Fab I did this in lockdown only difference I added mirrors to the doors made by a local glass shop, they came out stunning. Big up to all the ladies for having a go.
I really like it, looks good but. I did a very similar construction and after a few months ended up in really ugly cracks between the wall and mdf. My conclusion was to fix the mdf on the wall instead and not on the wardrobe. In this case it will not crack but there will be a small gap between mdf and wardrobe. However, you never see this gap in this case. The cracks you would see all the time. Just a small tip for improvement. Otherwise great work!
As a cabinet maker/fitter I can confirm that after 1 month this is going to look like a pile of crap. As a matter of fact if you ask this lady to send some pictures of the joints she made, you will regret about the materials she wasted.
I want to do this but I’m actually so thick I don’t understand why that base is needed. Is it really needed or can I just let the wardrobe sit on the floor? Also would it look ok without doors? Thanks a lot ❤
@christinemorrison528 built in means, built into the already existing room, without taking more room up Usually when something is built in, it only takes up more space while it's in use, then goes back to where it was built in So no lol

Thank you ☺️
Do you have a pic of the mirrored doors?

Thank you, you’re welcome ☺️
Your very very short tutorial is better than some half hour videos! Awesome work!
Thank you ☺️
Good work lass 😊 good hack to achieve the look without the huge cost of built ins 👍 keep sharing
Thank you ☺️
I doubted you about the handle choice but when I saw the finished look I really liked it. Well done!
Thank you ☺️

Thank you ☺️
Absolutely stunning!
Wow, that’s mental. Well done 💪🏼
Wow you did such a beautiful job!!!
Good job looks bespoke, shame the quality of them isn’t great the doors are flimsy now compared to years ago
Raising the floor of the wardrobe make it looks less like a closet.
Looks fabulous
Great job just wished you'd painted it a color

Amazing I wish I can do that
Very impressive... So how you could learn how to use these tools... Is it something that I can learn by myself? I am overwhelmed
Yes, I started with small DIY’s and built up my confidence
What if a mousie or something else gets into the space but can't get back out? :(
That's great crafting
Keep going at If
Thank you ☺️
What thickness is the mdf?xx
👏👏👏
What paint colour did you use on the wardrobe please?
It’s called safe play from coat paints
How much did you spend ? Looks nice
On top of the actual IKEA Pax units less than £50 for the materials to build it in
Where are you going to put the rest of your clothes?
This wardrobe is in my 8yr old daughter’s bedroom. She’s got lots of space for her clothes, she’s only small
you literally lost all that storage potetial on the top and side.............O.o
All what storage on the top and side??? What you're referring to is a small fraction of dead space.
You can use vacuum bags and store above the cupboard. There wasn't dead space, she killed it.
Its not built in if the room got smaller 😂😂😂
They are 'built in' to an available area, rather than free standing wardrobes 😂🙈...kinda like a kitchen

Built in, means built into the space which these are. They look “built in” not freestanding
"That built in look" so I don't think she's trying to say that they ARE built in? Just my thoughts
Of course it's a built in. You clearly don't know what a built in is.
As soon it moves it will look bad af. And it will move
