The white ones make me feel like a child looking at giant dandelion flowers. Allium flowers just feel fun when you have a lot like you do and look like they are from a fantasy book and you are in a fantasy garden. Love them!
🏡. Hello Marta , You have certainly inspired me ! My garden is in a state of failure . I just planted a few diff. Alliums from a nursery in full sun. How do you get such a perfect border of a shade plant Brennera in your sunny garden location ? It looked like pulmonaria ( lungwsrt) or coral bells witch from a distance (on my phone ) was beautiful lush green textures , shapes and the variety is so impressive . I can't wait to see more ! Best of Blessingsto you ! It's given me hope ❤. . .
I'm american, my first time here and must say that you are more articulate than most american gardeners. Your gardens are stunning and your descriptions are very thorough and helpful as I am just exploring alliums for the first time. Expensive to buy I don't want to make too many mistakes. Subscribing!
You have my dream garden! Lots of pink, purple, blue, and different shades of green! I love happy and cute styles. I’m in Ontario Canada and started my garden last year. I only had a tiny patch of part-shade to work with (1.5m squares). I planted a rhododendron this year that is working out so far, not good enough for my clemantis but last years lady’s mantle, columbine, and bleeding hearts (pink and white) came back this spring. I already had allium bulbs on my to-do list! Glad to have another learning source - your channel🎉☺️
I stumbled upon your video bcz I decided for the first time to plant allium bulbs in my garden. I’m very excited. I always wanted them but never got to doing it. Btw your garden looks amazing. Love how you blend so many plants close together making it look like a prairie. ❤
Hi Marta! Jan here, from California. Just found your channel and am in love with it. What magnificent gardens you have! I would love to add alliums to my garden, and found your video to be full of great advice. I will definitely watch it again in the fall when it’s time to plant allium bulbs. Thank you so much for this wonderful video, and I look forward to watching the others you have created.
Very beautiful alliums growing beautifully with amazing companion plants. I have Salvia & brunnera in my garden. I will try and combine them with my allium plants this year. I hope to plant my alliums next week. I always plant my alliums late in late November or early December.
Dear Marta, I can't believe my eyes 🤩 You have planted the garden of my dreams. A combination of cool colors violets blue and white. Do you leave the bulbs in the ground ❓ Do they get summer rains ❓ How many days per year do you get the ground to freeze ❓ I'm going to try growing Allium caeruleum this season Marta, do you have experience with them❓ I live in a warm climate zone without freeze. So i planted them in little pots and put them in the refrigerator ( planted in potting mix) for 2 months. I'd love to hear what you think. Mm
Hello Marta! I'm so happy I looked up Allium companions, your garden is beautiful and you are a great presenter. Excellent information and you are a pleasure to watch. I appreciate the advice so much about the different varieties and timing them to bloom with other plants, plant combinations are one of the most fun things in the garden. Thank you!
🏡 Hello again, The "Serendipity" and "Windy City" alliums I planted last fall were handed to me by an older person, like myself saying " You won't regret this" . I haven't ❤. In just three seasons these 2 grassy specimens exploded into 3 and are blooming the most gorgeous blue and purple " lollipops " and the plants are bigger than expected + ONE ! I planted 3 "Crazy Blue" sage which has finally bloomed bluejeans blue and staked . It's taller and accents behind the Allium so gracefully . I can't wait for them to spread ! I finally have compost to work through my soil ore thoroughly . I've learned to : " Listen to my garden" not other people . I have lost so much. Now I grow with intention and peace and Enjoy my little Full Sun Cottage Garden that leads out to a Part Sun - Shade future Hosta bed at the end . I have the Hostas ready to go & grow ! Thank you for such a personal caring touch, sharing your knowledge , and encouraging us to: Plan our gardens with those perennials we love . Using the tried & true plants that prance upon us with their shining time and leave behind us their gorgeous textures ,shades of colors in their foliage. Acknowledging how some leaves remain behind for continuous beauty in our gardens , but , others are purposely placed to cover the leaves that must die back ,regenerate for next season's surprise. I enjoy your genuine love for your garden and ours . Thank you Garta ❤
Theyre gorgeous..i started collecting allium 2 years ago and now im obssessed.any allium i see in store.mostly gladiator ajd purple sensations..❤❤you have a girgeous show
Your gardens are beautiful! I am planting 300 allium bulbs this fall and I will mix all of them, whites, pinks and purple with fall blooming serum. I also love your separation of colors!
love it all, and very helpful, for my garden ideas and flowers here in Eastern Washington State happen to match your already established garden landscape. I have more confidence now, and thank you, Marta.
I just love your garden. I don't have any alliums yet, I was unsure where to put them in my garden but you helped me a lot, So now I have better ideas. Thank you!
Out buying some white alliums now😆😆😆 Marta, could you please make a video of how your Constance Spry looks when at bloom? From starting only a few to its peak, then to die down? To those like me, who’s pondering on put her in front of our houses, it is a big decision. It is so beautiful but also such a large rose to manage. Would like to see and hear more about your options about Constance Spry! Thanks!!!!! Your garden is a dream!!!
Hi Marta. As I am in a newer garden and I just had decided to add them for next year. I loved your idea about getting a mix and I will look for that. Things are blooming later here also. I we had a cooler than normal Spring. I am a U.S. A. Zone 7b. Happy gardening!
You have one of the most beautiful gardens I have ever seen. I garden in a zone 5b/6 in Ontario, Canada and love watching your videos. I just came across you channel recently and look forward to your new videos.
Oh my what a beautiful garden. Thank you so much for sharing and inspiring. I planted alliums bulbs this year for the first time so I’m taking notes. Please share what kind of catmint that is, it looks beautiful! I have catmint but looks nothing like yours so I must know this variety pls! Also what’s the name of that beautiful iris? Goes really well with the alliums! Looking forward to your response so I can get my hands on these seeds now!
Your garden is fantastic!! I love alliums too, am enjoying the purple ones. I planted a few white ones and I’m going to get more of them! Globemaster are probably my favorites. I also planted a few of schubertii and christophii because of their unique look! But your combination with perennials is gorgeous! Well done!!
Hi Marta, I just saw your video for the first time and decided to subscribe. I love your Aliums and all the other beautiful companions that you planted with them. I am a new gardener just moved in to our new home. I wanted to grow similar flowers that you have but I am not sure I can. I live in Southern California zone 10, can you please tell be where you live and what USA sone you're in, to see if I have a chance growing those flowers. Thanks
Your garden is just such a delight to see. I came across your channel when searching for alliums. I got my first allium bulbs this week and wanted to watch a few videos before planting them. Love the combinations you have. I understand yours are quite old and hence you have a more dense look I suppose? Does each bulb give one bloom only? I have 12 gladiator bulbs and not sure how many to plant together to get a nice visual impact. There are 20 purple sensations as well so I think those I can cluster a little more? Anyway -- your garden is just so beautiful and mature :). Every new gardener's dream!
You've convinced me to get alliums. I really appreciate your way of explaining. I feel like I went to a class. Furthermore, your garden is absolutely lovely. Thank you for sharing. Just subscribed.
🏡. Marta , Can you share the ZONE You live in ? It would help so much . Do you use drip irrigation ? I have not . My garden is small as is the budget .I watch it closely. ! Thank you . Like you , it's all just so BEAUTIFUL 💞

Have you planted gladiator alliums? Any advice on those? I am so inspired by your garden which is heavenly! I think I will try and embark on an allium experience this year because of what I have learned from you. Thank you!
Beautiful combinations. I love the alliums with irises and the association with brunneras. My favorite alliums are globemaster and drumstick and in my garden they are in a border with lupines and pink roses or associated with a salmon rose and pink gauras. My alliums bloom very well In semi shade, so I love mixing them with brunneras. I have a lot of semi shade in the garden(vide our birch trees) so over the years I’ve been testing a lot of plants in those condtions. A lot of them surprised me!
Thank you for your answer. I may try it in semi shade next year! Both plants are among my favorites. On another subject, I also like your borders with river rocks, I have a stream in my garden and have tried using the rocks as you do but yours are way nicer!
Martha, I just found your channel and subscribed. I love alliums and enjoyed your presentation. What gardening zone are you? I am in the US in zone 5. I enjoyed your combination of perennials with the alliums. Beautiful garden. How about a tour?
Allium drumstick is currently my favourite. I don’t like purple sensation. Too floppy for me. I planted many different varieties this year so curious to see them bloom.
Hi Marta, your garden is gorgeaus and I love your videos! Thank you for sharing your experience about alliums, I am now convinced to try planting them this autumn! About the lovely april night salvia, I cannot find it here in Italy or anywhere in Europe, did you find the plants at your garden center?🐞
I live in Maine and my Globe masters are coming up all leaves and buds and I need to transplant them to a new garden area. Can I move them now and will they bloom if I move them now?
Not the best idea, it is possible they will wilt. I had some success but also I am sure they hate being transplanted in this moment. Best to wait until flowers are spent and they into dormant season. Summer and autumn would be a great moment for their move.
Hi, beautiful garden! Can I ask which euphorbia that is at around 9 minutes 10 seconds? Is it easily contained or does it run around or your borders via rhizomes and need a lot of work?
Hello, I am especially interested in companion plants. I got the catmint and lupine comment, but after that you mention two others and you spoke so fast that I cannot understand what they are. Can you please let us know? thank you!
Marta. I’m do not see -“ White colore - Allium “?? I’m was lucky Last November and buy my white colore -“Alyssum”!! 2 already in the land. And 2. In the ports. Zlata. Florida
Is it typical for Beau Regard allium to get smaller blooms in successive years? I had ENORMOUS beautiful blooms, the first year, then...smaller the next year. They have grown and flowered well every year, I have dug them up once too, big bulbs were smaller too. Ideas anyone?
Never see salvia -“ UPPER NITGH. “. If I’m understood write. In Florida we have 3-4 salvias. I’m see in the store and I’m buy ., but never see what you Marta. Has in you garden. Zlata Florida
Can you do your top 10 perennials and shrubs?
The white ones make me feel like a child looking at giant dandelion flowers. Allium flowers just feel fun when you have a lot like you do and look like they are from a fantasy book and you are in a fantasy garden. Love them!
So true!

The only alliums I have are the small "Serendipity." They stand in front of artemisia Powis Castle. The purple and grey leaves is very nice.

You have beautiful colorful flowers. This is my first year with alliums which I bought from Costco-the stalks are all bent and not upright-what did I do wrong? Please help
Maybe they weren't planted deep enough or not enough sun.
Have you planted gladiator alliums? Any advice on those? I am so inspired by your garden which is heavenly! I think I will try and embark on an allium experience this year because of what I have learned from you. Thank you!
Beautiful combinations. I love the alliums with irises and the association with brunneras. I love it but was rather surprised because i'd never have thought about it: I think alliums need sun and free-draining soil whereas brunneras like shade. My favorite alliums are globemaster and drumstick and in my garden they are in a border with lupines and pink roses or associated with a salmon rose and pink gauras. I also really loved when you showed your climbing roses (in another video) and your lupines. It is not often that I find a garden that I like so much❤. Greetings from the Alps
How do you grow Alliums and Hosta together when one is a shade plant and one is a sun plant?
Martha, I just found your channel and subscribed. I love alliums and enjoyed your presentation. What gardening zone are you? I am in the US in zone 5. I enjoyed your combination of perennials with the alliums. Beautiful garden. How about a tour?
We were always zone 6b, but last few winters seem more like 7a.
Allium drumstick is currently my favourite. I don’t like purple sensation. Too floppy for me. I planted many different varieties this year so curious to see them bloom.
Hi Marta, what’s the names of your Iris plants? They are gorgeous!❤️
I don’t know the names, bought them as blue ones in the garden center.
Hello. I have just your channel. Amazing.
Can you tell me which of your white alliums are the tallest?
Thank you
Mount Everest I think.
Do you know the name of the blue and white iris you have? Thank you
LOVE your garden. What zone and country are you from
Our garden is located in Poland near Warsaw, zone 6b(but likely to be 7a soon)
Hi can we plant in alllium in seeds? thank you
Hi Marta, your garden is gorgeaus and I love your videos! Thank you for sharing your experience about alliums, I am now convinced to try planting them this autumn! About the lovely april night salvia, I cannot find it here in Italy or anywhere in Europe, did you find the plants at your garden center?🐞
I bought it at zielonyexpert.pl You’d have to ask if they send to other eu countries
I live in Maine and my Globe masters are coming up all leaves and buds and I need to transplant them to a new garden area. Can I move them now and will they bloom if I move them now?

Hi, beautiful garden! Can I ask which euphorbia that is at around 9 minutes 10 seconds? Is it easily contained or does it run around or your borders via rhizomes and need a lot of work?
Euphorbia cyparissias, the cypress spurge - it spreads if I don’t stop it, so some weeding is necessary.
💚💚💚
Hello, I am especially interested in companion plants. I got the catmint and lupine comment, but after that you mention two others and you spoke so fast that I cannot understand what they are. Can you please let us know? thank you!
Plants that have a yellow tone are lacking in IRON you can get an Iron tone feed to give all plants and trees
Can we plant Allium in container?

It does happen too to my globemasters. Dividing them and planting separately should help with bigger blooms.
@@GardenwithMarta thankyou!
What the name of your allium so pretty.Judy
What is the name of the tall white plant mixed in with the white alliums?
