  • Is this the most 'media-hype-underrated' bike in Triumph's lineup? Wayne thinks it might be. Hefty new updates to the 'all-roads' middleweight triple Adventure bike puts a smile on his dial. Full written review online at www.mcnews.com.au/2024-triump...

Hey there, me again. A comment about the Tiger’s Sport mode. Out here in the American Intermountain West we have miles of straight, flat roads that are interrupted by mountain passes. I love riding road mode with its comfortable setting then barely slowing down to hit sport for the stiffer setting over the pass. Crazy! Was off motorcycles for 40 some odd years skiing and Mountain biking, I still ride the Ducati 750 Sport I bought in 1974. I hop on to my Tiger and it’s a magic carpet ride!

I purchased the 2023 model as my first bike. Things I like include a broad torque band plus a good top end. It's very confortable and corners well. The luggage is really handy, especailly the top box. It gets over 55 miltes to the galon and about 230 miles from a full tank. Good visibility out of the mirrors. People complain about the vibes through the bars but you only notice it around 6k rpm which is about 85mph on the motorway and with all the speed cameras you can't do that for long in the UK anyway (even then it's not bad). On very windy days you can get buffeted at motorway speeds and I think it might be worse with the screen up so I leave it down. Most of the time it's not a problem. People complain about the display configuration but option 4 is good, just leave it set to that. My mods include Michelin Road 6 tires, Head crash Bars, Viofo MT1 dash cams, Quad lock wireless charger with Evotech mount, Warm and Safe heated gear controller & Tracker. I try and keep the bike clean but when you do 250 miles per week it never stays clean for long so recomend ACF50 treatment, espially if you are driving through the winter. Oh an this is a big one, it filters through traffic really well, great for going in and out of London. This really is a do it all bike.

I ride a 22 GT Pro. No significant complaints. I’m 70 and live in an Idaho ski town. Way more dirt than pavement. Your rationals matched mine completely. Sticking to maintained forest roads with pavement in between. I do love my bike but was lured by 24s improvements. A trade in was $9000 so that wasn’t an option. Put it on the block and got 3 calls from scammers, so I’m in love with it again. Think I’m too old to be riding at 7000 rpm. I’m putting some Bridgestone AX41s on Friday so maybe I’ll check out how 6000 or 7000 feels. I know, you’re supposed to get smarter as you age. Whatever

    Lovely places to ride!
I have just came back from a 1,000kms rise with my wife on my 2022 GT Pro. I do not think I need anything else, but for the reviews I have seen, the new one is surely better. Worth the trade? Purely depending on the money available. I mean it is better but the '20-'23 is not bad. I would like to reduce handlebars vibration, a little more end power (not that it needs any 😅) and the screen could be better that rounds up the upgrades already on the new one.

I had a Tiger 900 GT Pro ‘19 model year, loved the bike but hated the gearing on main highways/roads, felt it was over revving and needed an overdrive or 7th gear! How did you find the latest model gear ratios! Also wish they did a spoked wheel option for the GT Pro, might tempt me back if that was an option, Rally Pro a little too tall for me,

No doubt the 2024 is a great updated version. Im viewing to buy one tomorrow, yet to decide on Rally or GT. I'm 5'7" I can balls of my feet on the Rally and almost flat foot on the GT. I ride 70% tarmac and the rest on gravel roads which the GT is more than capable. One thing worth mentioning that i have yet to see in any review is that the plastic cover at front of seat and leading onto tank is not just a tank protector as one reviewer said it was. It's the cover to access the air filter! No more removal of tank to clean the filter! Hallelujah!

I think GT Pro is definitely underrated. Actually, I own the same model. The reason I owned the GT Pro was because I thought I wouldn't go off-roading because of my short stature. Anyway, I got into the adventure genre and am now enjoying quite a bit of hard off-roading. However, there were no major problems, and of course, there were many minor scratches and scratches. However, there is no doubt that it is a motorcycle that is powerful enough for the general public to enjoy off-roading. However, there are a few things that are disappointing, such as the foldable footpags and foldable gear shift, as I often drop the motorcycle off-road. Also, the C-clip on the rear seat footpeg often falls off, so I just used a wire to fix it. Also, the downside is that the front tire size is really odd, so it is very difficult to find tires for off-road use. The downside is that you almost always have to use Shinko tires or Mitas tires as front tires.

It's still the same as previous Tigers..... Radiator heat blows right onto your legs and knees. But as long as you keep moving, or ride in temperatures less than 70° f, it's pleasant. And in the winter time, it's nice to have that extra heat, on top of the heated grips and heated seats. But if you're looking for a hot weather bike to ride, this is not the one to pick. I own the 2024 Triumph Tiger 900 rally Pro, and love it, but I won't be riding it in hot weather.
