I'm working on a video to answer that question with a more-in-depth explanation. I believe the answer depends on the state. The situation with every state's manual is slightly different. Usually, the first part of the state's CDL manual (usually but not always) contains state-specific CDL information, then the second part of the state's CDL manual (usually but not always) contains content from the AAMVA or the American Assoc. of Motor Vehicle Administrators. I believe there would be a difference between the states if there was a question that might come up referencing a specific state law or a state-specific regulation. Two weeks ago I took the GK, with the 'P' & 'S' endorsements.....I PASSED the 'S', my question is, when I go back this week to take the GK over and the 'P' endorsement, do I have to re-take the 'S'?!
