Was waiting for this one for my mom, i think she will love it.
I feel this will appeal to many Chris. The phone is light and thin with a good flat sized screen. And the 778g is good reliable non overhearing chipset here and provides a good overall experience.

I'm using the mi 11 lite ne with the similar chipset. Not much reason to upgrade to this model. Much prefer the fingerprint sensor as a button and round edges at the sides of the phone. Oh and the mi 11 lite still retains the SD card expansion slot.

Really liking this one. The price is a little higher than what I'm willing to pay for a phone. Gonna have to wait until black Friday and see if I can get it cheaper.
Nice review as usual. But I'll probably use my Mi 9t Pro till it dies on me. Rocking the white colour for past 3 years with no scratches, and I have gcam to the rescue. I've had no justification to by another xiaomi phone for myself.
If they actually make a flat display on the flagships i will definitely buy those.

Flat screen with uniform bezels and a tiny punch hole cutout is the best!
Thanks for the review Chris. I was hoping they would improve a bit more from the Xiaomi 11lite 5G but that disent really seem to be the case. Weight is bit higher, same chip, little improvement on the caméra. We'll have to wait for the Price point to see if it's really worth buying compared to its predecessor

If you want to game then get the F4 or F3 if not oos. Else mi 11 lite ne is a good all rounder.
I'm new user of this phone and I have to say it is superb in almost all areas! It is gonna be sufficient for the huge majority of users including many more demanding ones since it has great display, it is fast and responsive, it has relatively impressive and capable cameras that are giving very nice photos considering this is much cheaper device than premium ones!
And I'm also very satisfied with buildt quality and beautiful design!
If you're budget oriented user that is looking after high quality phone with some premium features look no further! This is perfect solution!
Thinking of getting this. Will you still recommended from your experience so far? My priorities are connectivity, selfie camera and display. Also, have you updated to android 13 on it? If yes, how stable is the update?

After some two weeks of usage I can still easily recomend this great phone since it's very impressive for device that's atleast twice as cheaper than lower priced premium mobile devices! Yes, it has since been updated to the Android 13 and it's absolutely stable, with no problems, fast...
Although I'm not frequent user of selfie camera I've actually made several photos and they're fairly good which is no surprise since this is relatively high spec front camera.
Concerning connectivity and display they're great with no issues at all! In my opinion only minor issue for some (much) more demanding folks can be display tendency to be somewhat darker outdoors if it is in very direct sunlight at sunny day! But I guess you'll have hard time to find much brighter display at this price range! This is something very minor If you ask me although I'm actually living in Croatia where there are many sunny days!
Everything is very finely tuned and rounded up on this phone and I'm sure you'll be satisfied unless you're very demanding user used to highest end premium specs premium mobile phones!
Don't expect from Xiaomi 12 lite to have as same performance as some 1000 euros or even much more expensive phones since this is high mid-range phone and it is performing superb at this price range with added some more premium details (higher end chip, 122 Hz Amoled display, buildt quality...).

If you want a better build, cameras and game a lot the 12X. The drawback is the curved screen but it's a really nice phone the 12X.

For a long long time, New phones have just been a minor refresh over the old model. A mere reiteration. There's no such innovative touch that makes you go 'wow' anymore.

You’d think that wouldn’t be too much to ask, but in 2022 a reasonably sized flat screen with no hole is basically unobtanium (xperia 5 iii maybe, but it’s a weird shape and hard to get).

Nice phone but basically more or less the same as the previous version the mi 11 lite. Of course all boils down to pricing but for those that get a good deal on the Xiaomi 12x and are ok with curved screens personally think it's a better phone with better cameras. I've tried a few phones with the hm2 and they all had slow shutter speed so it's not ideal for taking family pics of kids and pets in anything but the best lighting. The 12x has pretty fast shutter speed

Sorry for writing a comment before watching the entire video but one thing that I don't understand is why xiaomi ditched the 5mp telemacro from last year in many of the 2021's successors (poco f4 , redmi note 11 pro, and now this) I don't understand, did they realize it's too good and reserved it just for the more expensive phones ? That's what I think at least
You're right I think they decided it was better suited to more expensive phones. The 2MP senor is terrible and the 8MP ultrawide is poor at best

Hiya. I have a dilemma and I hope you can help me choose.
In terms of main camera and selfie camera which one would you choose for a decent AND above average everyday in terms of quality, sharpness, dynamic range, low noise, low light, natural/real-life tones and video stabilization for their specs and optimisations:
1. OnePlus 9 w/ EIS (Sony IMX689)
2. Realme 9 Pro+ w/ OIS (SonyIMX766)
3. Poco F4 w/ OIS ( unknown sensor).
Also, taking into account the company that is faster in updates, community support and current device optimisations. Please help. THANKS.
I can't comment on the F4 as I never got a review unit. But Either the OnePlus 9 or the 9 Pro+, the main camera with the 9 Pro+ is okay but the software optimisation is a bit off with Realme. A good Gcam would help but maybe the F4 is better, but I've not used it.
I only wish for a lighter software skin.MIUI is a bit heavy it needs so much power to run smoothly

Is this phone have IP53 rating?
They make a great mid range(or premium mid range in my region calls it) but fails in the way that most Chinese brands doing, putting a mediocre secondary lens, why don't they put a better ultra wide sensor, i mean, they could do it, and they used to do it, with they Poco X3 NFC, which could record 60fps or 4k with the ultrawide, and still have EIS at that resolution
I think in this price range a camera is not the top of the list for most buyers. Just a good main camera will do the trick and if you need more then trade up. I buy an iPhone as I am in the ecosystem but I rarely use the ultra-wide or zoom so I would def not miss them that much if Apple had a big $500 iPhone.
@@andyH_England if that's the reason than no brand doing the ultrawide properlu, and for someone who looks at this sort of pricing of a phone, i want that better camera atleast a better sensor it doesn't have to has a 60 fps at 4k or something, just a better sensor, that is sharper, and better at less than optimal lighting
Also there's a real reason why they don't do it, it's easier for them to promote a phone with triple or more camera, than only 2 cameras (with better quality disparity) these days
@@ezrapardede1921 I agree with the last paragraph, Xiaomi is a business and has to differentiate between their lineup, they all do it and it is as expected.
If every $400 phone had a zoom and good ultra-wide then flagship Androids would die a death, and in some way, as sales of the Galaxy S line show, this is already happening (50%+ lower than 2.5 years ago).

Doesn't feel like a true improvement from Xiaomi 11 Lite NE, which has a hybrid-SIM slot & 5 MP macro camera. Xiaomi 12X is still a better choice.
I just got this phone and the scrolling is 120hrz but it's not like fast if that makes sense. It feels like it drags a bit. The strange thing is that this problem doesn't happen when your on a website, that's how I noticed it. Happens on Instagram FB Google feed and other apps. Not sure if it's just me

Yes autofocus and two LED flashes. There was a clip I forgot that included a shot of the LEDs in action.

Xiaomi mi 11 lite had two screen suppliers, Tianma and Huaxing. The tianma screen is much worse than the Huaxing one. Don't know about the Xiaomi 12 lite but it's something to be aware of. Companies sometimes use multiple screen supplier and it's pot luck which one you get.

It make sense, all android phone use shotgun strategy (Saturate the market with as much phone as they can to get as many sales as they can get). If I am the CEO I will do the same, money is money
I'm so waiting for a pixel 6 pro vs Xiaomi 12s ultra camera comparison when it's available. I want to buy a really great camera phone that last a while for her. I'm leaning to the pixel 6 pro, but she likes Xiaomi phones quite a bit, specially because of MIUI and Xiaomi's apps.
Oh a bit hard now since I sold my Pixel 6 Pro.

Feels like it's barely an improvement over the 11 lite 5g, might as well get that instead of this.
OIS and a better 13 MP ultra wide camera and this could've been the Realme and Samsung A52s/A53 killer! Very unfortunate.
So it's a downgrade from 11 lite 5G. No SD card slot and it's heavier.

If Xiaomi don't bring back SD card support, I'll switch brands. They can't become the iPhones we've been running from with bad software and less camera quality. They really need to reduce the amount of phones they release in a year like half then focused on better software experience and improve camera quality (how hard can that be with all the good camera hardware), remove the useless macro lens and improve the ultra wide cameras and enough with all the nonsense beautification (it is not appealing) really sad because I was rooting for them.

I dont know how this phone supposed to be the successor of mi 11 lite. Only 2 positive thing is higher refresh rate and faster charger but everything else is like a downgrade. They cut down from metal frame to plastic, gorilla glass 6 to 5, no ip rating but somehow this phone become heavier and thicker than previous model!? No chip upgrade, no ufs upgrade, camera still dont have ios and battery is about 50mah more. Is Xiaomi trying to fill the blank than making a new phone?
Buy the 11 Lite instead! Mostly same experience for cheaper.

newly launched models are barely in hands of customers but there is a leak that xiaomi 13 series will be launched in November 😂😂😂 xiaomi models are now over saturated in the markets , too many models with different names , xiaomi, blackshark, redmi, poco phone with very similar specs
