- The sad reality is that Pakistan has completely lost all its economic sovereignty under the pressure of international capital. The historic tasks to which all the youth of the country need to devote themselves is to achieve the economic emancipation and independence of Pakistan.
This lecture was recorded at Punjab University and organised by the Pashtun Educational Development Movement on 23rd May 2024.

You need organized students to settle economic problems. No other way! Workers are 99% in pathos of wages. Forget them. Students have free time for freedom.

Basic structural Economic problems go hand in hand with superstructural problems of politics, law/courts/justice, intellectual freedom, freedom of speech and need for maiming or at least taming of uncontrolled pest disease called "Establishment" in Pakistan! Remember! Marx said "hand-in-hand" ("compatibility"). A decadent superstructure of force/lawlessness is INCOMPATIBLE with focus on economics/economy. Lootmaar can't be compayible with nice economic enterprises though extortion enterprise is compatible with Lootmaar lawless superstructure. Pakistan ought to emphasize FREEDOM OF SPEECH simultaneously while establishing the economy against a Dacoit-Gangster Establishment on Green uniform.

Workers are usually too busy working to join children's clubs. They must work to pay the taxes to fund the navel gazers hiding from adult responsibilities at university.

I politely disagree with your point at 36:57. consumption pe tax itna bhi ghalat Nahi Kitna aap portray Kar rahay ho. I am an Imran supporter and when mifta Ismael said in his tenure that increasing price of petrol won't affect the poor, we all had a good share of laughter. he was so persistent and I was like he is one of few educated people in pmln and how can he say such naive thing. and he keep on insisting on his point shocking me every time. but,,,... later I realized we are not taking the volume of consumption in to account... a biker consumes 20L maximum per month. a car owner consumes 200 liters per month . a fortuner/ Prado owner must be consuming even more. so taking your 60rs per L tax compared to 30rs per L tax ... we are giving releaif of 6000 rs in tax to rich. in the name of 600rs relief of poor. I think the poor should be compensated some other way. rather than taking initiative that gives much larger tax relief to riches against small releif for poors.
Although a rich man uses more than a poor man, nonetheless, as a percentage of their income the poor man gives more in tax as a percentage of their income. This is why it is a regressive tax.

@@fahadjavaid7336 a person has to commute to work everyday. Send his kids to school. Take his parents to the hospital. Moreover, with rising fuel prices, all prices go up. So the poor person loses much more since their wealth is in income and the rich man's wealth is in terms of assets (like land and factories).
@@Taimur_Laal I agree only concerning businesses like bus, rickshaw, taxis. their fairs has been so high and poor people use it. it won't effect bikers much , but people with no bikes gets effected by using public busses, taxis etc. I know people who some how get free treatment or people help for medicine but can't really pay for taxi fares to and from hospitals. due to petrol prices , school van fees have also escalated that most of the time it surpasses the school fee.
Pakistan needs a strong army because of the dangers to Pakistan. Pakistan needs a strong conventional army.
Our army has to be within our means. Otherwise, there will be no Pakistan for the army to protect.
