. The treatments for AFib and atrial flutter are similar.

    Symptoms
    Symptoms of AFib may include:
Feelings of a fast, fluttering or pounding heartbeat, called palpitations.
    Chest pain.
    Dizziness.
    Fatigue.
    Lightheadedness.
    Reduced ability to exercise.
    Shortness of breath.
    Weakness.
Some people with atrial fibrillation (AFib) don't notice any symptoms.
    Atrial fibrillation may be:
Occasional, also called paroxysmal atrial fibrillation. AFib symptoms come and go. The symptoms usually last for a few minutes to hours. Some people have symptoms for as long as a week. The episodes can happen repeatedly. Symptoms might go away on their own. Some people with occasional AFib need treatment.
Persistent. The irregular heartbeat is constant. The heart rhythm does not reset on its own. If symptoms occur, medical treatment is needed to correct the heart rhythm.
Long-standing persistent. This type of AFib is constant and lasts longer than 12 months. Medicines or a procedure are needed to correct the irregular heartbeat.
Permanent. In this type of atrial fibrillation, the irregular heart rhythm can't be reset. Medicines are needed to control the heart rate and to prevent blood clots.
