I think they should try make banners for the region specific characters(maybe same for their weapons) like one for monsthads characters,one for liyue characters and etc and maybe lock all them except monsthad first incase they couldn't get their accession materials and to unlock those banner you just need to unlock one the statue of the seven in their respected region
RedFlaim ,they can just make triple banner and up if they want Plus if they get add to standard or something it will be harder to get them since they are no longer limited because they are in a permanent banner,so no more rerun.
Tbh I like this idea to help with reruns. Instead of adding more standard banners they could just have a "super banner" during a more extended time for special region based events. And even better if they get added onto the event banner as 50/50 loss options during those times
Me too, ganyu is queen and while I wouldn’t be upset if I lost a future 50-50 to tighnari, right now I would rather use my guaranteed five star for ganyu

I feel like we’re ignoring the most important criterion here: what would motivate HoYo to add an existing limited character to the standard banner? Obviously, Tignari was added because he’s the first dendro character, and they want to provide permanent access to that element. However, we can’t really make a list of viable candidates without first knowing what purpose they are intended to serve.
The game has run for too long and the playerbase has plateau'd and we are at a point that the less popular characters are not making enough money to give them a banner Ofc it's a hypothetical situation
The sales of acquaint fates being low can be a possible reason and if they add older five stars in new standard it can give many new whales a chance to get them

I personally think there could potentially be one more 5 star added to the standard after tighnari and it will be a completely new character. so far the standard banner has a 5 star for every element minus dendro and geo. tighnari will obviously fill that vacant spot for dendro when he’s released which leaves geo as the only element not having a 5 star on the standard. so IF they were to add another 5 star character i think it would be a brand new geo wielder but i doubt they would be adding any more after that and this is if hoyoverse decide to add another at all
Its definitely interesting that the standard banner does not have a GEO 5 star. I personally think this is because Ningguang was originally supposed to be the 5 star Geo character and for some reason they moved her to 4 star. This is just speculation but there is some data to back the idea that Ningguang was originally designed as a 5 star.
I remember seeing a concept of regional-based banners. Not in terms of a character being put in a certain banner based on their home region, but based on where that character’s ascension material is located. So, for example, Shenhe would be put into an Inazuma-based standard banner instead of Liyue since her ascension material is in Enkanomiya. Same with Ganyu being put in Mondstadt’s banner, or Albedo being put in Liyue’s banner. It’s a good way for players to be able to pull for characters based on areas they’ve already unlocked, especially in the case of Inazuma, where the region is locked behind a quest and AR rank.
Now that Tignari is being added to the standard banner Geo is only element that going to be missing and Polearm being the missing weapon type (I seriously doubt that Hoyo will add Zhongli and get over with), so I really hope we get a new 5-star Geo Polearm soon and that they'd be added to the standard banner. 🤞🏻

I personally dont think Yoimiya and Yae Miko are good option since they needs Inazuma materials to level up and it take time to go there, Tighnari is put in because sumeru is connected to starting area by land and you can go there anytime.
Not to mention Fischl is a pretty easy 4 star grab who’s whole thing is off field electro application. Sure sometimes the gacha gods can screw you over, but most people should get at least her c0 early on (my own kryptonite is Bennett who I only have at c1 at AR 57).
i think its bc lisa, while obv a viable support for eula, only applies off field support via her burst which would need charging. and for fischl, perhaps its because shes more of single target and eula is more of aoe so theyre not a good fit? (assuming eula is aoe bc of her burst and claymore playstyle , let me know if this is wrong as i dont have nor know how to play eula much)
@@emopeterparker7 Eula can certainly do aoe damage, but I’d probably describe her as a more single target nuke who just happens to do damage to nearby enemies who get caught in the blast radius. The way her burst works doesn’t really synergize with other units who specialize in grouping enemies, and can only really reliably get the first hit of her burst onto a large group before they spread out again (which is fair, given that Eula’s final burst hit would be stupid if it could be consistently applied to like 10 enemies at once). For comparison Hu Tao’s Q and E hit hard almost as soon as she hits the field, so I consider her more of a group damage dealer just because she can better take advantage of Kazuha/Venti’s enemy grouping. Before Raiden, Fishcl was a pretty good pick for Eula teams, though yeah the problem of Oz targeting the wrong enemy was still there. Raiden is unquestionably a better option, but has the obvious downside of not exactly being F2P viable.

I was recently talking about this with a friend and I had a nearly exact banner idea (I put Shenhe instead of Eula), except I based my selections on “who made the least amount of money for hoyo” and “who’s the least popular of that element”.
@@NothingMeansNothingButNothing the joke was that if you were basing the banner off characters by element with limited banners with the least amount of sales, then for electro you’d get Keqing because for some reason she got her own limited banner while still being in standard and it obviously didn’t sell very well.
Personally, I would like that Mihoyoverse added a brand new polearm Geo 5-star character to the Wanderlust Invocation banner, just so we have every element with every weapon. :)
Seeing how hoyoverse has a habit of doing something (that would be expected of them to do again in the future) and then completely forgetting about said thing, I doubt we'll get another character in standard banner anytime soon or that its something that will become a trend. Tighnari was probably added to the standard banned because he's a dendro bow user, and while we don't have a Geo character in standard, its probably because at the moment, geo is just yellow physical damage.
I'd love to see Mihoyo implement rotating standard banners. Like there could be the original standard banner and then there could be several other standard banners with 5 5* characters that rotate with or alongside the original every patch or so. This would make rerunning characters easier since there are already so many 5*s with more to be added while still keeping them somewhat limited (which Mihoyo wants bc it makes them more money).
I really think this idea is the most likely to happen, but mihoyo still wants money at the end of the day so it could take years for them to even begin to think of this ☠
This idea probably won't happen because of the fact that the "Wanderlust Invocation" is marked as a permanent banner so the most likely thing to happen is that we just get a new/second standard banner all together so they don't get in trouble with laws & what not
i think it's better if they just make new characters for the standard banner like tighnari... i'm trying to slowly get high constellations on certain characters by pulling on their reruns every year, and i'd be heartbroken if suddenly they were on standard and there was no guaranteed way to get them lmao
I mean, they could always bring them to unique banners, as they did with Keqing. Imagine for example that for events related to festivities of a region the could bring several character banners that includes the ones that are already part of the standard banner. There are gacha games with fewer characters that release special "cards" near the birthday of certain characters. So they could also add a "Birthday Wish Banner", with a character being in a special banner a week before their birthday. They have endless ideas, but you know, greedy and money gets in the middle
Nope, she's hard to build and hard to play lol. Beginners without dodging skills and Bennet, Diona, Qiqi or Zhongli will keep dying non stop, and they may also waste her burst without even realizing. They should add easy dps characters instead of technical characters like Klee. I have her yet I still don't have her best 4star weapon even tho I'm ar 55. Plus I'm still suffering at the crimson domain(it will get way better after the 3.0 update tho). It also took me a day or two to get used to her move set while I literally got used to Hutao in 10 mins. So she is a great dps with potential but she is not f2p friendly, none of the craftable weapons suits her at this point and she in a niche one so nope, not basic or begginer friendly in my opinion.

@@evangreen4391 Klee is kinda complex to play for beginners though especially with her animation cancelling. She also has short range for a catalyst. I wouldn't mind her being in standard but she's not easy for beginners to use. Some will find her easy, I personally think she's okay but 4 of my friends I have to teach them how to use her properly.
4:02 it's not actually a 1/16 chance to get the character. There is some kind of "50/50" when it comes to weapons and characters in the standard banner in which it's something like every three 4*s or 5*s you are guaranteed to have one weapon and one character, either that or it's every 270 wishes for 5*s or 30 wishes for 4*s, I'm not sure which tbh. The point being that it's not an even pool between characters and weapons
The 50/50 thing will help predict which kind of 5-star or 4-star you’ll get on standard, but not a specific character or weapon. Like if you’re hoping for Stringless but get Favonius Sword. The probability is not 1/16, but boy is it still low. Plus the chance of getting constellations and refinements instead of a new standard.. I wouldn’t risk it
Honestly I don't think story importance 5 stars like Childe or even the Archons will ever be on standard banner due to 1) the harbingers are literally part of the main two enemy factors we are currently fighting 2) the archons are the best in game units who are connected to the overarching story in a big way from celestia to khaenri'ah
@@emptyallen3334 sure, us players know and can tell celestia is pretty bad but story wise the traveler only knows that the abyss and the fatui is the people doing the huge bad things so far. Main enemy Faction in Monstadt was the abyss, Lyiue it was the fatui, Inazuma it was a mixed of Raiden and the fatui. So far we seen nothing RECENT for the traveler in game to know celestia is the big baddie.

Dain quests revealing how Celestia destroyed Khaenri'ah and cursed their citizens to turn into self loathing monsters that eventually die. Zhongli being sussy telling Traveler why he can't tell him why they destroyed Khaenri'ah on his story quest. Raiden saying that she cut off her connection to Celestia, and many more.
@@emptyallen3334 but is there cutscenes or dialouge talking about those murals (mind you Dragonspine is not needed for the main line non event story quests), in both Dain quests all of traveler's attention was on the abyss/sibling, Zhongli just says that he can't talk about it due to his contract with celestia and traveler's question was mainly about what happened back then and if they knew of their sibling, and Ei just says that she severely her connection with celestia long ago aka her throwing away the gnosis and that she has no clue what happened back there 500 yrs ago as it was over when she came.

Although Dragonspine isn't included in any Archon Quests, it is still in Teyvat and Traveler would've explored there anyway so it technically is Canon to the story. Although Dainsleif quests' focus was the Abyss/Sibling, there are still dialouges of Dain talking about what Hilichurls are and we even focused on Khaenri'ah Royal Guards being the product of Celestia cursing them. Pretty much in the traveler's face If you read my comment, "Zhongli being sussy telling Traveler why he can't tell them" So yeah Zhongli alr told traveler abt the Contract with Celestia, it is blatantly obvious that he was silenced by Celestia through the Contract. Which is sussy nonetheless. (Because if someone made a contract to tell him in exchange for the info abt Khaenri'ah, he would likely agree which is big No-No to Celestia) Ei cut her connection with Celestia because of Makoto's death. She was given the Electro Gnosis right after and became the Electro Archon, but seeing that it was the one of last remaining things that her Sister (other than inazuma) , she refused to use said gnosis and gave it to Yae for safekeeping . or fir another reason that Ei never tells the traveler which makes Celestia sussy even without going to different evidences that aren't included in Archon Quests (Orobaxi, Enkanomiya, lore heavy books/items,) and generally exploration that points to this very obvious evidence that Celestia is sus.
The only fair way i see to introduce a new standard character is to notify players beforehand that this character is not exclusive - and that's what they made to tighnari. It's always better to inform players and let them spend wisely. Some customers pay, well, for EXCLUSIVITY of the exclusive character, something rare and not available anytime. Otherwise they wouldn't spend this much. I know how hard is to get a character from standard banner, but you have infinite time to try, while event banner lasts around 20 days and gone for year. That's why starter accounts with ganyu cost much more than starter qiqi.

I think its still fair since you dont have a guaranteed chance to get them. There isnt really any other ways since many 5 stars are coming and doing double and triple re-runs have their own flaws.
is he? i feel like i never had an issue with his skill uptime management, but i also use him on heart of depth and use the buff for that as an indicator of when i've been on him too long and need to swap out. and i leveled his normal attacks so i can just use him in whatever stance lol

The easiest Answer is Legality. Specifically Chinese laws on Advertising something as Limited time in Gacha, only to make it part of the Permanent banner. The only characters they'll add to the Standard Banner are new Characters. The only way Xiao or Albedo will get on a Permanent Banner is a completely separate new Banner specifically for them.
I feel like Hoyoverse has enough money to hire some Yanfei level lawyers to comb though the law and see how and where they might be able to put past 5 Star characters in the Standard banner.
They've done this in Honkai Impact. They've had multiple battle suits who were originally released as 'limited time', having their own supply, but were eventually added to Dorm supply, Honkai's permanent supply. The only difference is that Genshin has a much larger following and will probably be observed much more closely, so they may not be able to get away with it here.
@@infiniteaj8688 When you look at Honkai battle-suits in the fine print, it doesn’t say they’re limited. “Limited time” rate up is different from “limited character” which says “will not be added to ‘standard’ banner”. If you look at FGO, Evertale, Black Surge Night, etc, it defines limited character as “this character will not be added to standard banner” in their fine print. FGO added Tamamo to standard banner months after her debut in Halloween because it never said she was a limited character for example.
The only thing missed is the 5 star weapon set. The only 5 star weapon set on the standard banner is the Skyward set. Other than that we still don't have other set beside the region billet set
kinda confused here, what do you mean by ONLY skyward? my friend got primoridal winged jade spear on standard on their main and alt, (xiao didnt have a run then and i was watching them pull on discord, didnt see the alt but i did see them get it on standard) just a bit confused since i know the only all 5 star weapons that are there is skyward, not the jade set, (jadecutter, primoridal jade ect) but it is possible to get other 5 star weapons

I'd love for them to do a second wonderlust banner, but they'd also need to give high AR players more ways to get the blue fates😔 once you clear the trees and everything, you get a minuscule amount of them.
they should start adding blue fates as rewards for completing archon quests, or difficult-ish quests in general cause i'm sure many ran out of ways to get them other than monthly shop which is still off limits to those who are saving and don't have the stardust for it
First of all, I think your picks for a second permanent banner are pretty solid. I think just adding more Limited Banners per update is the way to go. So long as reruns occur more often than once a year, I would prefer that to having more than 7 characters that are extremely unlikely to get their own banner in the future. Keqing already set a precedent of that one Standard Banner character that never got her own banner after the first. Praying my lost 50:50 lands on Qiqi or Jean is already hard enough with 5 options, imagine there being 14 once there are 2 standard banners with 7 characters each. Now imagine there being a third or fourth standard banner. Imagine wanting to C6 a standard banner character. It would take either extreme luck or extreme whaling to do that.
Even without new characters, Mihoyo should definitely add some sort of epitomised path to the standard banner. There's a 1 in 15 chance to get what you want and that chance will be even slimmer if new characters are added
This was super interesting! Thanks for sharing. :') I think as time goes on, it would make sense for them to add another banner. To be honest, it even makes sense from a financial perspective. I believe players would be more likely to spend money for those kinds of fates (presumably acquaint fates) which they likely haven't been buying as of late.
Imagine if they added xiao to the standard banner, seems really unlikely tbh By that logic they would be adding hu tao and ganyu as well I mean it wouldn't make sense if the standard banner had stronger characters than most limited banners, unless it's just because they're older. In that case maybe eula and klee should be added first

honestly I love the 2nd standard banner you made, you put together strong characters of all different elements and weapons but also loveable characters! also I main xiao but only have him at c1 right now and it would be lot easier to c6 him if his banner wasnt limited as well as getting cons for my yae and yoimiya :)
i'm sad archons won't probably get added 😭my raiden is doomed to be c1 for an eternity now, but i seriously hope characters like tartag or xiao get added cause they have good cons and it would at least make spending blue fates more exciting
It's extremely unlikely, but if xiao gets added then the older charcaters like him will most likely be added as well, especially ganyu and hu tao. That would indeed make the standard banner much better.
I think Albedo basically belongs on the Standard Banner at this point. It needs a Geo 5* to round out the elements, he appears early in the story in Dragonspine, he's about on the same power level as Mona and Jean and is from Mondstadt so he wouldn't be too hard to build for new players.

Back in the early 2010s (2012 to 2014), complete gacha system was banned. The limited character system was created in response. Several games played limited FOMO card & put the characters into standard banner, cough "false advertisement" lawsuits. That got immediately regulated by the JP & CN governments.
I don't think adding already limited characters to the standard banner is a good idea. People saved and whaled for those limited characters and putting them in the standard banner would devalue them greatly and make the efforts of the people who saved for them and skipped other characters for them be in vain. The way they handle Tighnari is the correct approach. When they make new characters, they should just add some to the standard like Tighnari. Or make new character directly for the standard banner. Adding older already limited characters there is both a terrible and a great way to piss off fans enough so they start to protest. At the very least I know I'd be extremely furious of the characters I saved and skipped for would now just be common stuff that can spook me. Because then why the hell did I skip other characters for them then?
I don't think putting limited characters on the standard banner would devalue them, since Genshin isn't really a multiplayer game. There's not even any PvP, which makes comparing your account and characters to others pretty useless. If anything, it would be great for F2Ps or low spenders to not have to worry about saving primos within a time limit for these characters if they want them, and it would give them a chance to gain constellations for the ones they have, which F2Ps most likely don't.
@@rororo69 I actually see your point and I don't exactly meant monetary value, although if you ever want to sell you account, that too, but what I mean, it'd make the efford and dedication of old players who were there and saved for those banners cheaper. It's good and all to think of newcomers but, I don't think cateing to enwcomers soly is a good idea. because old players want to feel like their sweat and deciation to the game also means something in the long run.

Getting a 5 star in the standard took months and months and what, you get just a skyward pride? Yes, sure you can add more but do announce it prior like Tighnari. And your point of f2p dont have to worry about etc etc, if i think this in a long run, people wont be logging into genshin as much as they do rn, which ofc affects the developer's side as well since their monthly active players are reducing slowly. Which is why putting a time limit motivates players to log in and grind. idk these are my two cents.
@@nilou1841 that's heavily flawed logic, that people will just save and pull when they're on standard. Growing the standard pool is important as a standard for all gacha games. At that point, since standard banners are a free for all, it becomes even LESS likely to get the characters you want without a rate up. Literally all popular gacha games in existence do this and they still thrive, because their standard pools are so large that people greatly value rate ups as well anyway. Honkai did this exact thing of adding limited characters to standard after a year or two and it didn't make any of those characters less desirable or of value when they get rate ups again. The concept of paying for early access that only affects you and no one else is not new at all. This is something that occurs in other services too, but no one complains once that service is made available later on?? This really shouldn't be as bewildering as you people make it out to be.
It is literally illegal for them to put limited characters on standard. Because they stated they will be LIMITED. Idk how honkai does it but I know it's not the same.
I think having two standard banners would not be a good idea unless they're accessible on the limited banner if you lose the 50/50. But I think adding the Epitomized Path on the Standard Banner would be the best option. Also if they were to add anyone on the standard banner I feel like it should be a newer character and not one that's had a few reruns at least not until the later versions of the game.
Good speculation on the Wanderlust Invocation not being the only standard banner. But there's a potential problem that no one's going to roll on the Wanderlust Invocation 1. I can already imagine youtubers stating the obvious and bashing the first banner, like "DON'T THROW AWAY YOUR PRIMOGEMS!" as if it's a life or death situation and also bash on the characters on the banner. This may not be a huge problem, but I believe Hoyoverse's business strategy is making every single character marketable and never outdated. So I think they will buff the first standard banners more before the 2nd one is available. Because, even though RedFlaim tried to make the 2nd one not too OP, it's still a whole lot better than the first one. So I think they will buff the first one with either a really strong yet-unseen 7th character (it looks Tighnari is already a step in this direction, he may be really strong) or flat-out buff the old characters and weapons on the first one.
Well, I don't think it will be fair for ones who spent money to get them for them to be added into Standard Banner. One of the reasons why some, especially low spenders, top-up to get them/their cons is because they are limited event exclusive, who knows how long till they get another re-run. Those who spent money on the recent re-runs will surely be upset? Though, if there is a possibility, I think it will need an announcement long before it's implemented. Like at least one or two years before. Even so there might still be backlash. Imo it's better to create and add new characters in
Honestly, I'm pretty happy because I've promised myself to try to get c1 Hu Tao, Eula and her weapon. so now I don't have to think about trying to get Tighnari. Also I never even knew that there were gacha rules so that's fun to know

The odd one out on your alternate banner is Yae Miko. Everyone else is still Mondstadt/Liyue character. My personal opinion is, they might want to make standard banner for each area. I.e. Mondstadt banner, Liyue banner, Inazuma banner, Sumeru banner, etc. Not necessarily filled with 5-stars of each element or weapon type but rather giving you the choice depending on how far in the game did you get so far. Seriously, less 5-stars on the banner coming with higher chance to get either of them would count as an improvement.
oh boy it would be a dream come true if they added xiao to the standard banner. praying for another rerun of him soon, that man gives me so much serotonin. even though chances of being a standard character are extremely low, I can still hope, eh? tbh, it they were to add current five stars to any form of standard banner, I feel like they'd include the least popular or weakest characters, to minimalise any profit lost

Overall I agree with Tartaglia, Albedo and Xiao. But there is no way Yoimiya will claim Klee's spot, and I say this as someone who owns both, enjoys both but finds Yoimiya more fun. Klee's constellations are super valuable and should be allowed to be passively earned, and also Hoyo's marketing team as you discussed isn't very fond of Ms Naganohara, also no one will pull on a 4th Klee banner, where I see many pulling on a Yoimiya banner. Also Yoimiya is way too new and even in 5 years from now, Klee is still the more attractive option. Electro... Yea I think we omit electro, there's no need for 7 characters when the first standard is only gonna have 6. Also saying this as someone who finds Yae actually fun but doesn't own her personally. Cryo is a dilemma because they're all so pullable. But I would pick Ganyu over Eula, even though I own Eula and she is my second most played character (behind Hu Tao) and I don't own Ganyu (even though I effing love her). But Eula feels so outta place on a standard banner because she doesn't represent Cryo. Ganyu to me is Cryo, and Ayaka too new, Shenhe wouldn't even make sense. But yea so my banner tldr is Albedo, Ganyu, Xiao, Klee, Tartaglia, and I forgot to say that we should just have the next dendron character that isn't the archon.
Ye but the issue with Ganyu is that she’s too strong to be added. Her kit provides simplistic dmg that’s attainable at lower investment and that’s too strong for a standard character. and even tho childe faces this issue too it balances out with certain skill cost as well as higher necessary investment. As for Eula. I would argue that her disposition as a high skill requirement character as well as her RNG aspect balance it out until later cons, also I would believe that Eula being physical would be a unique trait that incentivises her addiction as we don’t get many of those.

Personally, I think characters like Klee, Childe, and Albedo should go to a standard banner given they’re quite old but they’re great for starting players since they’ll be able to get their materials and boss quite easily. Plus their passives are super helpful early game given a lot of 4 stars have expedition talents.
Since the original Standard banner would only be missing a Geo character once Tighnari get's added, it would make sense that any further Standard banners being added would be missing 1 random element. Since the current Anemo 5 star list is limited and also on a higher tier than other elements, I feel like Anemo would be left out of the second Standard banner if one were to be made, giving them time to enlarge the Anemo 5 star list. Klee def has priority over Yoimiya on the "2nd" standard banner as well because while Yoimiya may have her faults, she is a very good ranged DPS and Klee is just lack luster at best...sorry.
Tbh how much I think Klee would be better for standard banner Shes way too clunky to be added for me Klee has high dmg but she demands skillful playing and I just dont think she should be on the banner

@@lynnd4221 you also should consider the region! Last time HOYO updated the standard banner, they also added characters form the new region and without yoimiya there would no representative of Inazuma, which would be the only region missing.
Klee should probably get priority just because for new players (the ones with the most standard wishes) she isn’t Inazuma-locked like Yoimiya in terms of ascension materials. I also just feel like she’s a pretty great early game character, even if her damage output becomes sub-optimal at higher levels. Also all new players get a pyro bow at the very start with Amber, so type-weapon variations in the early game would work better.
Inazuma wont be in the standard imo, mainly because new player needs to play 2 chapter of Archon quest to unlock even the first ascension upgrade. Unless there's a 4* test run that has the same region speciality items
idk if u know this but reruns exist and so far every character has had a rerun or reruns so that ppl can get a specific character except for yae ayato and yelan shenhe etc cuz they came out this year. after 3.0 there might be ppl who still want zhongli kokomi or ganyu so they can wait for their rerun but ofc the number of characters will increase so the better solutions is to have more reruns at the same like 4-5 banners at the same. the only thing u would have to decide is which character u want to prioritize getting forst and which characters rerun u want to wait for. this will be zhonglis 4th rerun and it obviously doesnt look like it will be his last. the characters are the reason ppl play the game and they should be able to play with the characters they want for themselves
they still can't do that. First your point of wanderlust being a standard banner doesn't make sense since in the description it clearly says THE standard banner, second you blatantly ignored the fact that the description still said the character is event limited, they cannot stop being event limited aka permanent.
They should do something like that eventually because if the point of the game is that there are over 30+ characters that are not in the normal banner, people will start to actively beg them to add them in the banner, you know how the community reacts to things
I think the first event banners that were rerun twice or more will be add to the Standard Banner. like Venti, Klee, Tartaglia, Zhongli, Xiao, Ganyu etc. And don't forget about the weapons like Summit Shaper, Vortex Vanquisher, The Unforged, Memory of Dust.
i wish kokomi would be added shes a pretty much straight forward character that is relatively newbie friendly, getting more people interested, giving a reason to play (unlock inazuma so that you can upgrade fish girl), and maybe even get money from that player as they spend it on banners
Terrible idea. Imagine getting Kokomi on the start of the game just to get her to level 20 and basically her being useless in Liyue. And that would make new players rush to get to Inozuma and just make game less enjoyable for them overall
yeah, IMO they should add Chongyun and Sucrose to the normal rotation (the only beginner-banner/tutorial 4*'s who aren't in the rotation), and add a third slot for 1 Standard 5* that just cycles through the list each month for 100 Star-glitter.
Honestly I was expecting that we'd have one of each element and from each region in terms of 4stars and 5stars as permanent characters So I was expecting maybe like 1 new standard 5star from each region, but that didn't happen when Inazuma finally came out after a year of waiting, but! It finally happened with tighnari, I hope they add more standard 5stars because having most of them being limited can be really annoying if you miss out on one then have to wait for a rerun

I’ve been playing since 25th if October 2020 and haven’t missed a single day of playing since early January 2021. I got my first Qiqi after a long ritual for her on the 1st of may 2022. She was my 40th five star. That’s why I pulled for Tighnari
you have to realise that the standard banner is split equally for support and dps: Support: Jean, Mona, Qiqi DPS: Diluc, Keqing, Tighnari whereas in your view of a future standard banner includes 2 supports: Yae Miko, Albedo 4 DPS: Yoimiya, Childe, Eula, Xiao and baizhu which we dont know about
Adding characters could work if MiHoYo going to make a new Geo character who would be on the Standard Banner like Tighnari. Legally, it would make sense. Location-based banners would work so that characters who aren’t popular have multiple ways to be obtained and still have their advertised exclusivity. Basically, an exclusive Standard Banner
The more characters they put in standard banner the harder to get the one you want, I got Tignari now because I want him now and he's C2 , I'm not worried about, I may never get another copy and maybe I will get c6 but by that time it won't matter, I'm already using dendro bow for puzzles and way better quality of life. I've said it a few times, but I believe that updating the standard banner or giving players a second standard banner would be beneficial. The roster of 5 stars could be the 1.0 to 1.6 limited banner characters, as some were originally released up to nearly 2 years ago. Considering that there are also version 2 (2.0 to 2.8) characters who've only had 1 run, additional reruns could be helpful. Your list was very insightful though, with keeping chase characters still chase (archons and powerful units). I like it.
If the character becomes significantly larger they might as well do a weekly limited banner that rotates 2 5-star characters and you get to pick which one to go for like the current weapon banner
If they were to make more standard banner they should definitely place a optimized path feature like the weapon weapon along with the original standard banner
Yknow, your banner is actually kinda cool, like I would pull there, I need those Childe cons and besides him I only have Xiao and Yoimiya, so like I would pull there (possibility of a new chara) rather than pulling in the og standard banner (possibility of getting a cons of a character I dont use, the only one I actually use from those as of now is Mona and only cuz I got her recently and I'm levelling her up)
no i think they should make new characters and market them as standard characters if they r going to the standard banner. its not rlly fair to have limited characters available at all times mihoyo cant rlly do that if the characters are marketed as event exclusive and as the characters keep coming they might even have to do three or more banners running at the same time to get through reruns. after all ppl only spent primos on the characters they want so its also pointless to get a new standard banner if character reruns already exist and are much easier to get the limited characters on. like if the limited characters get added to the standard banner some ppl might never get a specific character that they want but some ppl were able to get that specific character when they were limited. it just wouldnt make sense
4:04 I think this is false? I might be wrong, but iirc you have a 50-50 chance between weapons and characters. Therefore, it's a 1 in 12 chance as there is a 50% chance of getting a character and a 1 in 6 chance that if you do get a character, it is Tighnari.
i just want albedo on standard. we alr have his BiS for free (well, from the event) and standard is missing geo while with dendro having one 5 star of all other elements (but yeah he can’t be on our current standard :( i am interested in the “add ability to lose 50/50s to them” workaround) edit: lmao albedo was mentioned immediately
man, i have done it once again. i was one of the people that pulled for keqing on her banner out of fun and got her. and now, once again, i wished for tighnari and hid hard pity but got him without knowing he will be one of the characters. sad but its good that we finally got a second standard banner. the poor people that lost so many 50/50s on the same characters.
To balance things out, they could put the requirements for pulling in this banner is by only using stardust and starglitter instead of primos. This way, even when you have the worst luck as a whale, you still get the chance to pull slightly worth it characters, with path of epitome to choose which character or weapon you want. In addition, the 3 star pulls will be resources instead of useless weapons for fodders only
I'm happy that Tighnari is gonna be added to the Standard banner as we will need Dendro in the future but I wish they would add a Geo 5* on the standard banner, cause that's the only element missing lol. If any 5 stars are added to the standard banner (or a new standard banner) it will probably done similarly to Honkai Impact 3rd. New battlesuits that are currently "meta" in Honkai do not end up on the Standard banner right away (such as Platinus Equinox, HoHE, HoF)... but if they have been out for a while they are added to the pool. A good example is Herscher of Thunder-- who only got into dorm supply after 2 years and MANY re-runs. And even being in dorm supply, she still gets re-runs since she is so popular and still a really good character to play as. Another thing that Honkai does that may become a thing-- in a similar vein--- would be taking one of the launch 5 stars in the standard banner and making them a permanent 5 star for new accounts-- much like how Herrscher of The Void is a newcomer 5 star. This only works with characters that are victims of Power-Creep though-- and if that happens it may not be until a few more regions are available.... While it would be interesting to release a new 5 star character on a 2nd standard banner, I don't think it's likely- since it would be one less limited banner they can run. It makes more sense to me for them to run a 2nd banner for 5 stars that didn't perform as well on both initial run and rerun.... with one or two 5 stars that were popular but may be power-creeped a bit; or maybe the sales for the re run weren't as good as the first runs sales. That would give players a separate pool for those characters so they can try getting then without risking their pity being broken on the limited banners
This was a great video. I think that there are 2 extra factors worth considering: ease of use, and role diversity. As it stands the hardest character to use in the standard banner is Mona but in this new banner you get Childe which is arguably the hardest character in the whole game. On top of that the current banner has 2 main dps, 2 healers, and a sub dps. Compare that to this banner which has 4 main dps, and 2 sub dps. If you’re new to the game healing is more valuable as your skill level isn’t high yet and you have less damage overall so a 5* healer could prove to be more valuable in the short term especially when you consider the free options are Barbara and Noelle.
1:42 i remember they did a similar thing on khux where they made banners with no mercy (having gone years without doing no mercy bannners) and after huge backlash they removed the banners and replaced them with a 10 (10 pull) mercy, with it getting cheaper every time to 1900 jewels from 3000. Everyone who pulled kept their medals and got their jewels back. I was one of those players. And I got the medal too.
I remember hearing a while ago that after a limited 5 star has had 3 reruns they would be added to the standard banner but that was a while ago and I completely forgot where I heard it but just wanted to point this idea out lol.
Tartaglia, Klee, Eula are my most likely picks, while Albedo and Shenhe would be questionable but slightly likely. For Inazuma characters the banner will have to be added further in the future since they are still relatively new, but my list would be Itto, Ayato, yoimiya and Yae.
Cryo electro hydro pyro anemo dendro The last one missing is geo; which means there is a high chance that albedo goes into standard banner (considering how long is a rerun taking, and the known degree and damage)
I will want to pull on the 2nd wanderlust invocation that you made cuz really, i want all of the characters including baizhu because while i have xiao, albedo, and yae (all c0) already and was saving for childe rerun, these characters are actually pretty neat and if you build them right, they can be serious damage dealer that doesnt need constellation that much to perform well but acquiring their cons would also make a very good booster especially xiao

I think they should try make banners for the region specific characters(maybe same for their weapons) like one for monsthads characters,one for liyue characters and etc and maybe lock all them except monsthad first incase they couldn't get their accession materials and to unlock those banner you just need to unlock one the statue of the seven in their respected region

I feel like we’re ignoring the most important criterion here: what would motivate HoYo to add an existing limited character to the standard banner? Obviously, Tignari was added because he’s the first dendro character, and they want to provide permanent access to that element. However, we can’t really make a list of viable candidates without first knowing what purpose they are intended to serve.
The game has run for too long and the playerbase has plateau'd and we are at a point that the less popular characters are not making enough money to give them a banner

I personally think there could potentially be one more 5 star added to the standard after tighnari and it will be a completely new character. so far the standard banner has a 5 star for every element minus dendro and geo. tighnari will obviously fill that vacant spot for dendro when he’s released which leaves geo as the only element not having a 5 star on the standard. so IF they were to add another 5 star character i think it would be a brand new geo wielder but i doubt they would be adding any more after that and this is if hoyoverse decide to add another at all

Its definitely interesting that the standard banner does not have a GEO 5 star. I personally think this is because Ningguang was originally supposed to be the 5 star Geo character and for some reason they moved her to 4 star. This is just speculation but there is some data to back the idea that Ningguang was originally designed as a 5 star.
I remember seeing a concept of regional-based banners. Not in terms of a character being put in a certain banner based on their home region, but based on where that character’s ascension material is located.
So, for example, Shenhe would be put into an Inazuma-based standard banner instead of Liyue since her ascension material is in Enkanomiya. Same with Ganyu being put in Mondstadt’s banner, or Albedo being put in Liyue’s banner.
It’s a good way for players to be able to pull for characters based on areas they’ve already unlocked, especially in the case of Inazuma, where the region is locked behind a quest and AR rank.

I personally dont think Yoimiya and Yae Miko are good option since they needs Inazuma materials to level up and it take time to go there, Tighnari is put in because sumeru is connected to starting area by land and you can go there anytime.

Not to mention Fischl is a pretty easy 4 star grab who’s whole thing is off field electro application. Sure sometimes the gacha gods can screw you over, but most people should get at least her c0 early on (my own kryptonite is Bennett who I only have at c1 at AR 57).
i think its bc lisa, while obv a viable support for eula, only applies off field support via her burst which would need charging. and for fischl, perhaps its because shes more of single target and eula is more of aoe so theyre not a good fit? (assuming eula is aoe bc of her burst and claymore playstyle , let me know if this is wrong as i dont have nor know how to play eula much)
@@emopeterparker7 Eula can certainly do aoe damage, but I’d probably describe her as a more single target nuke who just happens to do damage to nearby enemies who get caught in the blast radius. The way her burst works doesn’t really synergize with other units who specialize in grouping enemies, and can only really reliably get the first hit of her burst onto a large group before they spread out again (which is fair, given that Eula’s final burst hit would be stupid if it could be consistently applied to like 10 enemies at once). For comparison Hu Tao’s Q and E hit hard almost as soon as she hits the field, so I consider her more of a group damage dealer just because she can better take advantage of Kazuha/Venti’s enemy grouping.
Before Raiden, Fishcl was a pretty good pick for Eula teams, though yeah the problem of Oz targeting the wrong enemy was still there. Raiden is unquestionably a better option, but has the obvious downside of not exactly being F2P viable.

I was recently talking about this with a friend and I had a nearly exact banner idea (I put Shenhe instead of Eula), except I based my selections on “who made the least amount of money for hoyo” and “who’s the least popular of that element”.

Tighnari was probably added to the standard banned because he's a dendro bow user, and while we don't have a Geo character in standard, its probably because at the moment, geo is just yellow physical damage.

I'd love to see Mihoyo implement rotating standard banners. Like there could be the original standard banner and then there could be several other standard banners with 5 5* characters that rotate with or alongside the original every patch or so. This would make rerunning characters easier since there are already so many 5*s with more to be added while still keeping them somewhat limited (which Mihoyo wants bc it makes them more money).
I really think this idea is the most likely to happen, but mihoyo still wants money at the end of the day so it could take years for them to even begin to think of this ☠
This idea probably won't happen because of the fact that the "Wanderlust Invocation" is marked as a permanent banner so the most likely thing to happen is that we just get a new/second standard banner all together so they don't get in trouble with laws & what not

I mean, they could always bring them to unique banners, as they did with Keqing. Imagine for example that for events related to festivities of a region the could bring several character banners that includes the ones that are already part of the standard banner. There are gacha games with fewer characters that release special "cards" near the birthday of certain characters. So they could also add a "Birthday Wish Banner", with a character being in a special banner a week before their birthday. They have endless ideas, but you know, greedy and money gets in the middle

Nope, she's hard to build and hard to play lol. Beginners without dodging skills and Bennet, Diona, Qiqi or Zhongli will keep dying non stop, and they may also waste her burst without even realizing. They should add easy dps characters instead of technical characters like Klee. I have her yet I still don't have her best 4star weapon even tho I'm ar 55. Plus I'm still suffering at the crimson domain(it will get way better after the 3.0 update tho). It also took me a day or two to get used to her move set while I literally got used to Hutao in 10 mins. So she is a great dps with potential but she is not f2p friendly, none of the craftable weapons suits her at this point and she in a niche one so nope, not basic or begginer friendly in my opinion.

@@evangreen4391 Klee is kinda complex to play for beginners though especially with her animation cancelling. She also has short range for a catalyst. I wouldn't mind her being in standard but she's not easy for beginners to use. Some will find her easy, I personally think she's okay but 4 of my friends I have to teach them how to use her properly.
4:02 it's not actually a 1/16 chance to get the character. There is some kind of "50/50" when it comes to weapons and characters in the standard banner in which it's something like every three 4*s or 5*s you are guaranteed to have one weapon and one character, either that or it's every 270 wishes for 5*s or 30 wishes for 4*s, I'm not sure which tbh. The point being that it's not an even pool between characters and weapons
are you referring to the fact that the standard banner has a hidden system where you are guaranteed a 5* weapon after 2 5* characters and vice versa
The 50/50 thing will help predict which kind of 5-star or 4-star you’ll get on standard, but not a specific character or weapon. Like if you’re hoping for Stringless but get Favonius Sword. The probability is not 1/16, but boy is it still low. Plus the chance of getting constellations and refinements instead of a new standard.. I wouldn’t risk it
Honestly I don't think story importance 5 stars like Childe or even the Archons will ever be on standard banner due to 1) the harbingers are literally part of the main two enemy factors we are currently fighting 2) the archons are the best in game units who are connected to the overarching story in a big way from celestia to khaenri'ah

Main enemy Faction in Monstadt was the abyss, Lyiue it was the fatui, Inazuma it was a mixed of Raiden and the fatui. So far we seen nothing RECENT for the traveler in game to know celestia is the big baddie.

Although Dragonspine isn't included in any Archon Quests, it is still in Teyvat and Traveler would've explored there anyway so it technically is Canon to the story.
Although Dainsleif quests' focus was the Abyss/Sibling, there are still dialouges of Dain talking about what Hilichurls are and we even focused on Khaenri'ah Royal Guards being the product of Celestia cursing them.

Ei cut her connection with Celestia because of Makoto's death. She was given the Electro Gnosis right after and became the Electro Archon, but seeing that it was the one of last remaining things that her Sister (other than inazuma) , she refused to use said gnosis and gave it to Yae for safekeeping .

The only fair way i see to introduce a new standard character is to notify players beforehand that this character is not exclusive - and that's what they made to tighnari. It's always better to inform players and let them spend wisely. Some customers pay, well, for EXCLUSIVITY of the exclusive character, something rare and not available anytime. Otherwise they wouldn't spend this much. I know how hard is to get a character from standard banner, but you have infinite time to try, while event banner lasts around 20 days and gone for year. That's why starter accounts with ganyu cost much more than starter qiqi.
And also legal system is not so dumb, and it's always better to make yourself safe and don't make people mad about money they spend on your game duh

I think its still fair since you dont have a guaranteed chance to get them. There isnt really any other ways since many 5 stars are coming and doing double and triple re-runs have their own flaws.

The easiest Answer is Legality. Specifically Chinese laws on Advertising something as Limited time in Gacha, only to make it part of the Permanent banner.
The only characters they'll add to the Standard Banner are new Characters.
The only way Xiao or Albedo will get on a Permanent Banner is a completely separate new Banner specifically for them.

I feel like Hoyoverse has enough money to hire some Yanfei level lawyers to comb though the law and see how and where they might be able to put past 5 Star characters in the Standard banner.
They've done this in Honkai Impact. They've had multiple battle suits who were originally released as 'limited time', having their own supply, but were eventually added to Dorm supply, Honkai's permanent supply. The only difference is that Genshin has a much larger following and will probably be observed much more closely, so they may not be able to get away with it here.

If you look at FGO, Evertale, Black Surge Night, etc, it defines limited character as “this character will not be added to standard banner” in their fine print. FGO added Tamamo to standard banner months after her debut in Halloween because it never said she was a limited character for example.
The only thing missed is the 5 star weapon set. The only 5 star weapon set on the standard banner is the Skyward set. Other than that we still don't have other set beside the region billet set

I'd love for them to do a second wonderlust banner, but they'd also need to give high AR players more ways to get the blue fates😔 once you clear the trees and everything, you get a minuscule amount of them.
they should start adding blue fates as rewards for completing archon quests, or difficult-ish quests in general cause i'm sure many ran out of ways to get them other than monthly shop which is still off limits to those who are saving and don't have the stardust for it
First of all, I think your picks for a second permanent banner are pretty solid.
I think just adding more Limited Banners per update is the way to go. So long as reruns occur more often than once a year, I would prefer that to having more than 7 characters that are extremely unlikely to get their own banner in the future. Keqing already set a precedent of that one Standard Banner character that never got her own banner after the first.
Praying my lost 50:50 lands on Qiqi or Jean is already hard enough with 5 options, imagine there being 14 once there are 2 standard banners with 7 characters each. Now imagine there being a third or fourth standard banner.
Imagine wanting to C6 a standard banner character. It would take either extreme luck or extreme whaling to do that.

Even without new characters, Mihoyo should definitely add some sort of epitomised path to the standard banner. There's a 1 in 15 chance to get what you want and that chance will be even slimmer if new characters are added

I believe players would be more likely to spend money for those kinds of fates (presumably acquaint fates) which they likely haven't been buying as of late.

It's extremely unlikely, but if xiao gets added then the older charcaters like him will most likely be added as well, especially ganyu and hu tao. That would indeed make the standard banner much better.
I think Albedo basically belongs on the Standard Banner at this point. It needs a Geo 5* to round out the elements, he appears early in the story in Dragonspine, he's about on the same power level as Mona and Jean and is from Mondstadt so he wouldn't be too hard to build for new players.
at this point albedo is more of a seasonal character appearing every december and giving you a free sword (so basically santa lol)

Back in the early 2010s (2012 to 2014), complete gacha system was banned. The limited character system was created in response. Several games played limited FOMO card & put the characters into standard banner, cough "false advertisement" lawsuits. That got immediately regulated by the JP & CN governments.

I don't think adding already limited characters to the standard banner is a good idea. People saved and whaled for those limited characters and putting them in the standard banner would devalue them greatly and make the efforts of the people who saved for them and skipped other characters for them be in vain.
The way they handle Tighnari is the correct approach. When they make new characters, they should just add some to the standard like Tighnari. Or make new character directly for the standard banner.
Adding older already limited characters there is both a terrible and a great way to piss off fans enough so they start to protest.
At the very least I know I'd be extremely furious of the characters I saved and skipped for would now just be common stuff that can spook me. Because then why the hell did I skip other characters for them then?
I don't think putting limited characters on the standard banner would devalue them, since Genshin isn't really a multiplayer game. There's not even any PvP, which makes comparing your account and characters to others pretty useless. If anything, it would be great for F2Ps or low spenders to not have to worry about saving primos within a time limit for these characters if they want them, and it would give them a chance to gain constellations for the ones they have, which F2Ps most likely don't.

@@nilou1841 that's heavily flawed logic, that people will just save and pull when they're on standard. Growing the standard pool is important as a standard for all gacha games. At that point, since standard banners are a free for all, it becomes even LESS likely to get the characters you want without a rate up.
Literally all popular gacha games in existence do this and they still thrive, because their standard pools are so large that people greatly value rate ups as well anyway. Honkai did this exact thing of adding limited characters to standard after a year or two and it didn't make any of those characters less desirable or of value when they get rate ups again.
The concept of paying for early access that only affects you and no one else is not new at all. This is something that occurs in other services too, but no one complains once that service is made available later on?? This really shouldn't be as bewildering as you people make it out to be.

I'm only a minute into the video but I just wanted to mention how good and genuine your content is and the work you put in it pays off
I think having two standard banners would not be a good idea unless they're accessible on the limited banner if you lose the 50/50. But I think adding the Epitomized Path on the Standard Banner would be the best option. Also if they were to add anyone on the standard banner I feel like it should be a newer character and not one that's had a few reruns at least not until the later versions of the game.
Good speculation on the Wanderlust Invocation not being the only standard banner.
But there's a potential problem that no one's going to roll on the Wanderlust Invocation 1. I can already imagine youtubers stating the obvious and bashing the first banner, like "DON'T THROW AWAY YOUR PRIMOGEMS!" as if it's a life or death situation and also bash on the characters on the banner. This may not be a huge problem, but I believe Hoyoverse's business strategy is making every single character marketable and never outdated.
So I think they will buff the first standard banners more before the 2nd one is available. Because, even though RedFlaim tried to make the 2nd one not too OP, it's still a whole lot better than the first one. So I think they will buff the first one with either a really strong yet-unseen 7th character (it looks Tighnari is already a step in this direction, he may be really strong) or flat-out buff the old characters and weapons on the first one.
Well, I don't think it will be fair for ones who spent money to get them for them to be added into Standard Banner. One of the reasons why some, especially low spenders, top-up to get them/their cons is because they are limited event exclusive, who knows how long till they get another re-run. Those who spent money on the recent re-runs will surely be upset? Though, if there is a possibility, I think it will need an announcement long before it's implemented. Like at least one or two years before. Even so there might still be backlash. Imo it's better to create and add new characters in
Honestly, I'm pretty happy because I've promised myself to try to get c1 Hu Tao, Eula and her weapon. so now I don't have to think about trying to get Tighnari. Also I never even knew that there were gacha rules so that's fun to know

The odd one out on your alternate banner is Yae Miko. Everyone else is still Mondstadt/Liyue character.
My personal opinion is, they might want to make standard banner for each area. I.e. Mondstadt banner, Liyue banner, Inazuma banner, Sumeru banner, etc. Not necessarily filled with 5-stars of each element or weapon type but rather giving you the choice depending on how far in the game did you get so far. Seriously, less 5-stars on the banner coming with higher chance to get either of them would count as an improvement.

But there is no way Yoimiya will claim Klee's spot, and I say this as someone who owns both, enjoys both but finds Yoimiya more fun.
Klee's constellations are super valuable and should be allowed to be passively earned, and also Hoyo's marketing team as you discussed isn't very fond of Ms Naganohara, also no one will pull on a 4th Klee banner, where I see many pulling on a Yoimiya banner. Also Yoimiya is way too new and even in 5 years from now, Klee is still the more attractive option.
Electro... Yea I think we omit electro, there's no need for 7 characters when the first standard is only gonna have 6. Also saying this as someone who finds Yae actually fun but doesn't own her personally.
Cryo is a dilemma because they're all so pullable. But I would pick Ganyu over Eula, even though I own Eula and she is my second most played character (behind Hu Tao) and I don't own Ganyu (even though I effing love her). But Eula feels so outta place on a standard banner because she doesn't represent Cryo. Ganyu to me is Cryo, and Ayaka too new, Shenhe wouldn't even make sense.
But yea so my banner tldr is Albedo, Ganyu, Xiao, Klee, Tartaglia, and I forgot to say that we should just have the next dendron character that isn't the archon.

I think Shenhe would make sense. It could lead to a new player being encouraged to pull for a Cyro dps.
Ye but the issue with Ganyu is that she’s too strong to be added. Her kit provides simplistic dmg that’s attainable at lower investment and that’s too strong for a standard character. and even tho childe faces this issue too it balances out with certain skill cost as well as higher necessary investment.
As for Eula. I would argue that her disposition as a high skill requirement character as well as her RNG aspect balance it out until later cons, also I would believe that Eula being physical would be a unique trait that incentivises her addiction as we don’t get many of those.
Ganyu's way too valuable to even be in the standard so you'd have to think of someone else

Personally, I think characters like Klee, Childe, and Albedo should go to a standard banner given they’re quite old but they’re great for starting players since they’ll be able to get their materials and boss quite easily. Plus their passives are super helpful early game given a lot of 4 stars have expedition talents.

Since the original Standard banner would only be missing a Geo character once Tighnari get's added, it would make sense that any further Standard banners being added would be missing 1 random element. Since the current Anemo 5 star list is limited and also on a higher tier than other elements, I feel like Anemo would be left out of the second Standard banner if one were to be made, giving them time to enlarge the Anemo 5 star list. Klee def has priority over Yoimiya on the "2nd" standard banner as well because while Yoimiya may have her faults, she is a very good ranged DPS and Klee is just lack luster at best...sorry.

@@lynnd4221 you also should consider the region! Last time HOYO updated the standard banner, they also added characters form the new region and without yoimiya there would no representative of Inazuma, which would be the only region missing.
Klee should probably get priority just because for new players (the ones with the most standard wishes) she isn’t Inazuma-locked like Yoimiya in terms of ascension materials. I also just feel like she’s a pretty great early game character, even if her damage output becomes sub-optimal at higher levels. Also all new players get a pyro bow at the very start with Amber, so type-weapon variations in the early game would work better.
Inazuma wont be in the standard imo, mainly because new player needs to play 2 chapter of Archon quest to unlock even the first ascension upgrade.

Having Albedo on standart banner is not a bad idea. Or releasing a new 5 geo character for it would be nice
idk if u know this but reruns exist and so far every character has had a rerun or reruns so that ppl can get a specific character except for yae ayato and yelan shenhe etc cuz they came out this year. after 3.0 there might be ppl who still want zhongli kokomi or ganyu so they can wait for their rerun but ofc the number of characters will increase so the better solutions is to have more reruns at the same like 4-5 banners at the same. the only thing u would have to decide is which character u want to prioritize getting forst and which characters rerun u want to wait for. this will be zhonglis 4th rerun and it obviously doesnt look like it will be his last. the characters are the reason ppl play the game and they should be able to play with the characters they want for themselves

First your point of wanderlust being a standard banner doesn't make sense since in the description it clearly says THE standard banner, second you blatantly ignored the fact that the description still said the character is event limited, they cannot stop being event limited aka permanent.

Terrible idea. Imagine getting Kokomi on the start of the game just to get her to level 20 and basically her being useless in Liyue. And that would make new players rush to get to Inozuma and just make game less enjoyable for them overall

yeah, IMO they should add Chongyun and Sucrose to the normal rotation (the only beginner-banner/tutorial 4*'s who aren't in the rotation), and add a third slot for 1 Standard 5* that just cycles through the list each month for 100 Star-glitter.
I hope that all the limited 5 stars characters should have a turn to rerun again cause like the new players may want it
Honestly I was expecting that we'd have one of each element and from each region in terms of 4stars and 5stars as permanent characters
So I was expecting maybe like 1 new standard 5star from each region, but that didn't happen when Inazuma finally came out after a year of waiting, but! It finally happened with tighnari, I hope they add more standard 5stars because having most of them being limited can be really annoying if you miss out on one then have to wait for a rerun
esp with limiteds in popular demand like kazuha or ganyu genuinely taking a whole year to get reruns
@@Redheart709 yeah I was thinking of kazuha when typing that last part, tho I already had him from his first banner, many ppl missed out on him who started playing after he came out or couldn't get him the first time and I can understand their frustration
I’ve been playing since 25th if October 2020 and haven’t missed a single day of playing since early January 2021. I got my first Qiqi after a long ritual for her on the 1st of may 2022. She was my 40th five star. That’s why I pulled for Tighnari
you have to realise that the standard banner is split equally for support and dps:
Support: Jean, Mona, Qiqi
DPS: Diluc, Keqing, Tighnari
whereas in your view of a future standard banner includes
2 supports: Yae Miko, Albedo
4 DPS: Yoimiya, Childe, Eula, Xiao
and baizhu which we dont know about
I don't think there's supposed to be a pattern, it was 3 supports 2 dps for the past 2 years
Adding characters could work if MiHoYo going to make a new Geo character who would be on the Standard Banner like Tighnari. Legally, it would make sense. Location-based banners would work so that characters who aren’t popular have multiple ways to be obtained and still have their advertised exclusivity. Basically, an exclusive Standard Banner

The more characters they put in standard banner the harder to get the one you want, I got Tignari now because I want him now and he's C2 , I'm not worried about, I may never get another copy and maybe I will get c6 but by that time it won't matter, I'm already using dendro bow for puzzles and way better quality of life. I've said it a few times, but I believe that updating the standard banner or giving players a second standard banner would be beneficial. The roster of 5 stars could be the 1.0 to 1.6 limited banner characters, as some were originally released up to nearly 2 years ago. Considering that there are also version 2 (2.0 to 2.8) characters who've only had 1 run, additional reruns could be helpful. Your list was very insightful though, with keeping chase characters still chase (archons and powerful units). I like it.
If the character becomes significantly larger they might as well do a weekly limited banner that rotates 2 5-star characters and you get to pick which one to go for like the current weapon banner

Yknow, your banner is actually kinda cool, like I would pull there, I need those Childe cons and besides him I only have Xiao and Yoimiya, so like I would pull there (possibility of a new chara) rather than pulling in the og standard banner (possibility of getting a cons of a character I dont use, the only one I actually use from those as of now is Mona and only cuz I got her recently and I'm levelling her up)

no i think they should make new characters and market them as standard characters if they r going to the standard banner. its not rlly fair to have limited characters available at all times mihoyo cant rlly do that if the characters are marketed as event exclusive and as the characters keep coming they might even have to do three or more banners running at the same time to get through reruns. after all ppl only spent primos on the characters they want so its also pointless to get a new standard banner if character reruns already exist and are much easier to get the limited characters on. like if the limited characters get added to the standard banner some ppl might never get a specific character that they want but some ppl were able to get that specific character when they were limited. it just wouldnt make sense
4:04 I think this is false? I might be wrong, but iirc you have a 50-50 chance between weapons and characters. Therefore, it's a 1 in 12 chance as there is a 50% chance of getting a character and a 1 in 6 chance that if you do get a character, it is Tighnari.
i just want albedo on standard. we alr have his BiS for free (well, from the event) and standard is missing geo while with dendro having one 5 star of all other elements
(but yeah he can’t be on our current standard :( i am interested in the “add ability to lose 50/50s to them” workaround)

man, i have done it once again. i was one of the people that pulled for keqing on her banner out of fun and got her. and now, once again, i wished for tighnari and hid hard pity but got him without knowing he will be one of the characters. sad but its good that we finally got a second standard banner. the poor people that lost so many 50/50s on the same characters.
To balance things out, they could put the requirements for pulling in this banner is by only using stardust and starglitter instead of primos. This way, even when you have the worst luck as a whale, you still get the chance to pull slightly worth it characters, with path of epitome to choose which character or weapon you want. In addition, the 3 star pulls will be resources instead of useless weapons for fodders only
I'm happy that Tighnari is gonna be added to the Standard banner as we will need Dendro in the future but I wish they would add a Geo 5* on the standard banner, cause that's the only element missing lol.

If any 5 stars are added to the standard banner (or a new standard banner) it will probably done similarly to Honkai Impact 3rd. New battlesuits that are currently "meta" in Honkai do not end up on the Standard banner right away (such as Platinus Equinox, HoHE, HoF)... but if they have been out for a while they are added to the pool. A good example is Herscher of Thunder-- who only got into dorm supply after 2 years and MANY re-runs. And even being in dorm supply, she still gets re-runs since she is so popular and still a really good character to play as.
Another thing that Honkai does that may become a thing-- in a similar vein--- would be taking one of the launch 5 stars in the standard banner and making them a permanent 5 star for new accounts-- much like how Herrscher of The Void is a newcomer 5 star. This only works with characters that are victims of Power-Creep though-- and if that happens it may not be until a few more regions are available....
While it would be interesting to release a new 5 star character on a 2nd standard banner, I don't think it's likely- since it would be one less limited banner they can run. It makes more sense to me for them to run a 2nd banner for 5 stars that didn't perform as well on both initial run and rerun.... with one or two 5 stars that were popular but may be power-creeped a bit; or maybe the sales for the re run weren't as good as the first runs sales. That would give players a separate pool for those characters so they can try getting then without risking their pity being broken on the limited banners
This was a great video. I think that there are 2 extra factors worth considering: ease of use, and role diversity. As it stands the hardest character to use in the standard banner is Mona but in this new banner you get Childe which is arguably the hardest character in the whole game. On top of that the current banner has 2 main dps, 2 healers, and a sub dps. Compare that to this banner which has 4 main dps, and 2 sub dps. If you’re new to the game healing is more valuable as your skill level isn’t high yet and you have less damage overall so a 5* healer could prove to be more valuable in the short term especially when you consider the free options are Barbara and Noelle.
1:42 i remember they did a similar thing on khux where they made banners with no mercy (having gone years without doing no mercy bannners) and after huge backlash they removed the banners and replaced them with a 10 (10 pull) mercy, with it getting cheaper every time to 1900 jewels from 3000. Everyone who pulled kept their medals and got their jewels back.

I remember hearing a while ago that after a limited 5 star has had 3 reruns they would be added to the standard banner but that was a while ago and I completely forgot where I heard it but just wanted to point this idea out lol.
+Yoimiya got sandwhiched by kazuha rerun and sumeru update which is sadder than Keqing's banner profits
Tartaglia, Klee, Eula are my most likely picks, while Albedo and Shenhe would be questionable but slightly likely. For Inazuma characters the banner will have to be added further in the future since they are still relatively new, but my list would be Itto, Ayato, yoimiya and Yae.

I will want to pull on the 2nd wanderlust invocation that you made cuz really, i want all of the characters including baizhu because while i have xiao, albedo, and yae (all c0) already and was saving for childe rerun, these characters are actually pretty neat and if you build them right, they can be serious damage dealer that doesnt need constellation that much to perform well but acquiring their cons would also make a very good booster especially xiao
