Are you you using single coils on your guitars, or humbuckers? Mine is noisy with single coils, but so is my fuzz face, Rats, etc. I wouldn't say any more than the others. I use my Tele Deluxe (cunife humbuckers) with the MK II - they really seem to like each other.
Similar. The OC73 and OC83 both "clean up" well, yet the OC73 has an OC75-like bite. The OC83 was a bit more "rubbery" like an OC81D. Both are awesome. Should have kept the OC83. ;)
I’m still in the honeymoon phase with my Sola MkII w OC73s. Got thee email in April this year from Ant and snagged it promptly. It’s so dang cool. I want more like this lol!
@@Slammintone Thanks for your comment. I think the OC73 is my fave so far - I've had a Sola / DAM OC75 and an OC83 prior to this. Stupidly sold both of them but I think I like this one the best - like the OC83, it cleans up much better than the OC75 (if I recall correctly - didn't clean up well at all) but it has the cut and bite factor of the OC75. It's got a very convincing Yardbirds Page tone - rubbery and messy. I really like this version a lot. I'll keep it I think!
I just got one of these also. Is your one noisy? Mine is quite noisey but sounds great.

Cool. How does this version of MkII sound compared to the one you had with OC83 transistors?
