- Our most recent endeavor pulling another steel press from Albemarle, NC to Sheboygan, WI. Along with other delays, this piece was supposed to weigh 66,000#s but ended up closer to 73,000#s.
That is a great setup with the jeep, trailer and stinger. That 3x3x3 configuration could carry a lot of weight. Did you mention you guys are getting a setup close to that type. You guys have a great setup now but it seems if you want heavier cargo a change has to be made. Be safe.

I know this is a year old but was wondering do you get compensated when you sit waiting on the shipper? You waited a day and half on the shipper this time.
Yes. We give them generally 4 hours on a project like this before we start our clock for detention time. Also there are charges added if we have to layover night to cover the hotel expenses and such. We treat our customers fairly, and work with them on these extra charges, but we do expect to be compensated for our loss of time.

Yes, we do, but the numbers vary. Each company has their own contract rates for detention time (hours kept waiting after the first 2 hours). If we end up over night, then we charge what is called layover. That is a completely different rate in and of itself. Like I said, those numbers all vary depending upon the load.
Could you put a 144 inch sleeper on the back save staying motels
Sure could! But, we like the way she looks as is :) And for the price of those sleepers, we could spend the next 3 years in hotels and still have money left over lol.

Yep. A lot of the cities and towns in Wisconsin are nice. Pretty calm, although there are a lot of tight spaces where trucks get caught in. Keep up the nice videos. Very interesting setup and loads you got there! Plus, y'all dress real nice.

Why the hell would you wash your truck with the weather like that? It'll be just as dirty it was before you make it 5 miles.
Gets the salt and road grime off the truck. It's preventive. Also, the stuff you see on the ground was left over from a previous storm. We were heading south, and the weather was just fine there.

There are many of them out there. I am just referring to the over sized load guide books that is a complied list of all rules and regulations for each state. Makes it handy having it right at our finger tips.
