Yes the other video I have is of the first gen (Round screen) it’s inverter board failed. It took about a month but Sungold sent me a replacement unit, this gen 2. It’s working great. Yes I’d buy again, Sungold has provided me with a powerful system for a much lower price point than other comparable 10K split 240s
Do the batteries have overcharge protection? I also wonder if the inverter is the same as SPH10048P on the website. I'm looking at getting a 20kw kit to run my house and workshop. My power company has proven to be completely unreliable and I've had trouble with generators failing so I want to go solar. Can power from the utility company recharge the batteries at any point? Can the batteries be placed inside a closet in a house? Someone said something about possible acid leaks being a danger. And I've read something about needing gypsum board being needed for walls.
Yes your inverter will only pull the amps it needs to power your loads. Your limitations on batteries in Parallel are only set by the brand battery that you use. Some brands will let you parallel just a couple and some will do 10 plus. If you max out that 10kw inverter and pull all 10,000 watts of power at once then you divide that by the nominal 48v of the batteries and get a current of 208.33 amps. The 4/0 battery cables the inverter recommends can easily handle 230 amps at a time and since your inverter won't be pulling anymore than that for any extended period of time there is no problem hooking up multiple batteries in parallel.
Thanks yeah good units. I’ve got solar assistant running now, using the automation power command, really takes this inverter to the next level, I’m not dependent on the inverter settings I show in this video
I can tell you this is a pc of cheap shit since I purchased this before.. If u want your product last for more years, invest a lil more money and buy some decent brands.
Beautiful clean install.
When you connected your AC input . What size breaker from your panel did you use and awg wire ? Thank you in advance . I just got mine today 👍🏻👍🏻
30 or 40amp probably
I used a 50 amp breaker the manual says the max input per line would be 63amps. I’ve never tripped the 50amp on 6 gauge wire
So is there no fan running constantly? On the hybrid 10k?
Didn’t you have a problem with your original unit ? I thought I saw you in the forums about this. Did. SunGold handle it ? Would you purchase again?

SPH10K48SP IS FEEDBACK POWER FROM SOLAR BACK TO THE GRID?
Yes
Can this feature be turned off? I do not want to put power back in the grid. Can it be set to Generator mode?>@@PaintSlinger99
What type of loads are you running? Is this powering your house/cabin? What was causing the fans to cycle on and off? Thanks
Everything but the dryer and stove
@@PaintSlinger99Is that by choice or is it not able to run them? Sorry, I'm new to all this and trying to learn.
I would dc cutoff on solar panels and also on batteries also fuse
I have all that in my latest th-cam.com/video/1vEIupjwvqI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=JXCoosYdnOUke9QV
Looks like I need to move negative to pwerwall 2
What is the name of the phone app this unit uses?
Can you use 4 batteries with parallel connection with that one inveter

The sound on this video is very poor.
Sorry I don’t make many videos
Sounds fine
I have a newer video here th-cam.com/video/1vEIupjwvqI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=JXCoosYdnOUke9QV
