  • Ellie is an 88 year old superwoman. She started skiing when she was 33 years old and at the age of 82 had to give it up because of too many injuries. Ever since, her dream has been to get back on the slopes one last time. Luckily, our friends at Wish of a Lifetime heard Ellie's story and decided they'd help her achieve that goal. We were so lucky to have taken part in this adventure and want to thank our friends at Wish of a Lifetime a million times for inviting us along on this journey.
Please please please go check out the incredible work they do to help elders live out their last wishes and get out of isolation: wishofalifetim...
If you wanna become involved with Wish of a Lifetime right now, here's what you can do LITERALLY tomorrow:
Tomorrow, February 14th, Wish of a lifetime's 5th annual CupidCrew movement will impact 20 thousand lives worldwide. CupidCrew is a movement that delivers thousands of roses to our elders around the world on Valentine’s Day.

My grandma is about to retire and her DREAM is to travel around Europe. She grew up the eldest of her siblings and ended acting as a mother to her siblings. She is such a loving woman and truly has an attitude of “who cares?!” Which actually reminds me of you guys. She does what makes her happy and what will benefit her family. She has pretty much raised me and I could actually die happy if I could tell her that we can take her to Europe. You guys are amazing. Much love. ❤️

My grandfather who is in his 80’s used to love to go sailing but his eyes went bad and now all he does is sleep and home. Everyday he asks to go sailing but he isn’t able to. If you guys are able to help him go sailing or be on a boat again, it would make his lifetime.

My grandma is my hero and was the only person ever there for me at all times while I was growing up. This past summer, she suffered from a stroke and ever since then still remains in the nursing home for assisted living. She’s always wanted to go to Vietnam again but unfortunately now, that’s a little harder to do. Just watching this video though truly melted my heart!

I cried from the first second this video started to even now as I write this. This was a hard video for me to watch. I lost my only two surviving grandparents within 14 months of each other. My grandfather passed away after a painful 7 month battle with pancreatic cancer in May of 2017. The summer before he passed, he was the healthiest man I knew and was out sailing on the lake and living his life to the fullest. In early July of this year, my grandmother passed away due to kidney failure, but a broken heart as well. Again, the summer before she passed, she was out on the lake slalom skiing. She still holds the record for being the oldest slalom skier on that lake. Both my grandparents were so lively and had so much joy and had a drive to live their lives to the fullest. It's hard to know that they are no longer on this planet, but I am glad to know that they are with the Lord and they are together again. My emotions are still very raw right now, but I you guys did a fantastic job on this video and I'm so glad Ellie got a chance to live her dream again! Keep doing what you're doing, Yes Theory. You inspire me.

I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my father and my grandma within a span of 12 days. My father was a man who loved to travel but unfortunately he met with an accident in one of the trips which took his life. Grandma passed away 12 days later in her sleep. I'm the kind of person who usually bottles up my feelings but this video honestly brought tears to my eyes. I just hope wherever they are, they are happy.

My grandma is an immigrant from North Korea. She left a communist regime and escaped to South Korea in hopes of a better life. Around 25 years ago, she left her husband behind and came to America. At 92 years old, my grandpa has lived in S.Korea his entire life. For the past couple of years, my grandma has made it her goal to go to Korea to see him. Unfortunately, health concerns have limited them to seeing each other through a phone screen. Just two weeks ago, my grandfather passed away before they were ever able to see each other. She wasn’t even able to attend the funeral. It’s been her dream to relive her younger days by getting a chance to go back to South Korea to visit the place where she grew up. Check out instagram.com/p/BQohniyj8VT/ to see their photo together! I have just recently discovered this channel and I think i missed half of my life. This is my day 2 binge watching all your videos and I think I'm actually dehydrated right now because of crying. Hahahahaha. I am a Filipino living in Melbourne right now and as you all know we've been on a stage 4 restriction which means we cannot go out at all unless we're buying essential stuff but in my case i didn't know how to drive so that's why I am staying at home the whole 6 weeks and this is my quarantine task to finish binge watching all your videos and learn how to seek that discomfort and try saying yes to an adventure.
I'm loving every bits of this video btw as i am missing my grandparents back in my country.
Thank you, yes theory! For inspiring us to seek discomfort and also providing comfort amidst of this chaos. 🤍

About 3 years ago I went skydiving in Boston with my sister & cousin, and my grandma said to let her know when I’m going to do it again because she wants to skydive as well. She’s turning 93 in May and with old age she’s become more anxious about many things so I’m not sure if she’s still up for it. If the opportunity came up, I would ask her if she’ll be up & able to do it. Love you guys!! This video is very touching and inspiring !

My grandpa, who is turning 87 in a few days, used to be in the Navy, and had traveled to a few international bases, but there is still one place he wants to go. I asked him if he could choose anywhere in the world to go where would it be? And he replied with Tahiti. I told him we would go one day, but he shook his head. Ever since he lost his leg to an infection, he hasn’t had much motivation to go anywhere. This would fulfill one of his last wishes :)) thank you guys for the opportunity to write this and thank you guys for always giving back to people!

And it’s funny, I’m so lucky, my grandma at 86 has started to travel with me, (I’m in high school) taking me to places as far as Switzerland, Austria, Germany and some other places. She’s a badass, in her lifetime she has gone on strikes with her fellow teachers in the forty’s, helped my grandfather who was a scientist that created inventions in things we use everyday, but of course was too good of a guy and was going through hard things at home too make a profit off of (obviously he did ok if she can take me to Europe but I’m saying he could of been a millionaire), she taught in some of New York’s roughest public schools for more then forty years, helping the impoverished, the disabled. It’s insane, I’m balling thinking about how blessed I am to grow up with both sets of my grandparents who have incredible stories and have gone through hardships I will never understand. I’m just sad, knowing my grandparents lived there lives the best they can, and I’m worried that I won’t be as successful as them, or as successful as my parents. Which would be disappointing more for them than me. I just want to have a good time, go out and have a blast like you folks are, and thank god you found an economical way of doing it, Someone should get to have a little bit of fun in their life. High schools definitely been a drag lately and you guys have helped/not, creating fantasy’s of running away and living on some beach in Cuba or the Caribbean, but please keep making videos. I’ve been watching them ever since you guys first popped up on Snapchat however long ago that was, probably not long, but still I’m happy to say I got here before most people 😘 congrats on having abuncha subs. Love you guys and keep on living dudes.

Hi guys, my names Brianna and I'm from Anchorage, Alaska! I'm 25, and sadly I can't say I have any grandparents alive. My grandmother passed away in her 50's when I was just a young child after she retired and moved from Alaska. She was such an inspiration. I have the best pictures, videos and memories of her to keep her spirit always with me. I think what would really make her happy is seeing her family happy and well. Her brother lives in California, and I would love to come out there and film something with him. He has a very small scooter that he actually rode up to see my dad in Oregon. Mind you He's pushing 80, but can still drink and have fun like he's in his 20s. That would really make my family feel so fortunate and especially make my grandpa proud and happy. Thanks for the inspirational videos, keep doing amazing things.

Guys, I have a challenge for you from someone called Jorfro (they left it in the comments on the sleepover video). Make a small band and try to book yourself a concert. The band must contain at least three members and must have one or more vocalist. You have to find a creative and suiting name. To successfully complete this challenge you have to sell a minimum of 100 tickets to ONE of your shows. Each ticket must cost at least one dollar or more. You are not permitted to advertise true your most popular social media channels.

Incredible video as always - I love you guys! My Grandma is turning 90 years old this year - she has wanted to go skydiving for a few years now. She is pretty frail but able to walk on her own without assistance. She grew up in France and learned English during WW2 when her hometown was occupied by German soldiers. Along with skydiving, she has also wanted to return to France since I can remember but was never afforded the opportunity. She has some amazing stories about what she has experienced throughout her life and has an immense wealth of knowledge that I enjoy hearing about every time I am able to visit her. Somehow there is always a story that I've never heard before.

Michael I hope you are doing as good as you can be in your situation, my grandpa died last June. He wasn’t a great guy wen he married my grandma at 19. He was a mean alcoholic and smoker and always fought with her and the kids not physically but still. When he wasn’t drunk he was a hard worker and good dad. He loved my grams so much he couldn’t stay away so every time they split a while later there’d be back and try to work it out. Eventually we came along, me and my identical sister. He had stopped drinking by this point. He was in AA and had done a lot to help people there. But he still smoked. He worked really hard to stop for us and eventually did. He did a good man but a great grandfather and I love him for all the fishing trips and camping trips and how he always did what he could for us. When we had to go to his funeral it was one of the hardest things I have ever done. But I saw his true impact when I went. Like I said earlier he was in AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) and we thought it would be a small family gathering and a few old friends who saw it in the paper. But there were even young kids there that my grandpa helped stop drinking and that was heartwarming to see. Any way even though he died because his drinking and smoking had most likely caused his multiple cancers he fought as long as possible even after have two open heart surgeries and a pacemaker put in he knew he did his best and died peacefully as a good man.
Kaaay, sorry for day sad mumbo jumbo the point is remember the good times and that these hard times will indeed pass.
Okay thanks for listening even though I am just a 14year old 13 when he passed, I hope I helped.
Oh and let the tears flow for the first few months when you think about her when she passes hopefully very peacefully, prayers going out to you tonight not the stupid emoji ones ok bye

wauw thank you for sharing your story,
my grandma died a few hours i posted the comment on this video.
she died peacefully in her sleep with her son (My dad) and her daughter near her side,
i feel sad writing this but i also feel rest in my heart and mind because she had the chance to speak to the whole family and say her goodbye's including me.
i have many great memories build up trough the years with my grandparents,
my grandma was 92 years old and very active on facebook replying to everyone's pictures and status updates,
so every time i posted something she was there with a like and a inspirational comment and always saying how much she loved the post or picture.
when she past away we posted about it with her facebook page, generating over 900 replies on it within a day.
she was the local facebook legend.
your grandpa sounds like he saw the light and really tried to change himself to be a better man
i have much respect for people who can do that, its easy to give up and go with a flow even when its a vicious circle heading to rock bottom. i'm glad he worked it out with your grandma
and i hope you have many great memories of him so you can remember him as the person he wants to be remembered as
thank you for your reply, means a lot to me

I’m so sad.... I love my grandmother so much and I want the best for her. She is 88 and almost 89 and he starting to forget things. I don’t think she has any hobbies and I just want the best for her but she doesn’t think she’s worth anything. Growing up, all her life people have told her she’s stupid. She believes it now. I just want her to be happy. I love her so much. I just don’t know what to do.... I want her to be happy.
Through this comment I can’t explain how much I care and feel. I don’t know what to do. Please help me. Please help us.

My grandma actually already had hers fulfilled last year but I wanted to share anyway. My grandmother fled Cuba in the 60's with her family and did not want to leave. She actually went missing a few days they were expected to leave but they found her and she came to the states. December of 2017 (a year before I post this) she was able to go home for the first time in 50 years. Her cousin had been going back and forth with his wife to restore an old theater in her home town, so they made arrangements for her to go and see the opening of it, and of course see home. Unfortunately the theater was unable to reopen but she will never forget going back home.

Colorado is a beautiful place and an even better place to ski! So glad to see them taking her skiing and making her dream come true again. My grandpa had so many wishes I knew it but he had bladder and lung cancer, couldn't make it so we could do those dreams. It's great to know that people are still going out there doing this.
I went to a retirement home just for 2 hours with a group and did activities with them. My friends danced with them, we drew pictures with them and heard their stories. If you haven't gone out and just hung out with seniors do it. It's great to know the community and get great advice.

Re-watching this episode made me really emotional, i always admire the old people with still the desire to live on & be excited with the tomorrows. In my entourage, i always try to make old people smile & happy because they're still here and kicking ! Some families, help-workers often forget that. It was a really good episode with you guys ! Really appreciated it :)

So inspiring, my granpa is 75 and still has his annual sky pass! I hope he can continue going skiing every week for many years to come. He goes with his «young» friends in their fifties, who are always impressed and inspired by him. His age never stoped him from skiing, fishing, gardening and much more, he always does what he wants! He is my role model in so many ways. He was in the military, a firefighter and police officer for many years, and has such amazing stories. He is even busier now that he's retired with the community service he does. He's the best grandpa and father figure I could have ever asked for.

My great-grandma passed this year in June at 88 years old. It was really beautiful to see another person the same age as her just as lively and full of emotion and just so impassioned with life. I really hope Ellie is doing well and I hope she can go skiing again.
