Danielle, I had to stop this video for a minute to let you know that of all the garden channels I watch, your garden is probably my favorite. Why? I think it’s more than a lovely garden. it’s more than “just” beautiful plants and shrubs. What’s missing from some TH-cam gardens is what yours has in abundance. Heart. I can feel myself walking with you every Saturday. Thank you. ❤
Danielle, I'm a 73 yr old man, life long Gardner , taught by my grandma and grandfather. My grandmother taught me about flowers and my grandfather being a carpenter for the railroad for 40 yrs , laid out his vegetable gardens to the square inch. To understand their differences my grandma always said" she found flowers can grow in a crooked row, 😊. Wanted you to know how much I enjoy your channel and your remembrances, and heirlooms.
Danielle, good on you for cardboard mulching the area to the right of your library. It actually widens your view point and as well as removing extra lawn, it just looks so natural. I think what you are doing by reducing the maintenance and planning things out, for your large garden rooms is an excellent plan. As we age, we need to make everything more enjoyable and less of a chore, don't you think? I've never seen your gardens so beautiful and restful at the moment. You've done so well!😊jo.
In life we talk about soul and that is what I think is in abundance in your garden. That is what sets your garden apart from others and invites us to return again and again to witness and absorb that soul. Perhaps it is grace. Or respect for the past and the people who have influenced and loved you. But whatever name you attach to it, it is special, breath taking, meaningful and a moment in time where for that moment, time stands still and we find ourselves communing with all of the beauty around us.
Your home went from “Handyman’s Special” to “A Gardener’s Dream”! A garden tour given by your husband with the names he gives the flowers would be hilarious! Happy Mother’s Day Danielle and to all the other Mothers in this community. ❤
LOL...when you described your "gardening outfit". Love it! I would hang wash in my pj's. Early morning time was "the best". One with the morning sounds. NIRVANA! Thank you for a delightful tour. BEAUTIFUL as always.
I love these walk abouts. I don't care if you do them in your pj's! Thanks for sharing your beautiful gardens and your book recommendations. Happy Mother's Day! 💐
So far this garden tour has been my favourite look. The abundance of tulips were gorgeous but the blues, whites and the yellow/golden colours are my favourite colour combos and I find this snapshot very soothing.
The design and plant combination are beautiful. Alliums and irises are gorgeous!!!The book chat at the end is icing on the cake. Love it. TY so much for the tour, the therapy, and inspirations.
Your garden is so beautiful and magical! I keep expecting to see fairies or pixies jump out from under a flower cluster! The library and all your arbors just add so much to the garden. You are very lucky to live there! Thanks for sharing!🧚🌸🧚♀️💐🧚♂️
Your garden looks more wonderful with every passing year ! All of your “edits” Have really paid off! I most definitely think you axe all The late Tulips, it’s not worth the effort and expense for such a short show and early tulips are so much more satisfying!
I love these videos…so beautiful, relaxing and inspiring! A perfect watch to start the day! The view at the beginning today looks like a Thomas Kincaid painting! Fills my soul. 💕💕💕 PS laughing at the picture you painted at the end! If I didn’t have neighbors, that’s how I would want to garden but with a ponytail instead of 2 curler! 👌😂👍
Hi Danielle, that was such a peaceful relaxing walk through your garden. Thanks for the tour and book recommendations. Im glad Rockie is doing better. Tell Grace we missed her 😍
After so many years of hard work, your garden is so beautiful 😻 I love that you don’t use chemical fertilizer :) I learned so much from you. Thank you!
Oh my goodness, Danielle, I am always so inspired by your garden!! So many things you do I want to try too!! and PLEASE have your husband do a garden tour haha before you even said that I was wishing my husband would watch your garden tour with me but I think your husband telling his names would be the ticket! My husband was cracking up when I told him your husband calls them "ding-dong bells" haha and thank you for the book recs! Im so excited to check them out!! Oh and I agree about stopping at mid-late tulips for here in the Lehigh Valley, PA area too, my late ones just didn't have enough time to shine this year...the mid-late ones under my maple tree were the sweet spot for late color and lifespan (Hakuun did the best this year!)
I am so loving your garden tours dear Danielle as your videos are always not only beautiful but also informative. I am amazed at how you guys in the USA are jumping straight from Spring into Summer with plants that we wouldn't expect to see blooming in our London gardens until mid June. I do understand your frustration at only enjoying late flowering Tulips for just a few days and you may consider an alternative for next Spring. I love that your pretty flower bouquets are selling like croissants in a Parisian boulangerie 😃💚
I got aphids for the first time last year on my snowball viburnums that were about 5 years old. Living in Montana though they don't bloom until June, and I think the aphids came afterward. Last year I had aphids on the viburnums and plum for the first time. Love your garden walks - incredible amount of work you put into your gardens.
Oh my - I'd never seen black aphids before this year - all three of my Rose of Sharon's were peppered - then I'll be dealing with the scentless plant bugs that love Hibiscus later in the season - I cut the stems off way back and will sacrifice blooms until much later but I love them so much I can't get rid of them. Your gardens are stunning Danielle and we look forward to seeing all the beauty every season♥
Oh Danielle i Love everything about your gardens. I can't get enough of them. Your flowers are Absolutely Breathtaking. I Love your Library and that is so nice it is included in your gardens. You did and outstanding job on your Gardens. Thank you for letting us visit you for awhile and I enjoyed every minute of it So until next time God Bless you and your family and have a Blessed evening and stay safe my dear and Special Friend. ❤❤❤
I love the alliums, the tulips in the gardens boxes, and stepping stone path to the arch trellis and just everything else. You have an absolutely stunning garden design!
Your garden looks so lovely right now. It was such a nice way to start the weekend! Question: could you please show your snowball viburnum in a future video? I'm in love with them and would find your thoughts on the shrub very helpful.
The light on the flower walk foliage the first walk through...never enjoyed foliage so much! The late day light highlighting the colors, texture, and heights made it quite special. Very inviting, interesting, and soothing. 😍Oh, and the flowers were lovely too. 😊
I’m on Long Island and it looks like our plants are in the same schedule. Alliums in bloom, peony buds showing color. Cool!! I’m dividing all my nepeta. Salvia is in bud. Roses are in bud. Irises just started opening. I can’t even!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I think your driveway garden is beautiful. Your color palette is so vibrant. I’m envious of your pristine iris leaves, I’m battling slugs and snails on mine. You forgot your coffee on your pj and roller garden stroll, gotta stay caffeinated!
Your story about the "handyman special farmette" is interesting and makes me wonder why the previous owner would have done that to the electrical. It is amazing that you don't need any additional irrigation in your garden because of all the rain you all receive. I live in the south, and I don't use drip irrigation, but at times we have to use a tripod sprinkler to keep things from drying out in the flower and vegetable gardens. May is one of my favorite times in my garden too. Also, I have the same wall sconces that you have, but mine are in my den! Your tour is so lovely!
Oh my gosh those crimsom tulips are gorgeous too forgot about this garden area. Pretty surprise yellow tulips! Thank you Danielle and we love just the way you are !!!
I have purple irises throughout my flower garden that I have split several times. Since I’ve don’t that, they are now white and no longer the deep purple that I had originally bought. I’m ok with it as this year there was a large outburst of blooms from them and it looked gorgeous. Hope this helps on possibly solving your white iris. Hugs and love from Texas!
Danielle your story about your husband giving your flowers his own names is so funny cause my hubby does the same😅…beautiful tour and I love hearing your thoughts and plans…as you share your journey…
Thank you for this lovely stroll. I’ve had some stressful weeks building up to an exam today… this walk was a great end to my day, and really turns my attention to get back out in my own garden! Thank you & Happy Mother’s Day 🌺🌸
I laughed outlaid both times you said that your husband called Foxglove "ding dong bells". Also I bought tulip bulbs at a discount store that have bloomed a beautiful single purple for 4 weeks and still look good tonight. Thank you for teaching me what not to grow.. Love your channel.
Danielle I love, love your garden and look forward to your tours. I wish your channel had been around 30 years ago when I was designing my garden. ( I have 3/4 of an acre in central Illinois) I made so many mistakes😩 I believe your white iris might be “Immortality” If so, she is a re-bloomer. I have some of those purple, smells like grape soda iris in my garden. They were a gift from a friend’s garden. I love the late double purple and red tulips together. Even damaged they are lovely. I eagerly await your next garden tour. It’s so much fun to see how your lovely garden has progressed….and what is in bloom now in each tour. Thank you! Happy Mothers Day!
I am so loving these walk and talk tours Danielle. Your garden is stunning! I like that you share the process of evolving your garden to suite your taste, and your preferences regarding doing less of what you don't like (lawn care) and more of what you do like. I am doing the same. I so appreciate all the information you share... spotted lantern fly host plants, what your taking out, what you wish you'd done differently, etc. Those surprise yellow flowers in the front garden bed are BEAUTIFUL!!! What a sweet surprise gift.
Thanks so much for sharing your garden, your work is so inspirational! My dog Nyx was a little disappointed grace could not join, 😂 she loves playing with grace on the tv.
Love seeing the long shots to show the full layout and view of the garden and property. Just to get a better sense of the garden design. Will you take the books in the library inside the house during winter? Also how is moisture in the library since you get so much rain?
If you get your irises from Schreiner’s, maybe they gave you a free white one. I had an orange bearded iris appear in my garden last year, and I was scratching my head for awhile until I realized it was a free extra one.
I have some grape soda scented iris, they actually remind me of a cough syrup I used to be given as a kid… and I have another variety that smells like toothpaste!!
I love these weekly garden tours, so tranquil & to know what blooms when. I'm in the midst of transforming my antique rose garden to mostly perennials & your tip about repetition is extremely timely. I was wondering if combining the 4 raised beds immediately in front of your garden shed, to 2 large beds (allowing for a wider central path,) would solve your problem of matching the path width of the front 2. You'd end up with 2 wider raised beds, but would save a lot of time, energy & materials. Just a thought...
So many lovely comments this morning, I can’t imagine anything I could add other than to say, the picture in my head as you described your early morning walk in jammies, boots, curlers and sunglasses had me laughing out loud. I wish I was an artist because I would draw a caricature of that! Virtual hugs from KY. 🌿🌷🌸🌱🌺🌼 Oh, one more thing, your Totally Tangerine geum look fabulous. Wish I could find some around here; the nurseries and garden centers don’t carry them. 😕
Hi Danielle, Your garden is is beautiful! You have a wonderful talent for arranging the plants you choose. I was in shock that you don’t have a drip system. In my zone9b having irrigation is extremely helpful. Pretty walk!
My husband’s favorite flower is every German bearded iris he comes across. They do have such unique scents. PS That Tree of Heaven seedling looks an awful lot like the walnut seedlings we have everywhere…but of course you’d know by the smell of the stem and the big, attached nut/seed. I’m glad we don’t have the other in my area that I know of.
Your garden exemplifies the benefits of using swaths of same colors and/or plants. So restful. That touch of orange geum among the purple hues is breathtaking. I have just one 'Tempo Rose' geum, but plan to get a couple more to go around my Chinese viburnum (which is only a year in the ground so I can't speak to aphids, but its just at that chartreuse color stage I love). Surprise tulips. I had some make an appearance after many years absence. I might have planted them 15 years ago and they eventually stopped appearing. Maybe they needed a break. If that's true (I hope so) then in about ten years I'll be rewarded with an explosion of color. This year, the strip I thickly planted "shoulder to shoulder" about 3 years ago only produced about 4 blooms. Meanwhile, the white daffodils just keep naturalizing into thick patches and I love them. Last night, I picked up a 'Charles Joly' lilac that I'll plant today (it's treasured for its pleasantly strong fragrance) and maybe a BR rose. I prefer lilac scent over bloom vase life. 👃🏼 Smmh! 👃🏼
As always Danielle your gardens are beautiful. ❤I think I’m going to add more gladiator alliums this fall as I noticed they are more reliable on coming back year after year 😊
Danielle, I had to stop this video for a minute to let you know that of all the garden channels I watch, your garden is probably my favorite. Why? I agree❤️
I totally agree.
I also agree ❤🍃
I agree ❤. I feel like I’m on life’s journey with you and your garden. Thank you for sharing your garden, kindness and love with us.
And you don't wear us out!

Please have your hubby do a tour when the foxglove are blooming! We love a good laugh. Your garden and channel are awesome so inspiring
That white iris may be immortality, mine is blooming, and I’m in south jersey (same zone)
Yes, that's what I was going to say, "immortality." It is a beautiful iris in my white or moon garden.
LOL...when you described your "gardening outfit". Love it! I would hang wash in my pj's. Early morning time was "the best". One with the morning sounds. NIRVANA! Thank you for a delightful tour. BEAUTIFUL as always.
Happy Mother’s Day, Danielle!❤
Greetings from Ireland, Beautiful and stunning garden, Its the bees knees.
As I’ve said before “Always a pleasure to watch Danielle.”
Danielle, your grandma is smiling upon you from heaven. Your garden is just breathtaking. I'm so glad I found your channel. Have a Happy Mother's Day!
I love these walk abouts. I don't care if you do them in your pj's! Thanks for sharing your beautiful gardens and your book recommendations. Happy Mother's Day! 💐

Love the way your now black garage recedes into the background. It really lets the plants take center stage.
Danielle, I “accidentally” left some Ranunculus in the ground here in 6B and they’re about to BLOOM! What a happy surprise this spring!
Your garden looks more wonderful with every passing year ! All of your “edits”
Have really paid off! I most definitely think you axe all
The late

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY Danielle and to all the TH-cam garden community 💐 I HOPE EVERYONE HAS A BEAUTIFUL BLESSED DAY 😍
Hi Danielle, that was such a peaceful relaxing walk through your garden. Thanks for the tour and book recommendations. Im glad Rockie is doing better. Tell Grace we missed her 😍
Beautiful Danielle 🥰 so pretty and peaceful 🥰 so nice to see Rocky is doing really well x
Happy Mother’s Everyone 💐
Happy Mother’s Day! I am loving these garden walk tours and book suggestion videos . So much helpful information. Thank you.
I love the bright tulips around the bird bath. It's very romantic. Gives me the same vibe as roses climbing over doors and arch ways.
After so many years of hard work, your garden is so beautiful 😻 I love that you don’t use chemical fertilizer :) I learned so much from you. Thank you!

Like how the borders are filling in English garden style fashion
I have enjoyed your garden so much .First time to see your video.❤
Wow that main flower walk is so purple….my moms favorite🥰 She’d be in heaven!
Lol. My preferred morning garden attire is also boots and pajamas. Thank you again for the beautiful peaceful tour of your garden.
If the white bearded iris reblooms in fall it could be Immortality
I though the same, but I don;t think Immortality has a yellow beard like these. Immortality is a pure white "self."
The garden is looking beautiful! Oh no, poor Rocky! Keep getting better little guy. Thank you for sharing your garden Danielle and Happy Mother's Day!
Beautiful, absolutely stunning garden 👌🥰

Such a beautiful peaceful garden!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Maybe it's an immortality iris? Mine has a beautiful smell and it's an extra tall variety.
WOW what an amazing garden . Reminds me of my Nan & Grandads garden ☺️
I loved the totally tangerine geum when I first saw it at a garden center. Color stopped me in my tracks. Love how you used it in your garden.
Danielle, your whole property is a little slice of heaven !! You sure have a green thumb. Those purple tulips are so beautiful !! Happy Mothers Day !!
My jaw dropped when you said you didn’t even own a hose until last year. Hi from Alberta.
The light on the flower walk foliage the first walk through...never enjoyed foliage so much! The late day light highlighting the colors, texture, and heights made it quite special. Very inviting, interesting, and soothing. 😍Oh, and the flowers were lovely too. 😊
Your "surprise bed " is going to be beautiful! I can't wait to see it!
Danielle, your garden is just magical ❤❤❤ thank you for sharing it with us

Good morning! I’m an ex- Long Islander! Family is still there 😊
Absolutely stunning!!! Very inspirational. Thank you.
I think your driveway garden is beautiful. Your color palette is so vibrant. I’m envious of your pristine iris leaves, I’m battling slugs and snails on mine. You forgot your coffee on your pj and roller garden stroll, gotta stay caffeinated!
Hi Danielle, Beautiful gardens!!! You really have green thumbs. Cheers, Albert from SF, CA
Your gardens truly show a labor of love.
I have the problem of my little garden becoming a bit of a jungle too. Right now mine is a Sweet Pea jungle💗💜❤️
You garden is so beautiful 😍
Your story about the "handyman special farmette" is interesting and makes me wonder why the previous owner would have done that to the electrical. It is amazing that you don't need any additional irrigation in your garden because of all the rain you all receive. I live in the south, and I don't use drip irrigation, but at times we have to use a tripod sprinkler to keep things from drying out in the flower and vegetable gardens. the white german iris, could be immortality variety
Danielle your story about your husband giving your flowers his own names is so funny cause my hubby does the same😅…beautiful tour and I love hearing your thoughts and plans…as you share your journey…
As always, it was great to see your garden. I learned a lot!!! Please, let's have the 'realistic' garden tour 😘
Immortality ia white variety of iris.
Such beauty! You keep raising the bar.💖
Thank you for this lovely stroll. I’ve had some stressful weeks building up to an exam today… this walk was a great end to my day, and really turns my attention to get back out in my own garden! Thank you & Happy Mother’s Day 🌺🌸
What a pleasure! Love your garden design 💞
Every time you peel back another layer of the previous owner, my jaw hits the floor!
Your garden is absolutely beautiful!!!!
Thanks for the beautiful tour. Your garden just keeps getting better!!
My favorite garden Chanel. So informative, beautiful, and relaxing.
So peaceful 🙏🏻
Thanks for sharing your garden🌻 always adds inspiration for me, thanks.
I love, love, love your library, and book chat. So original. Thank you.
I love your walkabouts. Thank you for sharing your beautiful garden.
I’m with you trying for more repetition in my garden this year. Nice tour 😊
Thanks so much for sharing your garden, your work is so inspirational! My dog Nyx was a little disappointed grace could not join, 😂 she loves playing with grace on the tv.
What a beautiful opening shot in the video!
Happy Mother’s Day!! 🌺
Your garden always looks so beautiful no matter what mine of year it is!
Love seeing the long shots to show the full layout and view of the garden and property. Just to get a better sense of the garden design. Will you take the books in the library inside the house during winter? Also how is moisture in the library since you get so much rain?

Lovely flowers. Maybe u could give a shade cover the tulips for a while.

I have some grape soda scented iris, they actually remind me of a cough syrup I used to be given as a kid… and I have another variety that smells like toothpaste!!

Hi Danielle, Your garden is is beautiful! You have a wonderful talent for arranging the plants you choose. I was in shock that you don’t have a drip system. In my zone9b having irrigation is extremely helpful. Pretty walk!

Haha PJs in the garden is a very common sight here too!
Love you so glad for another video!!
Love your husband's cute names for flowers. ❤
Love you so much ❤ Your videos just make me happy and give me peace ❤😂
Beautiful garden..I think your tulips are georgous. I dint know if I could remove them while they are so pretty.
Your garden exemplifies the benefits of using swaths of same colors and/or plants. So restful. That touch of orange geum among the purple hues is breathtaking.
