    I found this video while considering purchasing EOS RP. I'm thinking of purchasing this camera because it's clean enough even for an entry-level camera. thank you very much.

    This was a good video, dude 👌. Btw: When you use a zoom lens, just add the focal length alongside the camera settings (iso, shutter, aperture).

    great video, thanks. for a beginner in street, landscape photography, do you recommend buying canon sl3 and investing in lenses or do you recommend buying canon rp? is there much difference in night photography and photo sharpness?

    • @Culco
      @Culco ปีที่แล้ว

      SL3 owner here
      Definelty go for the RP im Uprgading at the moment to the RP.
      SL3 is good but now days for the price the RP just kills it.
      Also u get Fullframe and can buy Realy good lenses wich u can use in the future for your next upgrade.

    Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I’ve been wanting to get an RP for a while now but R8 just came out. Should I buy RP+more expensive lens or R8+cheaper lens. I do stills and landscape photography. Videos, not so much.

    • @juljanskurani
      @juljanskurani  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I don't like the dynamic range for landscape photography on the RP. I'd say, look at what your goals are in the next 3-5 years with your photography and that will help you decide. Maybe thinking if you could use the camera that you are buying now as a second camera to a more professional one that you will get when you are further on your path is a good place to start. If you will always do photogrraphy as a hobby, an rp is fine, an eos r a bit better but still, that upgrade is not very necessary and an R8 is a weird mixing of professional capabilites on a not so professional body which is probably too much for a hobbyist but doesn't really work for a professional either.

    I liked your movie I am in the Canon system and wanting to develop I am thinking about buying a full frame Canon RP I wonder if in 2023 this body will be enough for me seeing what photos you took I am convinced that the camera should satisfy me especially that the budget allows you to buy just RP . I am an amateur photographer but I care about the quality of the photo, I do not only film street, portrait, landscape photos.Greetings from Poland.

    I have the m50 mark ii now, is de rp a good camera switch ? I want better photo's for my content, nice video bud!

    • @juljanskurani
      @juljanskurani  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thank youu!!
      I don‘t think I‘d switch to the rp from the m50 mark ii. Rp is the cheapest, entry level full frame mirrorless camera from canon. I‘d take the „entry level“ part of that sentence seriously and wouldn‘t expect too much from it. Yes it‘s full frame and yes it has the rf mount which are both real upgrades compared to the m50 ii, but in what I saw, it lacks a lot in dynamic range at least compared to my eos r, and the AF struggled quite a bit in lowlight. If you want a relatively cheap but real upgrade, save up some more and go with the r8. Best AF from canon, and amazing full frame sensor from the r6 markii. I know it‘s more expensive than the rp, but, I strongly believe the saying „If you buy cheap, you‘ll buy twice“. So, I can‘t recommend the RP.

  • @guyphoto9437
    @guyphoto9437 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Two things: First: your camera is "hunting" for focus because you're attempting to focus on objects which have no contrast, i.e., a black jacket, or a white jacket, etc. Auto focus lenses need some contrast to focus, they always have. Second: Third party batteries always suck. They're a waste of money. Use Canon's batteries, they might cost more but they'll work.

    • @jonasmoritz1243
      @jonasmoritz1243 ปีที่แล้ว

      good to know, thanks... What would be a solution for that? Just looking for a contrast object? Or are there tips for that if its like that

    • @guyphoto9437
      @guyphoto9437 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@jonasmoritz1243 If you're shooting something with no contrast, say a white wall that totally fills your frame, you'll need to manually focus. If you're focusing on an all-white car, for example, focus on a seam, like a door jamb, or anything that creates a difference in contrast. Just make sure your F/stop is small enough to give you an adequate depth of field if you want the entire car in the photo. Sometimes you'll need to focus on something slightly to the side of your main subject and compose for the subject. You can move your autofocus points or use the middle autofocus point, focus, keep the shutter half pressed and compose and fully press the shutter. Loss of contrast occurs a lot when you're shooting something like a reception at night and you're using available light.
