wow. great job. some of those scores were hard to replicate. the justin time track is so well played. this has helped me with my productions just by the midi visual. thanks
This is awesome. I heard Power of Love today for the first time in 30 years and it instantly transported me back to my white gloves and glo stick days! Wanted to mess with the piano melody in my studio and then found your video. You totally nailed it. I'm a guitarist but have limited piano skills so appreciate the work you put in to do this. Great job mate
Thanks, took a lot of patience and a lot of rewinding and playing again to figure out all the notes. It's always been a tune I've wanted to decipher and I'm really happy with the outcome. Just wish I had 4 hands to be able to play it live ;)
@@Snerkler1 can you recreate triple j - have it all(panoramic mix)? its a track ive been trying to replicate for years but i just dont have the skills after 10 years of trying lol
@@paulreynolds5751 I can have a go, not one of my favourites so am not that familiar with it but on first listen it sounds like I should be able to decipher it. Not sure when I'll get time but bear with me.
This was very interesting, I was very surprised to see lots of modal changes, borrowed chords and more Dorian and Mixolydian modes than i expected. Whether they meant this or not or whether it just sounded good can be speculated but lots to analyse here for music theorists. Cheers for doing this man, I've tried something similar over the years but your ears must be better than mine. :D
Thanks. I'm sure most will have done it by accident/trial and error. I don't know the theory that you have mentioned (I'm still learning) but have complied various "old school" piano lines, started with the basic chords and then played about with various notes until it sounds good/how I want it. Likewise with deciphering these piano lines, I worked out the root note then tried various chords from the root note, and if they weren't quite right tried 6ths etc etc until it sounded right to my ear. A lot of old school rave was done just 'vibing' rather than applying a strict theory.
@@Snerkler1 Yeah, I guess some of that could be attributed to the sampling of a chord, say a minor 7th then playing it up and down the keyboard and finding something that sounded good, so not strictly sticking to classic chord progression per se. All good stuff.
Thanks, glad you're finding them useful. I'm not doing requests unfortunately, but if I ever do any more and happen to do that track I'll let you know.
Sorry no packs, I'm not sure how that would work in terms of copyright infringements. I made the video so people can see the MIDI notes if they want to copy it 👍🏻
I think it’s ok to to download midi files of well known tracks. It’s if you officially release the finished track without the artists consent then things can get dirty. Saying that any chance of a copy of the Qtex power of love midi mate ? I would mega appreciate it
@@Snerkler1 great work some classics in there, if you could upload these to share that would be amazing private message if you dnt want it public as i am looking for some to remix like power of love and field of dreams cheers bud
@@djpodgeqdance thanks, I've not figured out how to export MIDI files yet, but the notes are all there to see in the video 👍🏻If I get around to figuring it out I'll let you know.

This looks like a lot of work.
Impressive. The Piano Obsession is perfect, I have the midi from Luna-C but it cuts off before the key change. I've always loved that tune.
