    You look great! Looks VERY natural! Your Dr did a great job. I would actually like to try filler sometime, BUT my husband is so against filler in general, I think he just thinks of the overdone faces we have all seen on occasion. I like how you did minimal, it really looks nice. xoxo

      My husband is like that with plastic surgery but he's okay with subtle procedures like injectables as long as it's restorative or preventative lol!

      Anne, if you really want to try it, you should let your husband know that there are many injectibles that are reversible should you not like it. Trust me, if they weren't, I'm not sure my husband would have ever given me his approval either. 😄 Thanks girl! And btw, you're beautiful without ever having had anything done!❤️

      @@talithaladucer Same! I definitely had to do a little convincing the first time, but once he saw how happy it made me, and he didn't think I looked very different, now he just lets me do it when I feel like I need a touch up. But he still always gives me a little pep talk about not going overboard. 😄😘

    Jenifer,
    I just found you and I loved your honesty🙌🏻I am almost 55 and I have been a holistic master esthetician for over thirty years. I don’t do anything invasive to my skin and I don’t even wear foundation or concealer and I have no real wrinkles or collagen loss. I teach beauty and aging naturally. I just did a video on a Japanese word “ Wabi Sabi” it means to embrace imperfection in life and your self and things, and to be grateful for age. Your honestly was refreshing so many of the channels do not admit all of the injectable they do.
    I look forward to more videos and seeing your perspective on beauty and aging.

    i just wanted to thank you for sharing these videos. I found you when I was searching about fillers. I had under eye bags that seemed to get mega bad suddenly (at 45) and endured three months of misery and low self esteem before I went in to get them done in Jan 2020. Your videos were so honest and helped me not feel alone. Thank you for talking about it- it was such an encouragement for me. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made.

    Hi Jennifer,
    He did a great job, you just look rested. I love your honesty about aging, I’m 54 years old, and I love all the wisdom I have acquired over the years, but I just don’t want my wisdom to show on my face...LOL! The fact that you and your husband can have honest conversations on how you both feel speaks volumes about your relationship. I hope you can take any negative feedback on the subject with a grain of salt...there are a lot of truly unhappy people in the world my friend. I say, “thank you,” and say a prayer for them. I truly feel bad for anyone who sets out to make me feel bad so that they can feel good. If that’s what it takes for those individuals to feel some sort of happiness, then by all means, criticize me, I love making people happy! Blessings, and may you always feel free to be you!

I've only had botox and watching your previous videos helped me achieve the look that I wanted. I am contemplating filler but not for another year or so. You give me confidence in telling the nurse exactly what I want so that I'm comfortable. Thank you so much!!

    Jenifer you look amazing..You always do..You mention that you were bruising when the aesthetician was doing your fillers, the reason is because just being an aesthetician with only 6 months of training, she did not know the anatomy of the facial muscles, arteries and veins, therefore she was injecting you without knowing which areas to avoid to prevent bruising.. In the other hand a doctor has a complete training of body anatomy.. Always stick to a doctor..In reference of fillers not lasting long time, it is due to some factors such as dehydration of body cells and degradation of lipids that are responsible to support skin protein fibers including hyaluronic acid and other skin components.. In my office we sell a unique facial cream to prevent facial filler degradation, therefore derma fillers will last longer in the skin layers...Your doctor did a very good job, very natural looking.. You look FANTASTIC..💃🥰💃💃

I want to try under the eyes because mine have always have been so hollow. Yours look great. I see other TH-camrs our age who honestly look ridiculous with the puff filler under the eyes. Way too much, it changes their entire face. You look beautiful and you chose a perfect amount!!

    She's very funny, I like her! That's amazing that you've never had bruises. I had filler one time about 4 years ago and was so deeply bruised, and after a month developed lumps. The nurse who had done the injections never told me there was a way to dissolve them even though I pointed out the issues...sigh. Also I saw photos of me from Christmas a few weeks after the filler and literally the cheeks looked so shiny where the filler was placed. You look awesome but I would say you are naturally blessed with great skin (it's friggin luminous girl, those hands and arms!) and natural beauty. Lucky you and now you have this awesome doctor taking care of you. YaY

    I've had some fillers a couple of years ago, which were subtle and made me look refreshed rather than filled and loved the improvement. I really need my tear troughs done again. However I saw a video on you tube by the lovely Dr Chan (Victorian Cosmetic Institute) where he shows MRI evidence that fillers do not necessarily dissolve but migrate instead! I am now fearful of having any further fillers as I have this scary vision of my face in ten years time full of strange lumps and bumps and looking like the Elephant Man!

I am getting dark circles under my eyes and can’t even cover them with concealer. Especially my right one. It’s so dark. Does juvederm help with that? I don’t have bags, per se, just deep hollowed dark circles. Because if that can help with that, I am going to seriously consider it. I always look worn out and tired and I really hate that because I’m not tired! Any advice? Also how bad does the injection hurt that close to your eye?

    I know this is an older vid, but it was really great to hear you share tips and your experience! I just love your own results, you honestly look so natural and youthful :) My personal fav has been cheek fillers! I have had amazing results, like a mini face lift for the midface :) I understand your forehead botox concerns. I get botox in my forehead and crows feet area, my forehead wrinkles were really severe for my age (36). The inner part of my eyelids did drop down just a little bit, creating a slight crease on my eyelid area, but it is small and it isn't a big deal for me personally. My brows, however, are still in a good position. If they were any higher up they would look very unnatural for me 😂 It all really depends on the individual and their facial structure, but your doctor is totally right about HOW you place the botox :)

I have never had filler or cosmetic botox but I have been getting botox for my migraines for about a year now for my migraines, and I'll have to say my neurologist rocks! He is this really quiet, stern man ..He walks right in the room up to me to get started and always starts with, well how are those eyebrows of yours doing? Staying lifted? Not, how is your head?! I bust out laughing every time because the first time he did it I told him I was paranoid about my eyebrows becoming droopier than they already were. I've got my Italian dads side big eyebrows that grow straight across with barely an arch that has always driven me crazy. It's been a joke now with my doctor because he has done a fantastic job of actually lifting my brows up, so he teases me now.. And that was a really long story sorry! Haha😀

    Great video Jenifer! I get Botox between my eyebrows and on the TOP part of my forehead and I love it. Your doctor is right about the Botox forehead placement! Putting it high up on the forehead won’t push down on your eyebrows. About 18 months ago I got under eye filler and it took a good month for all the swelling to go down! I was icing it everyday when the swelling started and I panicked thinking I ruined my face but after about 2 weeks the swelling got much better and 2 weeks after that even better. I can tell the filler has begun fading now. I’m not sure I would do it again because it was super expensive in Newport Beach and also it didn’t really address all of my needs....but I don’t regret it at all.

      Thank you for sharing that! I think I may try that...getting the botox placed high on my forehead.😊 I had the same experience the first time I got filler. It took almost a full month for everything to settle in, but once it did, I was running from mirror to mirror ecstactic that my bags were gone! 😄

      I initially got filler to address my undereye puffiness. They injected it up under the tear troughs, which are the grooves that sit right under the bags. It just basically leveled out the whole surface. It was amazing how my bags just seemed to disappear! 💋

    @JeniferJenkins I got eye trough and cheek filler. I am going to my 2nd flller appointment in two weeks and appointment is scheduled as filler and Botox. TBH, my filler looks good and I am in dire need of Botox. Being new to fillers, is the maintenance the same procedure every year or does the technician just fill where it is needed? I think the fillers held up from last year. I could use a “touch up” under my right eye area. Thank you!!! So much for this video, I have been searching for an answer to my questions and could not find anything close or even in the area of my questions until I found your site.

      Oh how exciting!! Just KNOW that the first week is a little bit of a mind trip, especially the very first time! Like I said, it might feel hard, it might feel lumpy, you might swell more on one side than the other, in certain lighting it might look like you have shelves under your skin, but by the end of 14 days, everything settles in, softens up and smooths out. Also, even if you like your results, it still takes some time to adjust to your new appearance...even if it's subtle. But it's really quite amazing how filler works. you look great! I have always heard it is dangerous to do fillers. What do you think? Is it pretty safe?
    "One of the rare risks of having filler injections performed is that the filler material itself can get into and block a blood vessel,” Joshua Zeichner, M.D., director of cosmetic and clinical research in dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, tells . “If that happens, the results can be devastating.” Here's what goes down: The blockage can prevent the delivery of oxygen and other nutrients, which could have major consequences. “If the skin is affected, scarring can develop. If the eyes are affected, it can result in blindness,” Zeichner adds.

    • @JeniferJenkinsBeauty
      @JeniferJenkinsBeauty  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have definitely read that before too. 😱 But I've also read on realself.com that blindness is EXTREMELY rare and that most of the cases documented tend to happen in Korea for some reason. Also, vascular occlusion that leads to skin death or blindness is more common when you're getting fat injected as opposed to hyaluronic filler. And apparently the most dangerous places to get filler injected is the forehead, between the eyebrows, and bridge of the nose. Those are the places typically associated with blindness. You would think it would be in the under eye area right? ❤️

    Hi Jennifer, I’m a new subscriber. I saw a couple of your videos over a a year ago, but I just had cheek filler done this past week and I was doing research before I went and found you again. I had Radiesse done. I bought a Groupon for $299! What a deal! The person who did it is a Nurse Practiioner and she is a perfectionist. I was so pleased with the results. I’m also 47. I started getting Botox on my forehead and crows feet 2 years ago. I got the opposite effect, where my eyebrows are raised a little and I love it. Maybe it does have to do with the technique as your doctor suggested. By the way, one side of my face needed more filler too. I wanted to even things out. Strangely, the side of my face I sleep on is the side that naturally looks more lifted. 🤷🏼‍♀️ You would think the opposite would be true.
    That evening when I got my filler, my cheeks felt hard too. I was a little swollen, nothing crazy, and tender as well. Tiny bit bruised but easily covered with makeup the next day. I only told one person, my niece. I sent her pics and she loved it. My family (mom, sister, other nieces) who I see all the time couldn’t tell. I didn’t say anything lol. I see my mom every single day and she didn’t notice. I was soooo glad, because like you, I want it to be extremely subtle. Yet for me, Insee a huge difference. I love it. It’s like I got my cheek bones back!!
    I’m going back to address my jowls in a couple of months. Perhaps just a little filler in the corners of my mouth were there is some hollowness. I’d rather do a little at a time and not be overdone.
    Your jowls seem to be pretty perfect. By the way, your husband is right with all he has said about women over doing it. And he is right that you are perfect as you are. I think what you’re doing is just maintaining that for as long as possible. My aim is also to maintain what I have for as long as I can. I’m a lot like you! You remind me of me because we are perfectionist and our own worse critics! You look amazing. When I saw you again, I was like, damn this woman is like Benjamin Button. Yet you look natural.
    Anyway, thank you for such a detailed video of your experience. I really appreciate it! ❤️

      We are alot alike! When I got my cheeks done, I hadn't told parents. They came over for dinner and my step-mom kept telling me that I looked pretty. She said that I looked really relaxed...and then later she said, "I think it's your top, that color looks so good on you!" I ended up telling her that I'd gotten my cheeks done the day before and she was blown away! She said that she would have never been able to pin-point it on her own, but that once I pointed it out, she noticed the difference and she loved it! Like you, that's the kind of results want! The kind that makes the BIGGEST difference to me, but no one else can really tell. Ha! I'm glad you love your results too! It's such a nice feeling. ❤️

    So funny you just came out with this video, I was just thinking about that video you did on your last fillers, & wondering, how long ago you had that done. I had fillers done in same location on my face, and just loved it. That was almost a year ago, and it still looks good. It definitely got rid of my bags and made my face fuller. This is an area, you definitely need to have someone who knows what they're doing. You don't want to have any vision problems. Do your research.
    The only thing I had issues with is once I got the fillers I developed a couple wrinkles around my upper lip. Having my check area fuller, and sleeping on my side, I think caused the upper lip wrinkling. As the doctor advised, it is very important to sleep on your back. I had the fillers done, and a few botox on forehead wrinkles and it cost nearly $1900. Pretty pricey, but I didn't mind, being that I found someone very reputable. I hope my filler last longer than a year,,, but will see.

    I’ve been getting Botox and fillers since I was 45 (I’m now 58). When people think of injectables, they often this of people who really overdo it. I have a minimal amount done so that I look great for my age but not like I’m trying to look 25. My injector will NOT overdo it. She says that her patients are her billboards and the overfilled look is not what she wants to be known for. You can get a really natural look if you go to the right person and articulate that you want it to look fairly natural.

    Hi! Thank you for this video! Does having filler in the under eye area eventually create bags? Does it create an empty space once the filler dissolves? Thanks!

    • @JeniferJenkinsBeauty
      @JeniferJenkinsBeauty  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm really not sure actually. I had my first injections under my eyes in March of 2016. I have had them touched up twice since then because filler eventually dissolves on it's own. My filler has never dissolved completely because I typically get it touched up before it all dissolves, so in all honesty, I haven't seen my bags again since before the first time I got injections back in 2016. I'm very conservative in my approach, so I've only added back volume where volume was lost over the years, as a result of the aging process. So, I'm postive that my face is no more stretched now, or has more empty space now, than it did right before my first filler injections, since my face is still much thinner now than it was when I was in my 20's. We just naturally lose volume as we age. ❤️
