Happy New Year from Prague, Old Town Square! My wishes for 2024 🇨🇿 Czech Republic

- I probably should have posted this video earlier, on Christmas Day. But we had a terrible thing happen in Prague: a mad student shot his father and two people in a park and after killed 15 people at the university. On the eve of Christmas, mourning was declared, and the festive illuminations went out for one day. In short, the mood was terrible.
I live in one of the most atheistic countries in Europe, in case you didn't know. We have had this in the Czech Republic since the Hussite wars in the Middle Ages and communist rule in the last century. 48% of the population is non-religious, atheist, agnostic, or other non-religious life stance. Nevertheless, everyone here believes in Christmas! Because it's an excellent opportunity for family members to get together and give each other love and attention. It is often the only day of the year when all family members get together. I like this day.
And it's probably good that I'm telling you this on the 31st of December, when everyone is making dreams for the new year or planning to start a new life from the new year, quitting drinking or losing weight, and so on. Starting something on a specific date is silly, but that's how we are. After all, life never stops; it is always moving; there is no future and past for us; there is only the present when we can do something. And I want to say that, in my opinion, the main problem for mankind is the lack of love. That's often what makes people crazy. All these killers and tyrants who start wars in the world have been unloved by someone.
So I wish you more love in the coming year, so much love you can share with your friends and family. Don't put it off; do it now, in the present. We may survive.

The Old Town Square is the oldest and most important square in historical Prague. It is surrounded by historical buildings such as the Old Town City Hall with the famous Astronomical Clock, the imposing St. Nicholas Church and Church of Our Lady before Tyn, and many houses and palaces of various architectural styles and colorful history. It has been a center of Prague's Old Town since the Middle Ages, a marketplace crossing European merchants' roads. The first houses were built around the Old Town Square in the 12 and 13 centuries. Some present homes still have Romanesque or Gothic foundations, basements, or ground floors. The Old Town City Hall was built in the 14th century, and the Church of Our Lady before Tyn was built a little later. The Old Town Square became Prague Old Town's economic and political center.

stastny novy rok! prayers to prague 🙏 ive been there 6 times in the past 4 years, sometimes when you are filming im only a few blocks away walking around, i know bcs ive seen the videos that were uploaded a few hours or a day later =D soo many times you have walked right by my air b n b at a time when i am there, but im outside walking around just a few blocks away =D or for example, if you had turned left you likely would have seen me sitting at a restaurant or pub but instead you turned right =D you've even walked past this potraviny where i accidentally offended the shop keeper with some damaged yogurt ..the same day i was there LOL and yes you are right, love over all. happy new year
