    This is the best Finals content I've found yet. As a medium main, I love these strategies. I main as a sort of medic medium, but I also like to use the area denial options to keep objectives safe or to make areas hard to defend. The 1887 is my go to, but I've been trying out the grenade launcher. Still figuring that one out. Good tips!

    3:00 There is a very good reason why you would do this. If the teammate, that you are healing is getting shot by another person, you can distract them by making yourself a target but not an easy one ☝️mind you. It will give you teammate a brief reprieve of fire and maybe enough time for the healing beam to actually keep him alive

    Been solo queueing WT into Gold and it’s hell. Teammates are toxic or have been carried up to low Gold (low Emerald too!) and I’m blessed with the opportunity to carry their weight 🙏
    I traded in my Defibrillator for a Zipline. The time spent full reviving a teammate can be gained back with a good Zipline. Alternatively, the positioning potential of a Zipline is so good compared to Jump Pad.
    Also, not all teammates are really worth a Defib :P
    Default kit: Demat, FCAR or Model 1887, Explosive Mines, Jump Pad, Zipline. I’ll switch to Healing Beam occasionally if I queue into a Heavy-Medium/Heavy team.

    Just started playing and LET'S GOOOOO, A STRAT GUIDE THAT ISN'T 11 MONTHS OLD. Also, question about the healing beam part: you said there's no reason to get out behind cover, but wouldn't it be better to weave in and out of cover to draw a little aggro away from whoever you're healing? 250 is a decent size HP pool, so you're probably not gonna get killed instantly if you momentarily step out too far. Then again, I don't even know what most of the weapons do yet, but I was just wondering.

      It is a good strat but usually players tend to finish off the healing guy as soon as they see him so it makes sense to stay in cover . What u said is also true but most of the time the enemies will start chasing or be more defensive after they see a healer

    Hey Mato very nice video here are some of my thoughts and my go to build cause i fell like sharing them, for me the APS is the best flex slot gadget for the support playstyle aslong as you have a heavy with barricades in youre team, it just makes them that much harder to get rid off. Then the lockdown playstyle i would definetly still use jumppad for the chashout version at least.
    cause gas mines, the turret and you yourself should be enough to cover a objective and it just makes traversal between cashout easier and also gives some neat options for an always bouncing chashout. the the demat i would say is THE specialization for melee weapon usage combine it with a jumppad and or zipline for maximum movement aswell as frags for some damage over distance and you have a very fun playstyle. so now for my playstyle i just pretty much took something from all ends i play healbeam with Fcar cause i like the scope honestly explosive mines for area denial / a budget demat, jumpad/ Zipline for movement and the good old defib with gasmines ,aps turret and the model 1887 in the reserve. lemme say it again a wonderful video and you gained a new sub from it :D

      Same but with the AKM. It slaps. The amount of times I am the last alive, quickly defib someone, and get the 2v3 is unreal

      True,both good weapons for all range...famas = balanced between fire rate and damage......revolver = very short "sniper" but satisfying when you eliminate enemies with it

    Great video! My only criticism I guess, and I suppose it’s really just personal preference, is that I disagree with your picks for weapons you don’t recommend actually lol.
    The heal beam actually lends itself quite well to a melee play-style, especially if you have at least one heavy on your team. Both melee weapons for medium have defensive capabilities which will allow you to stay alive longer which will let you heal more. I tend to just play hyper medic when I use a melee weapon, so I’ll usually just follow my heavy around and heal him or defend/distract for him. Then whenever there’s an opening, you go on the attack. It’s a great strat if you’re a fan of melee. I actually find it better than the dematerialiser some of the time because melee is quite tough to pull off for the medium class. You don’t have a lot of chase potential, so being able to heal and mitigate damage while you’re not in favourable melee range is nice.
    I’ll also say I understand why you wouldn’t recommend the grenade launcher for the “defensive” playstyle, but I don’t quite agree with that either. I think any time you’re bringing mines - especially if you’re bringing two different ones - it’s not a bad idea to bring the grenade launcher. I wouldn’t necessarily worry about setting off mines on accident, because that usually means an enemy is in range of the mine anyway and it’ll deal extra damage like you said for the third playstyle.
    Just a personal preference though like I said!

      Yeah, good points. To be fair, I don't really use melee weapons when I play Medium, so I'm not 100% sure on what the ideal strat is for using them

      @@MatoTM that’s fair. I definitely don’t consider myself an expert by any means, but I’ve been trying to make the dual swords work as best I can. Unfortunately they get hard countered by anyone else in the lobby using a melee weapon, and flame throwers, and shotguns. So if I see more than one person using those weapons, I just switch out to something else. But as far as I can tell, using a healing beam and playing hyper support is the way to go unless you have very great movement with the dematerialiser (and there aren’t too many lights lol)

    Blowing up Explosive Mines before they are armed deals much less dmg, no?
    Might be able to catch a light with the frag combo, but idk about Mediums or Heavies

      As I was making this video, a patch came out that changed the damage on mines and other explosives. Mines still work well in the build, though. It's just not as effective for the combo I mentioned of blowing them up yourself. Placing a mine or 2 behind you as you retreat still catches people often or tossing a frag/pyro.

    My build on Medium is exactly like this: Guardian Turret / AKM / Grenade / Gas Mine / Defibrillator I always enter cashout mode with this build. Do you think this build is good?

      Yes. More recently, glitch traps have been the way to go, but what you have is still good.
      The 1887 is the top weapon for Medium right now at the high end, but that kind of stuff tends to change over time, so I recommend sticking with what you like.

    Medium is my first love in this game. With the new season brought the heavy grapple and that’s the only complaint I’ll ever really talk about. For medium builds, especially in tournament, there’s just no counter to that grapple for mediums. I really don’t like the grapple

      @@flowrepeats I’ve been bringing glitch traps quite a bit lately for that reason. But if you still get hit with it, you just try to run immediately, place a jump pad at your feet, and cross your fingers lol.

      @@Freashfro what are mines or a jump pad going to do when one team mate is down, your other teammate has a sliver of health left and you’re basically last alive against two heavy’s running grapple + sledge? Where’s the counter

      @@flowrepeats switch to jump pad before grapple connects deploy as you get close the speed your traveling at will continue over there head to behind them giving you more than enough time to get away sounds stupid but if you get the timing down works pretty well and if not drop mines as they pull you for the kamikaze
