The smooth animation and the art style are just beautiful, the song is also pretty catchy. I love the visuals too. Kudos to all the talented artists who worked on this.
For those wondering, it's later revealed in the manga that, yes, this is in the same universe as the Jaiden Animations series, I think it probably happens between the season 2-3 timeskip, or chapters 52-56 for the manga readers, tho that's mostly filler, so it'd be better just to accept this as the Canon
I think we can all agree that the training arc with grandmaster james was the greatest piece of charcter development for maaz and it helped him unlock his true magical potential
They did leave out the part on how he mastered the Starstrike attack, they did put it in the manga but in the anime they didn't even aknowledge it's existance untill he had to fight Master James to prove he's stronger
