Love the shape of this scarf! Lovely pattern and easily explained directions! This is a scarf that can be worked up in a day. Thank you Robin! You're brilliant!
I made this shawl a couple of years ago for a dear friend who had been diagnosed with cancer. It turned out better than I ever imagined. I am back because I am going to make another, this time for me, I found these old style of shawls called a “Sontag” style shawl, where you make a shawl with this shape, the very long ends, and you make it long enough that you put it around your back like a usual shawl, then cross it in front of your chest, and then bring the ends of the shawl to the small of your back and either button or tie it there. This style keeps the shawl in place without having to keep fussing with it and you get the warmth of the shawl over your back and shoulders and chest. I am really excited about making this shawl again. This is a beautiful pattern from a wonderful teacher.
I have been looking everywhere for this. The one's I saw were not easy enough for me to understand. However, I should've known to look at you 1st. Duhh. Thank you so very much for your clear, awesome video. Everything I make go to Nursing facility, etc. I know they're going to love this. Thank you again.
Hi Robin. Love your channel. I have made so many of your projects. I'm part of our prayer shawl ministry at church. I've made all your shawls...everyone loves them. I made your join as you go granny blanket for a baby shower gift with some little booties and hat. Everyone raved over them. I made you festival blanket and our ladies aid group are using it in a silent accutron. Needles to say you have made me a better crocheted. I even love the magic ring and I use the magic knot all the time. Well anyway thanks. You're great. Carol C.
I just finished watching the complete Fantail tutorial. I just loved it! I am going to make it tomorrow. It will make a wonderful springtime shawl. Thank you, Claudia
I’m definitely a fan of these shallow shaped with long wingspan shawls. They stay beautifully draped around the shoulders❤️ lovely spring colors too. Strange weather in upper East Tennessee, one day 80 degrees next day snowing lol.
Thank you so much for this gorgeous scarf/shawl. Your tutorial is wonderfully easy! I'm looking for ideas to crochet gifts for my granddaughters (4-13). Your project looks like a winner! 🥰 Much appreciation from Texas, USA. 💕
I absolutely love your channel and consider it to be THE best place for me to learn crochet stitches! I tend to learn techniques and cobble them together with my sewing and patterning knowledge to improvise my crochet and knitting projects. I loved this video and I plan to adapt it into a half-circle capelet shape instead. Thank you so much for all of the incredible content you make for us all!
This is such a gorgeous shawl. Reminds me of a mermaid. This is quite challenging for me so having to keep rewatching the repeats but im slowly getting the hang of it. Thankyou ❤
I am in the middle of a project and had a stroke awhile back so I will save this to come back to i don't want to get confused. But it looks very beautiful
I made the lotus blanket recently. And I am working on my second spring shawl as I type this. I will definitely make this when I am finished with my current WIP. I have some Horizon from Hobbii in the color 18 which is a lovely bright rainbow like Red Heart Retro Stripes.
Hi Robin, I’m a beginner crocheted and your tutorials are great! I’m currently working on another of your shawl patterns and it’s going really well. I think I may try this next!
💜💜💜💜your patterns. 💜💜💜💜listening to your accent as you work. 💜💜💜💜that you have patterns in USA and English . I miss the different colored nails 💅🏻 though 🥰🥰🥰
Hello Robin! Beautiful shawl. I am love your yarn. I was looking for the same but the shipping is expensive more of the cost of the cakes yarns. I will use some from my stash 😉👍🤣💖
I love all of your tutorials especially the LOTUS BLOSSOM. I USED THAT PATTERN FOR BLANKETS, DOILIES, THROWS. I JUST LOVE IT. ANYWAY I WANTED TO ASK YOU IF I KEEP WORKING ADDITIONAL ROWS WITH WILL THE DRAPE OVER THE SHOULDER BE EVEN LONGER. THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR WONDERFUL TALENT. GOD BLESS
This shawl shape is wonderful!!! I like a lot of coverage to wrap up in, but I feel the traditional triangle isn't all that flattering to those of us with...shall we say 'ample' junk in our trunks. It tends to look like a tail. Personally, I don't need any help drawing attention to my behind. But that is just me.. This is perfection....thank you so much!!!!
Could you please make more shawls like this! Also if I use a 4 weight yarn what size hook should I use? Love this shawl! You are the best teacher!!! Thank you Robin!
Love the big fat tassels? Learn how to make them here!: th-cam.com/video/p3jIx24Rybw/w-d-xo.html
Can you tell me what yarn and needle size you are using please?. I love the colorway.
@@sandycurry6441 I used a 4mm hook and Cicibebe Yarn Cakes (just over 2 of them so roughly 760 - 1000 metres of yarn) x
This shawl is so beautiful! Thanks for sharing this one. This is now on my list to do! ❤️💚💜
When you wash the item - how do you keep the tassels looking pretty?
Thank you!
Love the shape of this scarf! Lovely pattern and easily explained directions! This is a scarf that can be worked up in a day. Thank you Robin! You're brilliant!
