6:30 I respect Dr. Taimur's intentions but this is why modern economic Leftists go all wrong in trying to denounce modern capitalism by equating it naively with 19th and early 20th century capitalism. Modern capitalism is the result of great strides made using socialist interventions like employee rights and benefits, into the capitalism of pre-20th century.
To say stuff like "Capitalism makes the rich richer, and the poor poorer" to describe efficient modern (semi-)capitalist economies that have incorporated socialist reforms, is naivety of the highest order. Modern capitalism, coupled with enough fair competitive market policies and decent employee rights policies, makes the rich and poor *both* richer. The argument is something like one gives for democracy, that it's not the perfect system but it's the best out of the options we have.
Yes the rich get more richer than the poor, but it also brings the poor out of poverty. The idealistic Leftists hence are quite rightly called delusional when they try to superimpose Marx's learnings on 19th century capitalism on modern times (and partly because it's cool to curse capitalism among the progressive youth).
The dream of Communist utopia has failed in every economy (unless it's done in very small economies), because the pride and arrogance of the belief in Communist ideology among Communist leaders ends up negating the entire basis of the socialist ideology over time. The result is the rise of authoritarian demagogues, and replacement of the old bourgeois with a new entitled one who falsely claim to be the saviors of the proletariat. From Stalin to Mao, the result is evident. Then the convenient argument of "Oh but that wasn't real communism" is taken.
Capitalism in its core ideologically is biased towards capitalists (Which is not the majority of people).
So that evolved capitalism you talked about has the same core ideology which is exploitative towards other classes of society.
We could not eliminate army role in politics as well as Elite / Ashrafia' role which include higher bureaceacy/ jaguedars / judicuary / business mafia/ media

Pakistan did not get the benefits of American aid during the Zia and Musharraf era because of the wrong policies of the military governments thereby many countries like Taiwan, South Korea, and Singapore were dictators from their armies and they were American allies like Pakistan but their good policies made them Asian tigers.
