Wow looks great! Hope to add an 8k Sungold to my 6k LF Sungold.
Thank you nice set up
Thx
Where do you get the conduit
Have a similar set up but with only three batteries. The issue I’m having and don’t really know if it’s an issue is that solar assistant says my battery capacity is only 5kwh. Is this normal? Does your solar assistant says your capacity is 5kw as well? My batteries are connected in parallel but the primary or first discharges more than the other two.
Seeing Mary Hart with her new facelift front row at the World Series
Do you have links for the bus bar and breaker
Beautiful clean install.
Do you have any over voltage errors with the 330 watt panels. Are they 41 Volt Voc, 10.6 Amps Isc. Thanks for showing your setup.
Really nice setup. Have got to get that sweet manual transfer switch. At the moment I don’t have enough batteries so set my priority to charging batteries with the solar. I have about 7k in solar, sungold IP6048 rated for 7500watts and two of the sungold power walls
Looks like I need to move negative to pwerwall 2
Those are the sexiest wire layout... Congrats
Thanks buddy
did you get an overbussbar error on the inverter when you didnt have an exterior bussbar for your batteries? I hooked up my system and i series paralelled 12v bateries into a 48v pack. It it comes in at 53v but as soon as i connect the AC i get this overvoltage buss bar programming error, 08. For the life of me i cant figure out what is wrong
You email Sungold? Sounds like a hardware problem
I can tell you this is a pc of cheap shit since I purchased this before.. If u want your product last for more years, invest a lil more money and buy some decent brands.
I'm glad that sungoldpower changed it for you.. I had no luck
Can you explain what happened?
What forum do you contribute to regarding SunGold Inverters?
diysolarforum.com/
How did you wire up the panels ? series I assume 38v x3 =114v input into the MPPT?
Also is your equip (pump) below the waterline or above? Having issues keeping mine primed.
Nice video...thank you.
Thanks for videos..im considering buying a couple of these. Do they have internal breakers, dc,ac and pv or did you have to install your own breakers. Do you know if this unit can run on pv only off-grid. Thanks.
I have a newer video here th-cam.com/video/1vEIupjwvqI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=JXCoosYdnOUke9QV
Is this the same inverter as the SRNE asp but with a different screen location? I know multiple companies rebrand them and sungoldpower had a previous gen. that I believe was the same as the SRNE asp. The reason I ask is that this unit is the best price of all the asp rebrands for a short time and want to try it out if it is indeed the same. Thanks for the video!
I must have zoned out when you said its a srne. Woops! That being said is it an asp? Sorry about that, thanks.😅
@dotsllc 5 days ago Dotsllc Trucking Really bad company buyer beware i am fighting with the company now got 3100. worth of junk been from the first day they want me too pay to ship it back Reply
How do you wire the timer to the mppt controller of the pump? The reason I’m asking because I bought the 1200 watts version and planning to put a timer to the controller.
The wire that exits the on off switch in the MPPT needs to lead to the switch terminal on the timer, the line leaving the timer will feed back to the MPPT control board, what use to be the feed from the switch. You're basically putting another switch on the existing switch line of the mppt. If your toggle is OFF on your MPPT the system is off, if you timer switches to OFF your system is OFF. Open it up youll see how to do it
Thank you
So is there no fan running constantly? On the hybrid 10k?
Nice job!!! These type pumps have been around for years but you hardly ever hear anyone in the pool pump industry mention this tech. I have had a 1hp solar pump installed since 2012. You figure it cost about $50-100 per month depending on your KWH rate, so these pay for themselves in no time, espescially if you install yourself. The current pricing for the Vevor on amazon is so cheap you could replace these every year and still save $. These motors are also brushless, so they should last a few years. Thanks again for posting.
For sure. It's a neat idea that works well and prob will save you some $$$
What fittings did you use for the pvc?
it's 1 1/2 in PVC and 1 1 /2 Flex PVC fittings all on amazon by FibroPools
What size is the pool and how does the fibropool heat pump work ?
15ft wide, yes its a good unit I got it on amazon
@@PaintSlinger99 Love my fibropool! 3 years going strong
Great job done, boss. I love your setup ❤❤❤
Can you let me know what inverter you selected when setting up solar assistant?
USB Type B printer cable to inverter, use the ‘SRNE’ selection in Solar Assistant device setup
@@PaintSlinger99 Thank you. That's what I chose and It's been doing a great job.
@@larryd.9245 Great buddy glad it worked out
I would dc cutoff on solar panels and also on batteries also fuse
I have all that in my latest th-cam.com/video/1vEIupjwvqI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=JXCoosYdnOUke9QV
Hi, which inverter did you use and do you need a battery for this setup?
Wires directly to the solar panels.. dc motor
Can you use 4 batteries with parallel connection with that one inveter
Yes your inverter will only pull the amps it needs to power your loads. Your limitations on batteries in Parallel are only set by the brand battery that you use. Some brands will let you parallel just a couple and some will do 10 plus. If you max out that 10kw inverter and pull all 10,000 watts of power at once then you divide that by the nominal 48v of the batteries and get a current of 208.33 amps. The 4/0 battery cables the inverter recommends can easily handle 230 amps at a time and since your inverter won't be pulling anymore than that for any extended period of time there is no problem hooking up multiple batteries in parallel.
i would put inverter in middle
Thank you for this. I am thinking of getting a system like this, although I would have two inverters and 6 batteries total. I want to have my batteries stacked on top of one another instead of side by side-- if that is feasible. Will have to make sure there is space for that, of course. Do you have any links to purchase the bus bar? Any link to the breaker from signature solar? I have zero experience with solar but I'm sick of my power company having outages and not restoring power in a timely fashion- plus they just doubled the rates bc the new CEO gave himself a huge raise. Can this system be installed inside a house or is that a bad idea? I have a metal shed outside and I can probably put up a small plastic shed if push comes to shove. I have central AC that I think is 1HP. Got 1/2HP jet pump, another 1/2HP pump to pull water to the cistern, microwave, pressure cookers, air fryer, washing machine, dryer, upright freezer, two fridges, plus a workshop with tablesaw, miter saw, band saw, planer, etc. We have a dishwasher but we never use it. Also have 2 TVs, 3 computers, 3 laptops, etc. Oh, and 50 gallon water heater. Link to manual transfer switches please? I know, I'm asking for a lot of links. LOL. Sungold has a package for a 20kw (the two 10kw inverters). Mostly I want to be able to have power when my power company craps out on me. Thank you for this video. I found this from your post on the diysolar forums that I just joined.
Wow, you didn't marry the content creator here did you? He might be able to swing by and put out the trash too....js.
Do the batteries have overcharge protection? I also wonder if the inverter is the same as SPH10048P on the website. I'm looking at getting a 20kw kit to run my house and workshop. My power company has proven to be completely unreliable and I've had trouble with generators failing so I want to go solar. Can power from the utility company recharge the batteries at any point? Can the batteries be placed inside a closet in a house? Someone said something about possible acid leaks being a danger. And I've read something about needing gypsum board being needed for walls.
What is the name of the phone app this unit uses?
Great video man. Thanks for sharing.
Nice work! Thanks!
Really helpful with the solar assistant
What are the costs of the inverters and batteries?
Go to Sungold Power website and look around, no sales right now so I’d wait for sales
Tipical china use the colour from a good brand so it looks like it and hope it will sell
They aren't copying that brand at all. They cater to the DIY side much more and charge reasonable prices with ZERO shipping and added taxes. But you are free to bellyache all you like.
Everythings from China, I can't complain about this product
@@PaintSlinger99 no not every thing but many things
Do they have any issues with light flickering? The 6548 are notorious for that!! And thats my biggest gripe for my Sp6548. To the point to where I want to upgrade. Thanks again for the videos!!!!
No flickering that I really notice. I've heard some systems have that problem. These 10k's a pretty neat and the 3rd generations can now parallel! Wish i had that
Hello, I setup the SPH10048P about a month ago along with 4 rack mount batteries. I do experience lights flickering. I am currently working with sungoldpower to resolve the issue.
Any resolution regarding flickering?
@@gr8icu Not at all. It takes at least a day to get a response from support and then they want needless info on the brand of LED lights. They also want videos of you using a multi meter and inverter settings. They did send a firmware update that helped with other more serious issues. I will probably purchase a better inverter in the future.
I did notice my bathroom over cabinet LEDs sometimes flicker a bit, I got on Amazon and ordered a more expensive LED bulb and it doesn’t do it. If the LED has a small cheap resistor it won’t smooth the signal enough, try to replace some bulbs
Didn’t you have a problem with your original unit ? I thought I saw you in the forums about this. Did. SunGold handle it ? Would you purchase again?
Yes the other video I have is of the first gen (Round screen) it’s inverter board failed. It took about a month but Sungold sent me a replacement unit, this gen 2. It’s working great. Yes I’d buy again, Sungold has provided me with a powerful system for a much lower price point than other comparable 10K split 240s
What happens when there's no sun..the pool will automatically turn green
That's what chlorine is for.
I’ve got my old pump still I can run it also, it’s working good tho and runs on very little sun
What type of loads are you running? Is this powering your house/cabin? What was causing the fans to cycle on and off? Thanks
Everything but the dryer and stove
@@PaintSlinger99Is that by choice or is it not able to run them? Sorry, I'm new to all this and trying to learn.
I've had mine for 4 years. These work great and better my electrict pump.
Thanks for video. What’s the voltage of each solar panel ?
35 volt (41v open) at 9.60 amps. One string of 3 all in series, running great. Very impressed with this pump
@@PaintSlinger99 Can I get a link to those panels? thx
Like the size of those good video thanks
Thanks yeah good units. I’ve got solar assistant running now, using the automation power command, really takes this inverter to the next level, I’m not dependent on the inverter settings I show in this video
What are the wires in the water an how did you run your panels
Those are sensors so the pump will shut off and not dry run if your pool got low. I ended up not using them
When you connected your AC input . What size breaker from your panel did you use and awg wire ? Thank you in advance . I just got mine today 👍🏻👍🏻
30 or 40amp probably
I used a 50 amp breaker the manual says the max input per line would be 63amps. I’ve never tripped the 50amp on 6 gauge wire
