Just got my Black Series rod. All I can say is wow. The comfort on the new grips is next level. The action is true unlike other rods I have and the sensitivity is amazing. Now I need more.

Honestly your grips are amazing so glad you didn't go the same fuji grips and reel seats like everyone else. But why fazlite? When alconite is alot better and only couple dollars more for a whole guide train? Also lower that hook keeper. When you grab the handle to transport you get a hook in hand. Plus lowering it will help the balance.

Thanks for the comment! Any time you build a rod or reel you are always speccing out all the possible trade-offs for the key components (blanks, guides, grips, etc in the case of rods. Gears, casing, breaks, knobs, bearings etc. for reels.) For these rods we looked at the market and target price point and looked at where the customers would care most about the trade offs. While alconite cost slightly more than fazelite, fazelite is still a great guide and most people will not notice the difference. We put that cost difference into the blanks and the full carbon grips, which we felt customers would notice a lot more.

Two people spent $10k on a googan squad box. People will spend money on these. It’s probably known these won’t have the same sales as their other rods. It’s for a different market. I have a gold series rod and love it. Wouldn’t buy this one but I just don’t have a need for a $300 rod. Should it be that expensive I have no clue but for those upset about it just don’t buy the rod.

There are no other rods with these specs and materials sold at that price point. The components in this rod and the factory who is making it make higher end products that retail in this price range based on the cost to produce them.

Based on what? I could say Shakespeare is a better rod and not provide reasons why.
I have 2 green muscle rods and couldn’t be happier. They’re very sensitive and have an excellent backbone, and the grip and clicking reel seat is superb.
Really, the differences in rods today is so minimal you’re hard pressed to make a bad choice.

While I like my Googan Rods quite well, where you guys are SEVERELY LACKING is in customer service!!!
I find it unethical to not have a working number and to have all customer service issues run through E-mails that sit in people’s inboxes for days and weeks. I had an issue with an order for a rod that never arrived and i tried contacting customer service countless times and no one responded for 3 weeks, so I decided to BOMBARD your customer service email and sent the same email almost 60 times in succession so that a BLOCK of my emails would stand out and FINALLY I got a response and a new Rod was finally sent, but I never got the T-Shirt I paid for 6 months ago and I couldn’t be bothered to follow up to get it sent out.
YOU GUYS SERIOUSLY NEED A LIVE AGENT(S) FIELDING CALLS!!!!
