KLM Story time: my high school had an annual scavenger hunt at the end of every Spirit Week. Basically, we all grab baskets of random crap and spread it out on blankets, hoping we somehow got the right crap between us. A caller will call out a category, then a specific type (example: jersey, hockey). We then search through our piles of crap hoping to have the item, have the specific item, and/or get that crap up to the judges first for anywhere from 5 to 15 points. Anyway, moving along. The caller called out for a “musical instrument”. Somehow THAT was the year NONE of us had even a plastic recorder or harmonica. Just, NADA. So, I told the runner to drag me up there. Now, I was a known choir member (it was a SMALL school: *maybe 200 students, if lucky, but usually just over 100. So, you generally knew who was in what club etc). The judges still asked me to “prove it”. So I sang them “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star” between gasps. We got our freaking 5 points. (But I think they closed that loophole the following year.)
