    Even though I lived in oregon when I was younger I never went crabbing. And I don't know why because I love to eat crab. I like your boat also.

    • @mystylebaits

      Shoot! You should come out and hop on the boat with Earl or I! I love crabbing but I’m not a fan of eating it. 🫣

    Youi guys are lucky, lucky to be near the water. Our state is landlock so we have to buy them at $20.00 + each which is so expensive!

    • @mystylebaits
      @mystylebaits  ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow! That sounds terrible. You’ll have to come out. Planning to set up a crab and cook in the future. It would be cool for you to come out and get some crab! Plane ticket might be more than buying the crab there though.

      Those of us in the PNW are so blessed to have easy access to Dungeness Crab. I like it better than Lobster and you'll never be satisfied with Rock Crab again.

      @@mystylebaits my Mom left Newport when I was about 18 and I lost access the the fleet of limit dories that we had out of Neptune's Wharf. Went a couple decades not fishing... Ugh. Picked it back up back around 2016. Got my kayak set up nowadays. Lotta surf perch. Jetty. 1000s of casts for steelhead and only nabbed one at Barton from the bank. I'll be getting a crab snare this week and plan on hitting Cape Meares. I'll probably launch in the Yaquina Bay too. As a town Newport has died IMHO. It sucks there compared to the way it used to be 20 years ago.
      BTW - what did you do with all that crab meat?

      When we lived in Alexandria, Virginia, our favorite "outing" was taking the train to Baltimore and having blue crabs in one of the seafood restaurants on the boardwalk! We'd watch the boats come in and offer their catches to the chefs. They bought them all!
