Yes Jack! Not everyday you see a familiar face in the recommended videos! I'm always watching stuff like this but it's absolutely never UK based! Lovely stuff! 👌👏
Thanks! I had so many problems with it jamming in Ireland, as an ex-Marine I'm so picky about safety, on the surface and when moving it's permenantly on but now I take it off as soon as I hit the bottom and settle
Loving your work Jack - good drills! I've never dived in the UK, only bream, S.B. and Dentex in warmer climes. Was thinking about making a trip to North Wales. 7mm all year round or can you get away with 5mm in the summer?
Great video Jack, I’ve watched this a few times over the Winter to keep my spirits up for the new season. Some great spearing and lovely locations. Question - have you ever seen any Black Bream? I’ve had Gilthead on the Llyn but I’ve never even seen a Black Bream - I say it’s my target species every year but never get one. Maybe 2023 is finally going to be the year!
Haven’t seen a bream, tried a few areas near Llanbedrog but no sign of them, planning on trying marks much further west in the Bardsey sound with much more depth this season so hopefully will find one!
@@jackmetcalfe8542 Similar, I've dived loads of spots between Pwllheli and Llanbedrog and never seen a black. I've had gilts near Llanbedrog and at Aberdaron, I know 3 people, myself included who've found them there - always in the same spot. I've heard of people catching blacks off Bardsey island so definitely worth a look. You should try motoring over to Sarn Badrig, that's meant to be the real hot spot. If I can get my boat sorted out, I recon it's where I'll finally find them. I've got some GPS spots somewhere to try - happy to share if I can find them!
What a fantastic session , great shooting .
Just brilliant, Jack! Living the life! Proud of you.
Thanks! Looking forward to some trout fishing in spring now, and trying a new style

Cheers mate glad you enjoyed it! Some superb spearfishing around the UK, we’ve got a lot more fish than most other countries
Remarkable video jack
Your best yet.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. Amazing how many fish are present in the inshore areas that are too rocky for commercial fishing
Great video mate really helpful for me as a fisherman to know what’s down there
When spearing you barely ever see the bigger bass, they’re too wary. The line anglers catch more big fish, I’ve barely shot any over 5lb
Awesome Video Jack! Gotta superglue that safety off mate :D

Amazing footage and your audio quality is better this time! Well done!
Thanks, used my SLR for audio rather than the Iphone 4 so definitely an improvement!

North Wales is 16-17 degrees in July to September, I personally prefer 7mm all year, depends on how warm you run though

Cheers,my stomping ground…
Does the 2 sea bass per day not count for spear fishing?
Same quotas and minimum sizes as line fishing, a lot of my videos have clips from multiple sessions edited together though
Is this near abersoch
All off the south Llyn, some footage near abersoch and some further west
Where abouts in abersoch is this ? Also can you find spider crabs in abersoch?
Really interesting observations on state of tide and fish activity. Thanks for posting .
