Great game! It's too bad you didn't get to try the amped cards! Some notes: 6:00 Ratchet would have moved two spaces into the center room and kill a Victim on the first Terror card. Or out of solitary and down one and killed a Victim. 21:00 The designer has confirmed there is no maximum time limit. You can go above 12 if you are lucky enough to do so. 26:05 When you placed the Maniac you neglected to activate it (per the Dark Power)--wouldn't have made a difference though.
@@CeePhour Another thing that was covered in the official FAQ, but you didn't notice in the playthrough, is that the knife from this box is not really range 1. :)
100% - this is something I haven't valued enough. Planning is easily my most underused card. Statistically it is probably the best card for good number of situations - especially instead of just winging it.
@CeePhour I could see it being good for distraction as well, but wonder how worth the 7 cost (planning and distraction) to lower the horror by 2 and get 2 time. It would often take 2 rounds to set up since 7 is a lot of time to finish a round with.
@@CeePhour I'm pretty sure if there was a statistic on card use by FG players, Planning would place last by a wide margin. I'm not even sure it's a well-designed card, since it's a huge investment to mitigate randomness through more randomness. Compare that to Improvise, which drastically reduces randomness instead.
A part of me wishes that Ratchet Lady wasn't so obviously the villain. There's a certain weirdness to "is all this in the final girl's head and she's actually the killer?", considering the location and background.
What movie is ratchet lady based on? My guess would be silent hill though the name ratchet lady make my think of nurse ratchet from one flew over the cuckoos nest.
My feeling were the same as yours, very much Silent Hill inspired mixed with "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest" (and "Ratched" on Netflix, which I loved).
I played against the Ratchet Lady 3 times with Heather now. I won the first and third game. The first game I had the bonesaw as a weapon which really helped. But after I won that game I shuffled in Heathers special bonesaw and in the third game I got both the normal bonesaw and Heaters special bonesaw. Both are one handed weapons and Heathers bonesaw cancels out the horror lowering effect of the normal bonesaw, so I had 4 extra damage on every attack I did!! I won so fast! In both games I never had to draw any side effects or amped cards because I just won too quickly to even think about collecting and taking pills haha.
I love Heather's special saw! I haven't shuffled any of these weapons in yet, for my initial plays. This game is too much fun! One question, were you were using both saws at once (like dual wield)? I may have missed it, but all I see is in the FG rule book, page 27, there is a note under "WEAPONS" about choosing one weapon to use per attack. Even if they're "the same" (two "Knife" cards), I think it means different "card" not "different name of weapons".
Just as an FYI, unless it specifies that you can, weapons don’t stack. You can only attack with a single weapon. If you have one in each hand you can choose which to use, but not both simultaneously.
@@CeePhour Yes I forgot about that rule but I would've won anyway because she was just way to calm, just staying in 1 place and the terrordeck wasn't spawning any maniacs. The Bonesaw is kinda OP even when you use just 1
Oh wow, I didn't even notice because every other Knife card in the game is 0. However, this is an error on the card. It is clarified in the FAQ: docs.google.com/document/d/1-W15lbbHdLvR3gMQZpUFWfuBczfHRZxTdH7PafDt24g/edit
The maniacs don't attack, on the finale card says: Minion targets victims and final girl. And only walks. There is no knife on the Minion line 😊😊 you still won, even by making it harder. I think that they only attack if a card say they do, or when you leave a space with more than one maniac. I love Veronica!!! Just won over Rachet Lady with her. 😀

Oh wow, that's super interesting to know about the time limit. It doesn't happen often, but good to know! Thank you (again :D)!

Subscribed, great video!
Wow what a final turn.
I like to use planning for major attacks when I can afford to get it, so I am more likely to get 2 successes.

You missed one victim on setup

@@CeePhour There's also The Ward by John Carpenter, which is set in an asylum. Heather is based on the protagonist of that movie.

26:30 knive has range 1 and you are at the same space that killer (range 0) so can't apply the knive extra damage / Same at 28:19 / Same at 28:40
