That speed queen is well engineered because most washers that low of water your camera would have got washed by splashing!!Man those clothes are clean what water action its got i really like your speed queen they allways did make a quality product..

Check out that bomb ass agitator. With a full load the clothes would get scrubbed on the way down as well. Stainless steel tub, Booyah! The agitator also looks like it has a slower 180 degree turn, as opposed to those quick thunka-thunka 90 degree turns of the 80s to 2000 Kenmores

@arkansastrash320 - very true. It's amazing how controlled it is considering how fast (68 per minutes) the RPMs are and the 210 degree stroke. I usually wash small loads on gentle, but when you want something clean, nothing beats this!

Hi, the softener dispenser just pulls off and you can clean and flush to maintain it as free flowing, but how do you remove the agitator to check for tangles etc under the agitator???? A reply would be greatly appreciated.

@DanManTN Old comment, but have you thought of maybe changing the water valve? I do believe some older ones are designed the same but don't have the flow restrictor on it, (maybe you heard about that on the automatic washer site) but at the same time, there is the possible warranty issue.

hey great video. May i ask you. on this washer, when you select extra rinse...does it still spin after the wash...releasing softener only on the first rinse...or does it just drain and fill and save spinning for before the last rinse? thanks

hey dan, is your water pressure low or is there a flow restrictor? i know with my new frigidaire top loader i just bought restricts water flow on the incoming hot water which really BUGS the heck out of me!

Sufficient water, detergent and wash action. That is how clothes get clean, it isn't a secret but for some reason, todays washing machine manufacturers/whoever is in control of these things, has lost sight of these three simple ingredients.

hey nrones...when the washing machine spins out the wash water...the fast speed will start to lift up the softener...then it all collects at the top of an inner rim. then when the tub slows down for rinse. all the softener falls onto the bottom of the tub then mixes with water:)

    when was the bleach dispensed?

One way to remove the agitator is to fill the washer with 1/2 a tub of HOT water. Once filled, allow to sit for about 5-10 minutes to warm the agitator (power off). With your fingers under the edges of the bottom of agitator, GENTLY and FIRMLY rock the agitator back and forth and in a bit of a circular motion. It will wiggle off with some effort. Be very CAREFUL as the water is, of course, hot...you may want to wear heat-resistant gloves if you are sensitive. Agitator puller is another way.

The softener is dispensed after the first rinse. The second rinse is identical to the first.

@jrankine91 I used the automatic bleach dispenser--added at first at the same time as the detergent.

@kmb0284 Yes, like most modern washers, Speed Queen has those same restrictors on it -- somehow this is suppose to save the environment says the government. :( It drives me nuts, too--so I usually just wash everything on warm--which is a 60/40 mix.
