5:29 government offices and hospitals are actually my recommendation for free and very clean toilets here in Germany. If they have a front desk (more common since Covid), just politely ask where the visitor toilets (Besuchertoiletten) are. Otherwise they are usually not hard to find, somewhere on the ground floor near the entrance. Please shit responsibly and don’t leave a mess.

2:33 Actualy, Janek, those track numbers ARE important, but just not in everyday ordinary life. Track numbers are used on every station on every rail in this country (yes, metro is a rail of sort) and they are used in rail controlling and usually train announcing, like "train in direction xxx will depart from (platform number three,) track 4 (the bracket part used of course only where platforms are). With metro/subway this announcement would be pointless, so it is not made UNLESS there is something happening.
Most often I meet it at C line between Pražského povstání and Florenc (two stations where metro can actually switch tracks), because whenever an interruption (usually planned) is in place, they may - besides subtitude X-C buses - leave one of those tracks in operation so people WILL get to main station (Hlavní nádraží) via metro. At that moment the announcements ARE using track numbers in both Czech and English, because there is usually one metro train going back and forth on one track so you announce that "TRAIN ON TRACK TWO IS HEADING TOWARDS FLORENC STATION" and anyone can clearly see the number above them.
So there is a use for those numbers - it is not in use so often and on some stations definitely more than on the others, but the metro must be prepared for unexpected situation and those numbers are there for exactly those reasons.
And, yes, track numbers are used in one more cases - when manipulation trains come through, they might refer to "train in direction Letňany is not suited for passenger transport" or "train on track 1 is not suited for passenger transport". Been hearing the first one more in recent years, but occasionaly hearing the latter one, too.

That hill you pointed at in the end. I walked there when I visited and took some amazing photos of the bridges and the city centre from there. there is also a beautiful park and much more to see.
I had about 8 hours to spend during the day after I arrived early at the airport before continuing my travels to elsewhere in CZ.
I did a route from the station to the museum - wenseclaus square - old town - charles bridge - castle (didn't go in there because there was a line) - some nice park - that hill (metronome) - back to the centre to find a bite to eat and then back to the station to continue my journey .

2:10 Now that's a duly executed formality if I ever saw one. If it happened in Warsaw you'd also have designated platform numbers alongside track numbers. And most of the time it'd be 'Track 1 Platform 2" and "Track 2 Platform 1".

That's exactly what I am complaining about all the time to Prague public transport company, it's so annoying when you miss the train becuase you didn't know what direction it is. I think all those signs and marks were better in the past than now. As he mentions number of track, that's 100% correct, it means nothing, you need to see final station first. I think that people who are creating these things are actually car people and they think as car people, they don't realize what is important and what not.
