For everyone commenting “he didn’t even fish with it” if I could I would. Just have 2ft of snow where I live. BUT I’m so confident in these rods if this comment get 300 likes, I’ll fly to Florida just to fish with it.

I don’t have a googan rod but I’m headed to Florida in a few weeks👍 I’ll fish with my Loomis, shimnao, Dobyns and even a Basspro rod that was given to me. All kidding aside rods are tools. When the rod is setup nicely for the lure your fishing with the right line and good feeling reel it doesn’t matter who makes it.
I will say I sent a GLX back a few weeks ago that I broke while fishing Headwaters Lake in Florida in January. It just snapped on a hook set but the rod was 20 years old. They looked at it and covered it with a warranty. I paid $225 (I think) 20 years ago and they go for double that now? That’s one hell of a warranty.

He didn't even fish with it. The ruler is a "gamechanger" then 10 seconds later he says it's "not groundbreaking". My BS meter was going off throughout this whole vid. The Googans are creating a more "hip approach to fishing". Does that make them hipsters? Lol

You keep saying you're transparent, but you're working with Catch Co. who sells the rods. It takes two seconds to find out why G Loomis rods are top tier rods online. You are a young buck wanting to join some gang, fine. However there is a history to fishing, and gear that you seem to know nothing about, but you just ignore it because you are being a joiner. You come off like such tool for the goon squad, why? You never fished these rods, and have a bunch of them, and you can tell how great they are. You just seem like a con man trying to dupe people into using your affiliate link. Take a minute to imagine what you seem like to your viewers.

Great review! One other thing to point out that we don’t promote so much is that the blank materials are made from Japanese graphite, which is the highest quality in the world. Very hard to find rods with these materials at this price point (not gonna say they don’t exist but we don’t know if any). Also what you say about Googans is 100% truth.

“Gloomis... who has that kind of money?” A lot of people do apparently or they’d be out of business. I have 6 myself, I’m a tackle junkie ha ha. They cost way more because they are handcrafted from premium components in USA not China and are some of the lightest most sensitive rods on the market. Custom tapers not generic blanks. Lifetime warranty too. Definitely out of most people’s price range but there’s no comparison to cheaper rods. I’m definitely not bashing people using more budget friendly rods, we’ve all been there. I always tell people that you don’t need expensive rods to catch fish of course but it sure makes it more enjoyable.

Oh yeah, that's what we need- more ppl on the water. I've fished my whole life- fished the same holes for years and years- now they're literally nothing but dead water because newbies descended upon them like the plague they are and literally fished them to death. That's not an exaggeration- they literally fished them out, there's nothing left. The state came out and closed the creek down until they can try and repair the damage done. Now those same "people" for lack of a better term- have turned their attention to the local river and are in the process of destroying it. During the summer here every bridge is literally parked out- no room to park anywhere near them- because of ppl kayaking. I used to go down the river 20-30 miles and never see a single person- now you don't lose sight of one person before you see another- someone is watching you at all times.
I realize this is great for ppl who work in the industry, they're making huge bank. I realize it's good for technology- the more ppl that buy stuff the more these companies feel they need to innovate and bring something new out. But- for the angler, this is a nightmare. The last thing I want to see is yet another boat at the ramp full of newbies who have no respect for others, no concept of fishing etiquette, and are usually drinking and before the days is over- drunk.

Good review. I’m from Cali gush saltwater for a living but when i’m not I fished fresh. I’ve tried these rods and they’re are nice esyfor the price point. I’ve had or fished so many different rids of all kinds low to high price they compare to a lot of good more pricey rods. I personally love Irod Genesis2 rods and they’re $150 rods. Great price great quality. Owner Matt Newman is a great guy that fishes both fresh and salt a lot so he test the rods very very hard. But same thing as googan love fishing and want to make quality gear for their customers. People hate on them for being different that simple. Not top notch tournament anglers is people biggest wank but so what there’s so many saltwater companies started by regular fisherman with huge success look at Seeker, Calstar, Sabre, and many others

Googan makes great products but to try and bash G. Loomis as to why they're expensive is completely ridiculous. Obviously you haven't got a clue about what G. Loomis is about if you say you don't know why they're priced that high and how they build their rods. I can guarantee you that Googan's most high end and most finesse rod doesn't weigh 3.28oz, have Fuji torzite and recoil guides, lifetime warranty, hand built with the highest quality control and made in Woodland, Washington. Oh wait, I just gave out a small bit of specs of my NRX. Nice try tho.

These rods are not exceptional. They exist purely due to marketing the Googan brand. You have much more range within the Lew's or Duckett rods. Don't get sucked into the hype guys and gals. Stay objective when spending your hard earned money. These guys are not pros with tons of experience. To draw an analogy; who would you rather have design your golf clubs? Tiger Woods or some successful youtuber that happens to make golf video content on an entertainment level? The answer is simple. Keep this in mind when spending cash you earned the hard way. Get the best tried and true product for your money. Good luck with your angling! Decent video, yet a tad biased.
