27:20 The ending is beautiful. Haseo is torn between his feelings for Atoli and Shino, but Shino tells him to follow his heart. Atoli is running away from the cathedral, expecting Haseo to stay with Shino. Then with a sorrowful expression, she takes one last look back at the cathedral. She sees Haseo running toward her, and her expression quickly changes to surprise then overwhelming joy. Atoli gets her happy ending. Atoli is the tragic heroine who needed someone to support her. In school, Atoli wanted to make friends, but instead she got bullied. At home, her parents were not helpful at all and scolded her. The World was her escape, a place where she could make friends and have fun. When she first found out that her PC looked just like Shino's PC, she was destroyed because she believed that she was just a replacement for someone else and that she was not good enough. Atoli only ever wanted for people to look at her and recognize her for who she is. That is why she was so attached to Sakaki at the start of the game. As the story progressed, the bond between Haseo and Atoli grew over time. By the end, Haseo became the support Atoli needed.
To be honest, I didn't like Haseo at first. I thought that he was your typical hot-blooded mc who fought for his own selfish desires. But as time went on, I started to respect Haseo for he started to accept his faults and not run away from hardships to become a selfless person. (Sorry for the long musings lol)
I assume you didn't watch the .Hack Root anime. As for Haseo the entire purpose or at least a big factor into the game series is Haseo's character development
The interconnection in this series is so phenomenal! From the lonely pk Sora to the world saving Haseo. What a character arc. Skeith puts him in a coma, only for him to come back and use that very power to save the world. Fuck it's so awesome!
desertbeast51 .Hack in general is underrated especially in the west, it’s pretty much a crime that SAO which is massively inferior to .Hack in every way is more popular proving that popularity doesn’t = quality.
It goes deeper: In the original trilogy, Skeith was the one who broke Aura and she had to be rebuilt. In GU, it's Skeith that's in pieces and must be rebuilt in order to bring Aura back.
@@desertbeast51 i hope they could make a soft reboot of the entire dothack franchise in our new generation and make all of its stories from the novels, manga, anime/OVA and game series interconnect each other and i hope they should wrap up the entire story and its lore through a game ala Infinity War and Endgame.
At first when the gu series came out i never really gave it a chance till recode, by then i found the love for it and enjoyed playing through these games.
@@Flowerbarrel Nice, I have finished at this part just now and hours ago Ive keep asking about this as I played. Comin here to rewatch, and this pretty much answers my question..
It’s because haseo is the key of twilight, and Cubia is the shadow, so Cubia is going to have a part of which it is created from. I don’t know if you played the original .hack games, but that Cubia had a copy of Kite in its core.
And thus was Cubia dispatched again. Kinda surprised they didn't make a Vol 4 preview. It would've been nice to keep it consistent with the rest of the series.
Guess I need to get this game for myself now. It's quite intriguing. Everything Haseo mentioned in Project X Zone 2 as well as what transpired in the rather dull .hack//Roots anime many years ago have both given me enough reasons now. XD
@@funnicabbagecop6759 I dont think so... When Shino gave his phone number to Haseo she was trying to accept his feelings and probably would tell to Ovan in the Cathedral but then the AIDA shit happened and while Haseo was trying to save her she "saw" how his feelings were changing along the way, that's why she asked if he wanted to redo the Twilight Brigade, to confirm if Haseo was still in love with her and when she saw that he was doubting, she knew that Haseo heart wasn't the same as before(and probably because he already had Canard but i think he could leave that to Kuhn since G.U. will going to be disbanded) and Haseo confirms that in the Promise Card email when he says that his feelings are so messed up.
I wonder if Cubia can still kill himself by ramming into your low level party members that have elemental counters. It was so funny to do back in the original game.

The Real .hack was the rengeki's we did along the way.
Oh there were a lot of those, for sure :p
I could tell Atoli was trying her hardest to not be awkward around Shino.
The scene at 9:15 is still one of my favorite moments in all of gaming. Absolutely amazing
the scene where haseo runs up to atoli at the end is one of the most beutiful scenes in any JRPG for me
it was a good ride for vol.3, now there is Reconnection.
Oh yea forgot about that.
10:52 That’s some godly effects.

well then that's one way to reset the internet when it gets too slow, just slay an Anti-Existance from causing a grand strain to the internet

I know right, here is everybody gushing about clouds development in FFVIIR while here we got an underrated hero arc going on with interconnections.

@@platuimknight8769 SOA can thank .Hack for setting the ground for so many like animes. I also agree, that it is massively inferior.

Glad to hear you enjoyed playing through them :)
Even tho this game had a full remaster and extra chapter, it still feels like an underrated game cuz i havent seen alot mentions of it.
You're right
A soft reboot, a more cohesive lore/story and reintroducing the entire era of the dothack media and game franchise in today's generation would help.
Also, i hope we could see more stories of each players behind the characters from every dothack eras so we can know them a bit better.
This was a roller coaster of emotions 😄
Saku logic. You just helped save the world, but Master En paying attention to Haseo is more important. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
So it's over.... Nope, we gotta get Ovan back.
I love how the naked haseo on top of cubia is never addressed. What the hell was up with that.
Yeah, you’re right. Maybe since Haseo has almost all the Epitaphs, and Cubia is their anti existence, Cubia chose to look like Haseo or something.

Till up to this day that cubia form still haunts and disturbs me 😕
This is great! ^_^

ho boy, i remember finishing this part w/o any healer coz i used all of the leveled one for previous battle.
Ahh.. that last scene. Poor Shino.
Nah, she never really have feeling for Haseo. Ovan s the only one that she actually thinks about.

thank for the gameplay this remember wen y play this in the highschool
TuT Epic final thanks shino...
Atoli for haseo
I'm cry for this final is the beast TuT
I'm... rigth HERE!!!!
So much feels. :.).
This is one of the boss "subbordinates are stronger than the boss" type
I love how Haseo really didn't need any teammates to beat Big bad Cubia. I'm pretty sure you could've soloed it.
*COUGHATOLICOUGH*
What was the name of the song playing at 9:41?
Gentle Hands. :)
Atoli x Haseo is rial

I already complete this game is so good rpg
in that thime here in argentina the anime was in tv and for continued the history y buy the ps2
I have never hated a single final boss in any game more than in this.
Back on ps2 this fight seemed alot harder... or maybe not?
What do you think Omega?
its the same :p
If you are not doing the forest of pain (most appropiate name ever), then you would not get tabby for the next volume, right?
At long last,the endgame........or is it? B)
this cubia battle is like copy paste from sephiroth final battle lol
