One of my favorites - Scouts get experience for exploring. Makes the card to give them double xp worth using and much easier to get to lvl 3. I've also had fun with - A mountain is fine too. This changes gameplay a bit because it adds resources to Mountain tiles and allows any civ to work them, along with a Mountain Hamlet which a builder can put on a mountain for housing and one culture right off the bat.
I would love to have longer in the classical era and medieval because the buildings are so nice or is like to be able to select that style as it permanently go onward

JFD is a modder who is infamous for making the "Rule with Faith" mod collection. Which basically makes governments more interesting Not to mention: Civitas City state overhaul mod. As well as Gedemo's City State collection.
I happen to like the bigger maps mod combined with more resources (mainly amenities) mod, as well as the mod that makes things take slightly longer, to keep early game units viable deeper into the game. I also use a mod that allows me to raze capitols. Makes for an interesting challenge, where I raze every city I take, and am forced to build my own from the ground up.
The best looking mods seem to be the ones that take their cue from the Civ 4 UI. Extended Policy Cards is very similar to the Civ 4 government screen, which would tell you what sort of effects you'd be getting when making some sort of switch. Global Relations is right out of the Civ 4 diplomatic screen. Seriously, Civ 5 and 6 did make some minor improvements on the game (love the hexes and I think 1UPT was the right way to go), but the Civ 4 UI was seriously the best I've ever seen in any Civ game. It was easy to navigate, you could access all the info you would ever need at a glance, and it didn't feel like there was any guesswork about how to optimize your Civ. I remember the Civ 5 UI was terrible in vanilla (I remember being frustrated by trade routes), but it got better by BNW. Civ 6 UI is just awful, though. And even after years of patches and DLC, some basic things were just never addressed. Like that "Extended Policy Cards" thing should have been the default. The trade route window is still a step back from Civ 5 (eg. sure, there's an "available routes" screen, but a) you can't look at _all_ of the origin cities and sort the trade routes by yield, and b) you can't even manually go through all the available routes because your capital never shows up as an origin city in that menu for some reason). You also can't check to see your trader paths during active routes, so you never really know where to put Reyna if you're going for that "passing through" bonus. Edit: Also forgot, I hate that you don't get a reminder when your deals with the AI expire. So if you're going for a culture victory where you want to have open borders with every other Civ to squeeze out a few extra tourism points, you have to keep checking that the agreement's still in effect. Same with luxury for GPT agreements. Late game, you might be making a ton of gold off of selling luxuries, so even if you let the deal lapse for two or three turns because you didn't notice that the deal expired, you've lost out on a decent amount of gold just because nobody bothered to program a simple reminder into the game like they had in the previous installments.
I love the better report screen. OMG how did I survive so long with the basic UI. It's really useful for the units, and the unit list is much more manageable than the default unit list. I also use nukes new animation, natural gas, Sukritract's Oceans (I agree it's a fantastic mod), Steel and Thunder units mods, and of course colorized historic moments and ynamp. I'll be subscribing to detailed map tacs I think, extended policy cards and hillier hills looks good too.

I don't use any mods since I can't get my one I care about to work anymore. I just want Yet Not Another Map Pack to work so I can have my huge earth. Regular maps are stupid, just like the loyalty thing, world congress garbage, influence trash, weather disaster trash, all crap. I just want standard rules and my proper earth map. But Even Modas True Start Earth, doesn't work. So the game is pretty much dead to me.
Im kinda cringed for pillaging theme for soviets. Among other imperialist powers, soviets relied the least on pillaging local sources and relied on their own strategics the most. Post soviet countries are mostly poor not because they got pillaged but because soviets themselves failed.
It might be based on historic situations, where Russian troops would pillage as they retreated in order to deny resources to the invaders. I believe Napoleon's ill fated vacation was one such situation.
Nope, that's fitting for the soviets. The whole occupation of Eastern Europe was Soviet imperialism of stealing local resources and labor. Russia is poor because soviets failed, every other post-soviet country is poor because soviet exploitation.

I think I played a grand total of 1 month of Civ 6 before installing Terra Mibillis and never looked back.

What if I told you deserts DO exist beside tundra? Deserts aren't all in hot regions, there are plenty of cold deserts in the world.

There is a City Lights mod that I had downloaded in my game but it crashes when I play the game. Therefore, I have abandoned the mod.
