Really enjoyed this. Got slaughtered on the tutorial game but managed to pick up a win game two. Ordered stories today too.
Finished the campaign! Managed to get an A- overall 🤩 What a great game! Thanks for the hard work you put into these videos and for showing everybody the joy of this game and its solo campaign 😄 Oh, boy! When the app started discarding 6 cards at a time, I started to sweat 😆At the end of the game the deck had only 11 or 13 cards left 😨 I'm hoping you can give this another shot at a higher difficulty one day 😁And I also hope you can make time with your work schedule for more videos like this 🤞 As always, I'll watch your video now and enjoy the ride 💪
My latest team got robbed twice by invisible goblins, then stumbling around in a dungeon hopelessly, surviving by luck and running away. They abandoned their goal and exited the dungeon. I imagined them looking at eachother standing outside just in their underwear and being like "what the heck just happened". And they decided to go to the nearest village and for the whole walk there they spoke no word to eachother, just loud silence LOL
Dude I love your enthusiasm. Great videos thanks
Just played my first game yesterday, and man there's a lot to remember haha. I feel once I get the flow of things it'll speed up though. (that and I need a few more accessories to organize the 57 deck stacks and 32 token types haha) Fun game and great art =) I saw this on the Dungeon Dive, but it didn't click for me. After watching your play through I had an "Ah-ha!" moment and decided to order it (glad I did). Thanks for giving this oddly rad game the attention it deserves!
I only have 2 of the games you've done playlists for (Under Falling Skies and D100) but these playthroughs ive watched for these games are great. Thank you!
All for the love of games, friend!
What a twist! Managed to get out in time thanks to the boots of the ape lord (again!) and got enough stuff to escape too 🤩 I drew 2 Riot cards at the beginning of the chapter, which helped me a lot in freeing some prisoners 💪Although the +1 clank didn't help a lot, but managed to get 2 bards and some cards with the "minus clank" effect (like the good ol' Sneak attack 🗡). In the end, I ended up hoping to generate some clank as it helped me stay afloat in terms of health and trigger other effects. That coupled with the sword that lets you recover health if you defeat a monster on the dungeon row (although some times I drew it and there were no monsters to defeat...). This was a very good run and I got a whooping 225 points, which ended up giving me an A+ at the end. Now, onto the final chapter ⚔But before that comes your video 🤩
oh, man, what a great run! You managed to escape and got to rescue different prisoners, which came to show the different side-quests for each one. I got to free the mayor and then two peasants, and every time I freed a peasant the mayor was kind of disgusted by them and telling me to hurry and escape 😆 The market discount!! What a bummer you saw it after you escaped 😅 had also forgotten about it, and I realized that I used it the wrong way when I played, because I think I ended up spending 5 gold for the item instead of 2 😨 Great game, as always 😁 Now I gotta play the last chapter 🤩
So awesome to see a solo playthru of this amazing game. I've got it out on my table right now after getting the expansions last week. Brilliant!
I am away on vacation this week and I keep thinking about this game. I ordered the expansions and they arrived before I left. So they're sitting there, unopened, on my table right now, 533 miles (~858km) away, and I won't be back until this weekend. It's killing me 😁
This chapter got me greedy and made me realize how clumsy I can be sometimes! At the beginning I had to collapse a tile and collapsed the only tile that connected me to the rest of the maze, so I got locked on the upper part of the rectangular tile, going back and forth getting all the monkey idols until I defeated the Keymaster, which let me discover new tiles 😆 After that, I decided to free Max, which ended up making it very difficult, as the rules state that you are knocked out if he's knocked out, so I was juggling between our clanks and restoring health with the bard. I ended up getting knocked out because if a dragon attack, but not before barely getting to a safe tile, which ended up getting me rescued 🤩 I loved the mechanics of restoring collapsed tiles by marking wayshrines, and getting more stuff by marking extra wayshrines! I won't get tired of saying this: They did an amazing job with this solo campaigns ❤ Now, let's see your playthrough 👀
oh, boy! That game was amazing! You pulled the right cards at the end and managed to survive 🤩 Thanks for such great and high-quality content 😁
@@PochoMocho Sometimes the luck is with me! 😁
Men your setup is so similar to mine. The main difference mine content is in Portuguese 😅
Oh wow, yeah it is! Haha! I works well, but tons of stuff I would upgrade if I had money and time. 😅
Oh, man.. this chapter was the greatest yet! I almost got to kill the Skeletal Ape (I was one sword away from doing so in like 3 turns). I got too greedy and almost got myself killed 😅 I thought I could take him out, but couldn't manage to do so. I ended up getting out of the dungeon with one hit-point left and no cubes left on my reserve 🤣that hadn't happened to me before, and I was so nervous about the next dragon attack and having the ape get to me and deal damage that I had to run away. Thankfully the boots of the ape lord and the monkey idols made it possible 🏃💨 Got my highest score yet on this chapter 💪 Now I'm looking forward to watching your video and see how was your experience 🤩
Finished watching your video. Oh, man.. how unlucky to draw no swords on that last turn! 😱 If I'm not wrong, you shouldn't have taken the 2 damage on that turn, but after refilling the cards on the following turn instead (if the ape was on your same tile). Spending all your lockpicks also stopped you from going to the last haunted tile (you could have taken the damage and moved there), although I'm not sure how much helpful would that have been 🤔 I barely managed to survive because I had bought a lot of boot cards, but the ending is almost the same with the first paragraph being the only thing that was different. I said it and I'll say it again: This experience is soooo much fun! 🤩 Let's see what chapter 4 has in store (gonna start playing that one soon) 👀
This is a good analysis of exactly why I enjoy Clank! games so much. Everything is a weighted gamble. Do I blow my lockpicks right away? Do I save them for when I might need them later to bail me out of a situation? (I'm also the video game player who ends the game with 99 Healing Potions because "I might need them!")
@PocoMocho You narrowly avoided death :) I'd like to play this whole thing again one day, but maybe twice back-to-back or each map twice before moving on, just to see how different it would be if I could plan for what was coming (at this point I have forgotten it all so it would be 90% new to me anyway).
@@CeePhour oh, yes! Please play them again! 🤩I would love to watch you play these again after a year. As you said, it's not like you'd be going blindly at it as you already played the campaign, but it would be awesome to see how different strategies (and different card draws) would affect the gameplay paired up with having some knowledge of what's to come. Also, knowing that your decisions can affect the rest of the chapter in different ways is also something that gives this a high value in regards of replayability (is that a word?).
@@CeePhour hahahaha, I'm more of the type to burn the health potions ASAP, unless I'm planning on buying a potion from the market ❤ Based on my small experience with this game, lockpicks are a rare and very valuable commodity, so I tend to amass a lot of them (by defeating monsters, buying cards that give you lockpicks, or buying the items on the market) and try to use them with a specific purpose in mind. A good time to burn the lockpicks is on the endgame, when you know you're doing everything to get out 🏃 I'm loving this game, and my wife too, so here's hoping we can enjoy some Clank! games together and with friends 🥰 keeping your "GAMER" phrase in mind 😉
Finished the second chapter! Got knocked out at the end on the only safe place that I could manage to get to: A crystal cave near the entrance. The amazing part is that I managed to get there thanks to a card that lets you ignore monsters in tunnels, and the only way I could get there was through a tunnel with a monster, but I was with only one hit-point left (you can't take the damage from a tunnel monster if it kills you). So, I was very lucky! 🤩 And I couldn't have known about this if it weren't for you, so, thank you very much for this playlist! Now I'm gonna watch your video 😁
Finished your video. What incredible luck! You got a lot of potions! I'm not jealous at all 😜 I'm so excited to see if the story is affected by what the player does or doesn't 🤩The text at the end of your video was different from the one I got, mainly because you decided to defeat the warlock while I decided to talk to the bat, which ended up giving me a different extra mission to complete. So amazing! Thanks for the great content 😍 BTW, I love the phrase that you always say at the end "games are made for everyone's recreation" 🥰so true!
Oh that's good to know, the different outcomes is something to make me want to play again! "(G)ames (A)re (M)ade for (E)veryone's (R)ecreation" is a wink and a nod to a podcast I used to do, which was titled (G)ames (A)nd (M)ore (E)ntertainment (R)adio which was video games, movies, whatever nerd entertainment focused. :)
Still waiting for mine to arrive in the EU. Hopefully in the next 2 weeks. Thanks for your videos while I wait!
Yay! It's been a long wait, but it's nearly over, and it will be worth it. Many eggman shells to be cracked in the days to come😀 In case anyone seeing this missed the latest update on KS: European shipping estimated to have started this weekend or early this week (and today is Monday Sep 30 '24).
Fun game. If only the shipping costs were not crazy to Europe 😢
Even here in the US the shipping is a bit stiff, I can't even imagine how much it is everywhere else. Is print and play an option? The game really won me over and I simply wanted more of it, so I finally caved and blew my monthly fun budget on the rest (not merely a FOMO situation, I've actually been playing this, unlike like most Kickstarters I back...), I'm certain it will be worth it.
@@CeePhour I'm definitely not crafty or patient enough for Print and Play. I'll play vicariously through you.
This looks fantastic. I might pick this up.
It is a blast, and in just core box it's a ton of game. I have never not had a fun time with it, even on the games where I get creamed in combat, or finish with 1 Quest Point and it ends. It is VERY unique. Games I've been playing off camera have been the "solo long game", 12 rounds, and it can become quite a bit to track (sometimes NPCs are moving around, there's multiple round effects, healing various characters, etc), but it's manageable, and incredible. It feels very alive and plays in around two hours. It's like your own little short story in this wild land.
Which sleeves do you use? Thank you
GameGenic Red (mini Euro) and Prime Retro (I don't like the regular standard size GG sleeves, but GG Retro are clones of the old FFS05 sleeves). THE REDS ARE A TIGHT FIT AND A LITTLE TOO TALL. Thank you for this, it made me realize I'm low on Retro Prime sleeves and have the expansions on the way 😆
Good play through lots of fun I’m about to start this myself. I do have a question the card holder that you’ve printed you wouldn’t be able to point me to the STL I’ve looked around and can’t seem to find one that’s similar. Thanks.
www.printables.com/model/181640-clank-legacy-acquisitions-incorporated-card-holder I printed 2 of the shallow ones and 1 deep one b(all at once). Afterwards I realized I should have just printed 3 deep ones (more versatile). One thing I vaguely remember is I had to enlarge it just a bit to accommodate sleeved cards.
Just finished the first episode of my solo campaign, and I must say, it's amazing!! I had watched this video before starting my campaign, so I knew that there would be collapses. What I didn't recall was the effect of the first collapse! I had bought the card that lets you teleport from a wayshrine to another, and I had discovered some tiles with portals and wayshrines, so I thought that the way back would be a breeze... 🌬 After defeating the skeleton, I realized that I had to collapse all the tiles that had a portal in it.. including the one with a wayshrine.. So, you can imagine that the way back got increasingly complicated, which was bad and good at the same time 🤩 Now, onto the second episode of the solo campaign (and your video after I finish that) 💪 Thanks for the amazing content!
This was so much fun and I'm STILL thinking about it a year later. Good news is that I have forgotten most of the details so I could easily play again :) I do wish they'd develop more solo content (I'd even pay for "DLC solo campaigns" in the app!), but Paul said no (in a Reddit AMA). Glad you had a good time!
@@CeePhour oh, that's a bummer.. I think having new and innovative ways of playing a game that you already love has so much value! But I understand that the creator would like to keep bringing new stuff to the table, like expansions or new standalones and stuff. About you forgetting most of the details, have you ever considered replaying it but with a higher difficulty? I'd love to do that once I'm finished with the campaign 😍
Here we are a couple of months later and it's fun, but hard to find an online game (it can be hours between lobby messages) and I've reported close to 20 bugs. The AI is atrocious except for adding some randomness if you don't have enough players. Even in this game you played, the AI trashed a burgle instead of a stumble. When you can get a proper game, it's good, and support is super responsive
Agreed, this is what I had feared. Just like with Raiders of the North Sea, it's a dang good implementation, but was abandoned quickly. Which means we likely won't see any expansions, which is one of the things it needs (as did Raiders), long with AI updates and bug fixes.
hey there! Just wanted to let you know that I'm really enjoying your content (specially related to Clank!) and I've gotta say that I didn't know about the solo mode for Catacombs until I found your videos about it 🤩 So, thank you very much! I've been enjoying the solo mode a lot, and will keep watching your solo campaign after completing each chapter by myself ❤ Keep up the great content! 💪
Thank you and I'm glad you found me! :) It's surprising how many people didn't know about this solo campaign!
@@CeePhour I know, right? It's just amazing that after releasing the game the creator would put time and effort into bringing a companion app that adds more content and innovative ways to play it😍
Love your card and its backstory!
Any chance of a playthrough of Gate+Gates? You did say you have it, and should fit just fine on your table.
Going on a vacation at the end of this week, I'll have to bring them to play while away so I can come back prepared to play on camera. :)
What a playthrough!
LOVE THIS GAME!
Oh no! Another game you made me buy. 😂
This one is a winner, for sure. I dig it. It hits all the right beats for an old school dungeon crawl.
You skipped the draw cards at the very first turn
Dangit! It's crazy how often I do that! lol
I want more!
Me too! I wish I had time...
Waiting for my copy to arrive to Ireland. This play through is making me so excited, thanks!
Hopefully soon! This game is a wild ride. Definitely worth your attention.
Yesss very happy you are doing a playthrough
This game is really fun. I'm very impressed with it.
Me too. I ended up getting two of the expansions @@CeePhour
This is definitely one of those games where if you don't get it while you can, you might not be able to.
Taking my own advice. Just ordered the rest. Blew the monthly discretionary budget in one blow :)
@@CeePhour hell yes!
I'm embarrassed to say that I just recently discovered your channel, but I'm glad I did. Great content, sir. Keep up the great work and Game On!
Glad to see you!
Have fun getting everything back in box after punching lol
I am worried! I tossed the insert already, but it's not leaving my table for a bit yet, so I won't have to tackle that beast for a few weeks :)
Very easy to do
I got mine and can not stop playing!!!!!
I was going to record a play last week but after one play my mind was a bit blown. I ran into a few questions that took a long time to answer, so I want to be a bit more comfortable before recording. It is a ton of fun!
@@CeePhour I can't wait till you do!!!
You forgot one victim placement at the start of the game. Should have started with 12.
PSA: The 36 small cards fit Mini Euro, BUT the cards are SHORT. boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/228412/dark-venture/sleeves
Great video. 11:45 Actually, placing the 3 ownership markers on locations 6, 7, and 8 in the specified order do have a meaning, although game wise is doesn't really matter. De red ownership marker (Spain) is placed on the Spanish island San Juan, the white (England) is placed on the English island St. Kitts, and the blue (France) is placed on the French island Martinique. 59:50 You do not NEED to have a corn to explore 2 spaces when you sail to Port Royal. Delivering the corn is optional. And yes, the city action lets you move only 2 spaces on the explorer track. 1:10:20 Yes, you can get, buy, and use the explorer this round. You may refill your hand up to 6 cards. So take the explorer for free. Then next turn move to location 8 and buy the explorer and place your assistant in location 9. And then the next turn use it. So it takes 2 whole turns, which could be a bad move against Jean. 1:11:40 Yes, Jean has removed 4 discs from her ship board, but that's only 2 yellow circle spaces (i.e. upgrades). So you are still ahead on upgrades. As you will notice during final scoring. 1:24:05 The gold mine isn't a dead end. You have to have reached or passed space 5 of the explorer track to take use of the gold mine (combat action). But after that, you still can move your explorer. The brown line which connects the gold mine to space 5 isn't a black arrow (which indicates the direction in which you move your explorer), so you can't move your explorer onto the gold mine. 1:50:20 No, you didn't mess up, but you forgot to count the bonus for being ahead on the influence tracks. So you should get 6 more points and Jean gets 3 more points.
What's in the BOX?!?!!
Awesome !! 👍
55:24 Now I realized you could do well chugging that potion of finesse just few rounds into ghost fight. 1:06:07 There's more to trinkets on both those BST1 rolls, gems and throwing axe + 2 1:18:05 So you've never played Runescape.... Columbarium is involved in a bunch of quests there. 1:50:30 Exact Strike adds Shift modifier... 1:52:24 Consistent with provision that makes ration out of 3 food items, it should be separate, so you gain 1 ration and 2 of 3 components of subsequent one. 2:03:28 Shackles, another avenue of fixing the portcullis lever via IU... 2:06:43 You haven't fudged it this time, there's a rule about merging rooms.
59:05 Next potion of phasing? Another scroll of melt metal? BTW. You forgot to register scroll of invisibility and that you've liberated one prisoner - latter counts, even outside some side quests. 1:10:19 It's D6+5. Exact attack is not interruptible. 1:18:22 *If* you are soaked... 1:29:17 TCT1+2. You seem to mentally insert '-' between last alphabetic character and table number, whenever there is one. 1:32:26 Something right up certain Adrianglian secret agent (Ilona Andrews, Edgers Saga) alley... 1:43:49 IAUT1 sure, but that kitchen knife used through IU as throwing weapon, even with D3 damage, possibly D6 to fungal enemies... 1:51:07 Just mark it with 'O' code... 2:29:04 These are valuable offerings... 2:30:00. Again... Trap activates *if* you're soaked. You decided not to fish, so you're not...
~6:13 Hopefully that's not Mini Rogue or expansions that you're missing. ~2:37:00 Your intuition is correct. After discovering 75% of the dungeon, you can start thinking going down.
CERBERUS At the revealed Underworld Door lair location, discard a BLUE item to do the following, in order: A. Roll 3 dice. B. (Optional, once per Advance action 4 ) Discard a GREEN item to earn as many rerolls as that item’s strength. Each reroll may be used to reroll any number of dice. 5 C. If the dice match the symbols on any of the 5 Door Tokens, you may remove 1 of the matching Door Tokens. When all 5 Door Tokens have been removed, Cerberus can be defeated. NOTE: You cannot remove more than one token per Advance action. This includes the tokens that only show 1 or 2 symbols.
If I recall that "if youre having fun, youre doing it right" type rule was in AD&D

I just got this game from Target a week ago for under $20. I usually wait for the newer version to come out and Target will drop the price on the older version to clear them out.
28:08 Wrong entry on E. Bear is 43-44, not 45 (75 - 30).
"Collected spells may be sold directly from an adven- turer’s spell book for 800gp, and scrolls can be sold for 200gp each" Page 30, 4. Sell items (optional) section.
1:57:23 Your patience got rewarded...
48:17 Wrong D entry. 63 is J3, not LV3.
39:58 Rats have _Disease_ so with natural 1 you should act accordingly...
20:56 5 -1 (Feet) -2 (Dmg of Giant Rats) gives 2, not 3.
