Right after being born, calves are separated from their mothers and will never see them again so that they don't develop any affection. They cannot move freely and are forced to live for up to 4 months without any protection against the sunlight, rainfall, heat, and cold. It was also found that many male calves were intentionally malnourished and some died from starvation because they are considered a burden to the dairy industry.

Worked at a large East coast slaughterhouse and the only time they received any calves that could hardly walk was right before Easter. These calf's were held in a single pen so small that not only could calves not walk but could not turn around. Meat from these calf's were very white in color and brought more money. Utter disgrace they are allowed to do this.

@@paulriley2730 Was told many years ago that animals were placed on this earth to serve man. People would never survived with coats made from animal hides, leather for shoes, by products from beef such as tallow believe still used to make shampoo. When Campbell soup was still in Camden NJ we sent them couple hundred drums of bones. Also donated steer parts such as pancreas, maybe kidneys and even eye balls to local teaching hospitals. Only thing wasted on a steer is the blood. We dumped it into city drains for 50 years until they stopped it. Tried cooking it in huge cookies but took 24 hours to convert blood into a small amount of maroon powder that was a great fertilizer but cost too much.

I dont know which "reality" you are talking about but loosing a calf from the next generation, that may be the reality of rich farmer who have millions of dollars of wealth and propert in his name, as from my experience, a farmer sell the calf, instead of leaving it to die.

As a dairy farmer this is not true for all farmers
there are good and bad people on Earth,
people who treat animals as family and other people treat animal like they dont give a shit what happens all they care about is money, but i am that person who treats animal with kindness and i love them ❤❤❤

I would be willing to pay more for milk and food for more humane and "natural" treatment of animals. My other half grew up in the dairy region quite a while ago back in the day of family farm.

Those baby’s have no say in the matter, we do, I’ll continue to eat meat, never had veal, unable to eat dairy due to my body rejecting it, yet the industry will continue to do this - why?.
The Farmer does what mother nature would do after a calf is born the mother leaves it in the brushes en goes of grazing .. she wil look for her calf only twice a day just for feeding it .. the same way dairyfarmers do it.. you dont throw your newborn baby into a chrece ameaditly so everything has a reason and for the record if farmers didnt love their animals they would be out of buissnes long ago you work over 100 hours a week with a less then averge paycheck...

This is rare. Not all dairy’s are like this. Very few are. 95% of the time the calves are taken away after a couple days with the cow and then sold as bottle calves where people treat them like little puppies. Dairy isn’t the problem. The BAD dairy farmers are the problem. Just like saying all police are bad
You're spreading misinformation. This is not rare, it is standard practice. No one who cares about animals raises them as objects to be brutally slaughtered for profit, which is what farmers do. To anyone reading, watch the documentary called Dominion. It's free to watch on TH-cam. Farm animals are routinely tortured and killed for their flesh and bodily secretions. The way they are treated is shameful and disgusting.
You see the police in public. Even if your dad is a policeman, you aren't supposed to be in the police's private meetings. The police hear about crime, and it's their job to stop crime, so they grab the person who they think did it, and put him/her under lock and key so that the public will live their lives in fear. I think criminals should be afraid, but not the public. Whenever a crime is committed, somebody has to pay, and let's just hope they don't blame it on you, because you'll be the one who goes to jail.

Sorry but male calves serve no purpose. They are not needed to impregnate the females & can’t produce milk. Thus they go to slaughter. Dairy farms can’t afford to keep them around
@@paulriley2730 I saw a lot of terrible and heartbreaking videos on youtube of the brutally treatmant and abusing neclected calfs in the meat industrie.
A lot of the boy calfs are dieing becauce the farmer let them die without food a very very slow dead. They are crying and crying and sturving. It takes a lot time since it is over.

Sorry but in the United States we always have and always will be meat eaters. Every major city & small town has both high end & low end restaurants. Supermarkets can’t keep meat on its shelves. Of course any animals that are slaughtered will suffer. As a society we accept that except for the small vegan population. These animals are literally created by insemination to be slaughtered for food. That’s life. You don’t like it? Good for you don’t eat meat. I myself have grown up around dairy farms. Not only did I do the milking but cared for the calves. Every farm I've worked on in south central Pennsylvania has the same set up for calves. Separate barns where they stay out of the weather and fed as much as they could eat twice a day. I took very good care of them. Yes I love meat but I grew up taking care of what I was asked to do. The better you take care of something the better it does for you and you could even taste the difference in the meat

Bullshit! Fake! I grew up on a small dairy farm in the central valley of California. Calves are treated with care. They are the replacements for the cows already in production. Every cow is selectively bred so her offspring will be better than her. This is not cheap. So the calves are very well taken care of.
Your farm may be well run with well treated calves, but it may be the exception.

dude..... cows are artificially produced for mass consumption, but animals that are born non artificially are probably more likely to be eaten, i think u might need to research some more as alot of people seem unaware of this, peace !
