Loved this factual type video you have done here 💪 something different but still you have made it your own and i could watch even more of these, keep up the amazing work 💪💪
Excellent video. I've recently delved into the world of bass fishing and I'm absolutely obsessed, however when I tried to research the history of it and TH-cam came up short on that. It's cool to you Britt's doin some angling....somthin that I've actually wondered about lol
I've been bass fishing with lures only .. since I was 6 years old... it never gets old ..🤗.. and being able to use the best gear available at the time, .. definitely made casting a conventional reel much more enjoyable for the first time instead being handed a POS reel to learn on .... I feel very fortunate to have such nice gear back then ....I'm 64 now and I've been collecting vintage and unused Abu, Heddon, and Pfluger reels ... all the ones I learn to cast with....and they're beautiful...I will eventually use them but not before they get tuned and mags installed
What can one say? Yet another great vid from the boy's and so informative😉 Possibly all the better because Sean was'nt in it 😅 Seriously your both stars and I wish you all the best for the future.
Excellent video Tom, really interesting, and looking at that Neon Fire Fly with the 3 hooks, even Sean could possibly set one of them 😂 only kidding mate, he probably couldn’t! Keep up the awesome work guys, I love these videos 👌🏻
Just got back from a fruitless session on my local cut to find the postman had delivered my sb jig fly 😊(only ordered it 4 days ago). I'll be giving it a work out tomorrow morning just hope it lasts longer than my previous jig flies as both were lost to snags within minutes of clipping them on 😢
Loved it Tom! I feel like I'm your Mr Miyagi when it comes to delivery of history related content. 😂 Can you do a vid on the history of smelly breath? See you soon.
I've been researching this topic recently, and it's an incredible showcase of pre-industrial human ingenuity and nearly pathological problem-solving. I've been curious about the history of rod fishing since I was a child, and my lifelong presumptions around the material technology leading me to conclude that angling as we know it is a product of the industrial revolution, and that most people through pre-industrial history would have had precious little time and scarce material resources to advance the hobby beyond tying a line of sinew or animal gut with a hook and bait onto a tree limb. Nope, people have been psychotically and possibly self-destructively obsessed with fooling fish since the dawn of time. You know what? I'm glad I'm not alone. It feels good. It also has me realizing that angling/lure fishing is possibly the most ancient uninterrupted field of science, ever. Which is crazy to think about.
SnaggedBro become Izaak Walton, nice video boys as ever entertaining and funny the Top Gear of fishing lol. Do another video and go visit Izaak’s cottage in Stone it’s just up the road from you chaps it will bring you luck and reduce those blanks 🤔
I' see you use the IKE setup how much does the rod cast ? . and do u finde the reel fine casting this heavy lures ? .. Im asking bcs i'll use same reel in my perch setup I guess " casting 5-20 G " - Or are there diffrent types of the reel' can only finde it in 2 speed's . Keep Snagged !.
Yes mate love ya vids. How about a vid doing old lures vs new. Would be good to see lures in action in water to see how they swim. Cheers guys keep em coming and giving us fishers a laugh in these challenging times 👍👍👍. PS ya breath STINKS 🤮🤐😉
Bet you didn’t think you’d be spinning with Abu a year down the line in Amsterdam, that’s too good 🤣🎣 Love from Scotland 🏴 not much pike fishing here only rubbish commercial trout lakes so loving the vids ✅
Do a video on the history of canal lure Piking. Be interesting to see the catches and the styles used over the years. Regardless of my part in canal history it would be awesome to see what else has cropped up over the years
Another great Video Lads 👍 Really struggling on the canals around Wolves at the moment still, any advice or is it just the amount of rain and bad weather?
I don't see Abu lures at all in my area of America . I really like many of the lures I see available in the UK that I see often on British youtube channels but most of them are not available in America . Pike are not uncommon here in Pennsylvania but are generally disliked by anglers . I happen to love catching pike and pickerel .
In the late 1200's early 1300's eating meat was considered a sin. This was in the time of the Cistercian order as the monks spread across Britain building their monasteries. Because meat couldn't be eaten people were allowed to eat fish on certain days. This lead to a big increase in fish being imported from Europe. Tench were always sold and stocked with carp being as they were the Doctor fish and thought to have healing properties for other fish. Then it wasn't long before people were being sold predatory fish to keep their lakes and ponds in balance and to add a different tasting food. So in 1336 Augustine created the fish moving barrel. The more fish you had in your lakes the higher your stature. If you read up about the carp coming in from the Danube, you'll also find documents of pike perch etc all being sold and imported into England from the French markets. You can visit www.wildcarptrust.org for more details.
He should get a comedy show this guy funny and admits when having blanks instead of showing 20lb pike all time and the his partner just makes the package 👍😁👍 ya breath stinks 😅😅😅
Great video that .......fly fishing is older though , cave men accidentally threw a chicken in a river and a monster scotcheggasaursesox grabbed it , so that outdates the the goths with the spikey buildings 😁
