Hi, I do as described but Headphones don't appear in the list of devices. Everything was done as you said and I have previously connected many other devices the same way. This new JBL headphones are correctly connected to my iPhone but I cannot find them in the bluetooth of the MacBook. What could be the reason?
My Utaxo bluetooth headphones are new. Very nice system, luxurious feeling, noise cancelling etc. They work with my iPhone brilliantly... (without any special support or care needed). But, ironically, they do not work for my MacBook Pro (even with these special instructions)! Any other suggestions, please?? Thank you!

Because I searched on google and it said to look at my headphones instructions that came with the headphones but I threw that away like a year ago so this honestly helped so much. Now I can connect my headphones to my Mac with no problem!

Or u can just connect the wire to the mac and go to settings and sounds and set the play sound through button to your headphones (Dont forget to select your headset on the output button and the input button)

Hi, sometimes it helps to restart the computer. But I have also seen a few headphones that simply do not get recognized by the computer, while they do work fine with smartphones.
Can you check battery life of the headphones while connected to a Mac? When connected to my iphone the device indicates how much battery life I have left. I don't know how to tell on my computer.
What about the mic on JBL LIVE 650BTNC? I cannot make it work on my laptop with macOs High Sierra. I can select it as an input device in Sound Preferences, but its not working. On another machine with win 10 I have no problem. Anybody can help?
I have the same problem, too! My Marshall Major IV’s microphone won’t work on my MacBook Air (macOS Mojave), but it works on my iPhone. Did you solve this issue, by this time? It’s really frustrating.

TIP In order for the pairing to happen, you MUST hold the power on switch in the ON position for several seconds to allow pairing to happen on my SONY headset.

I use a Sony H.ear on 3, and it will not connect to my MacOS. It shows “connected” but the sound is still coming out from the internal speaker

I don’t know if a way to do that on a Mac.
As far as I know this is only supported with Apple Bluetooth devices, like a mouse or keyboard.

My Sony WH-CH700N is not popping out on the bluetooth :( I don't think my Mac can find it

i figured it out! Hold 7 seconds on the power button and it will re appear on all bluetooth platform.

Tip: disconnect the charging cable before trying to connect, otherwise you'll never see the flashing blue pairing light. (This was on Tune 500BT.)
