don't worry, when it comes to teardowns, Zack's a bit of an amateur... yes, pulltabs are mega cheap to make, but with phones having a generally bad resale value (basically anything that isn't Apple), skipping the pulltabs isn't such a bad idea economically wise and yes, the A20e/40/50/70 battery can be replaced very easily and safely with the correct tools, a small plastic pry tool and some Isopropyl alcohol make short work of the sticky crap underneath the battery without any bends or tears.

Hey Zack, you can use 99% isopropyl alcohol and a dropper or run a small amount on the end of your pry tool to soften the adhesive. It's safer and considerably faster. That being said, I certainly don't appreciate what manufacturers are pulling here. I don't understand what's so difficult about using pull tab adhesive strips. It' would make a good chunk of my job less of a hassle.
Zack, great tear down. Only thing I have to say is that if you are removing the battery it's probably because you are replacing it and it doesn't matter if you damage it slightly.
Have you ever thought about doing some durability test on cases? Lifeproof, beetles are personal favorite. otter boxes. It could be fun to find out what they can take?
I have one of these phones and it's extremely reliable and in your first video I was surprised how strong it is and how strong class is on the screen, but could not watch you destroy it in the second video, but good info.
Even though the battery is adhesive isnt good the phone overall is still amazing for the price I got mine for £230 and its a really really good phone Thanks for doing a duribility test and teardown on it zach Both videos were some great videos

When JRE uploads to durability test video, we get inside the world of the glass that scratches at level 6 with deeper grooves at level 7 and when he uploads a teardown video we get inside the world of little legos.
If you put some denatured alcohol on the sides of the battery, it seeps underneath it and eats up that adhesive. Makes battery removals sooooo much easier. Highly recommend.

Seriously, if Samsung just put in a 6000 mAh battery and a headphone jack in the Note 10+, it would crush literally everything on the market for about 2.5 mm extra thickness.
They know that they just don't want you to know that they know. It's all mind games.
Samsung a stellar battery .... errr .... the only brand i know having a worse battery day to day performances and see many of their user after Samsung having to recharge the phone 2 to 3 time a day at the work ... (while my phone pass the whole day and a part of the next day if i use it alike ) is Apple ...

@@ayaansiddiqui9169 reread ... i never said i had a Samsung phone ... i only said Samsung and iPhones owned by my colleague usually need 2 to 3 time being plugged to the charger if they use is like my phone (wich is of neither brand) that would go for 2 days used the same way (but on a daily basis use has more like 3-4 days ) 2 days for an iPhone? well then that's with a minimal use ... because a light browsing, some whatsapp and facebook will bring it to one day like all the other i saw (another common point to these 2 brands... they are way too overpriced x) ) and both phone owned by these colleague are recent model :p

@@sevatari0n well people who buy cheaper phones are looking for long gevity and function, and functionally plastic is alot more durable than glass and alot cheaper to replace not to mention Samsung was able to make it look and feel like glass
